      Lafayette (4-2)   NJIT (2-6)

NJIT Surprises Lafayette, Blows Out Leopards

      Coach's Corner

"That was definitely not our best performance, and our worst of the year so far. Not to make excuses but this was our 3rd game in 5 days. We are tired and it showed. I think we did underestimate NJIT today and it showed in the hustle stats. We were outrebounded and out hustled all over the floor.
Our shooting was terrible. We relied on Wheeler too much early on and today he was just 1-of-10 shooting. This brought us down and really made it a lopsided game.
We need to get back in the classroom and rework some things. There will definitely be some changes to our play in our next game.
Our kids jumped out to a big lead but couldn't stop NJIT. The were on fast breaks what seemed to be the whole game. Then they couldn't miss down the stretch. I think our poor defense had something to do with that as well.
This was a lookahead game to Rutgers and now we need to take care of business in New Jersey. That is all."

Thanks for following. I am trying to figure out how to make it a better quality. I record in HD but have to convert it to a different file format which decreases the quality. Hopefully I can figure it out soon, but I think you can still see it decently.

Looks good my friend. Just caught up. Decided to put my NCAA Football Dynasty on hold for a couple weeks and get a College Hoops fired back up.

                Coach's Corner

"Disgusting. That was a gross game to watch and I'm sure all of our fans are a little upset right now. I definitely am. I think that we just didn't put in the effort on the floor and we couldn't get anything going. We really couldn't stop the Scarlet Knights at all and we need to work on some stuff.
No one played well on offense and the only reason that this game was within 30 was because we made a little meaningless run in the last 2 minutes to cut it to about 20. I can't believe how bad we played throughout this game. Where was the defense?
I think we are going to just throw away this game tape and start fresh tomorrow. We have to get back to what we were doing in the first couple games this season and really take advantage of our strengths.
Wheeler needs to get going. We didn't have anything going and he is part of the reason. He really needs to find his shot. Otherwise we are going to be in for a long season."

Wheeler Explodes for 37 Points, 11 3-pointers in Win Over Columbia

                  Coach's Corner

"Hopefully this is the beginning of the type of basketball we are going to play for the rest of the season. Wow. We really came out and dominated the game from the outside. I almost felt like we couldn't miss for a stretch of the 2nd half, but we really came out and poured it on.
Wheeler dominated this game. What can you say. He was the best player on the floor and showed what he can do when he gets hot. He hit a school record 11 3-pointers and scored 37 points.
Benbow was amazing as well. I think that Wheelers ability to stretch the defense opened up his game as well. He is a slasher and showed that he can get to the rim. I think that he had his best game of the season too.
I think that we out-hustled them in every category and really shot the ball well, over 50% from the field overall and from 3-point range.
That was definitely a great team we just played. They came into the game at 9-1 and I could see them winning the Ivy League. They have a good back court. They all scored in double figures and really could have challenged us down the stretch if Wheeler had cooled off at all.
Now we have a week off. We can focus on a little bit of recruiting and then get to work on the games in 2 weeks."

Thanks for following as well. My last game has highlights of almost exclusively 3's, but that is because Wheeler was unconscious from 3-point range.
