Thanks for reading guys. Unfortunately for us, it's going to be tough to bounce back when the next game is a road game against conference leading High Point.

Coach Whitt's Take: It's always tough to win a close conference game on the road and tonight proved no different. High Point is the class of the league. We did a good job of hanging with them, but when your point guard is sitting on the sidelines in foul trouble for a lot of the game, it automatically puts you behind the eight ball. What was probably most disheartening there towards the end was seeing the Panthers run the shot clock down to five seconds and then hit a jumper. It's a tough loss that extends a three-game losing streak, but we'll bounce back.

Coach Whitt's Take: Let's analyze what worked for us...........that's right, not a BLEEP thing worked for us tonight. When you get a thorough beatdown like we got tonight, you have to give credit to the other team. Coastal Carolina played a tremendous game. They wanted this basketball game more. We played like a bunch of middle school girls out there.

Coach Whitt's Take: We didn't play our best game, but it's good to get back into the win column. Jamar Jenkins and Nick McFarlin put this squad on their shoulders and carried us. Jenkins was just a complete offensive player doing it inside and outside and McFarlin was doing his best Dennis Rodman impression, grabbing every board in sight. Amir Johnsonl slightly sprained his ankle, but we think he'll be ready for our next game against High Point.

Injury Update: Amir Johnson sufferred a sprained ankle, but should be at full strength for the game against High Point. Martell McDuffy is expected to return against High Point after recovering from a strained achilles.

Coach Whitt's Take: I've been preaching for the last year and a half that we need to defend better and we need to rebound better. We're still working on the defend part, but our offensive rebounding won us this game today. I was very pleased with the play of our front court today. Alex scored a career high 16 points and Nick got another double-double today matching a career high in points with 11. Huge team win today in front of the home crowd.

Coach Whitt's Take: What happened out there tonight is a prime example of why you have to play 40 minutes of basketball when you get to this level. Our guys thought they had this in the bag and we nearly blew a 21-point lead. Hats off to Liberty, they deserved to win this game tonight, cause we did everything we could to hand it to them at the end. We're lucky to escape with a win tonight.

Coach Whitt's Take: When you look at the box score, one stat will tell you the story. 16 second chance points...that's what helped us win this game. The guts and determination we showed in that second half was just awe-inspiring. We had a horrible shooting night, but we battled on the glass. And I just want to thank our fans. That's the loudest I've heard the Dedmon Center since I've been here. They were really up for this game and I think it rattled the Bulldogs a bit there in the second half. Another great close win for us.

Coach Whitt's Take: I was a bit worried about this game because they beat us by 14 points on our home floor. Tonight, we returned the favor and beat them by 23. When you have as good a shooting night as we did, it covers up defensive mistakes. Our low post defense was horrible. But, we didn't let their wing players run wild like we did in the first matchup and we were able to dictate the tempo.

Coach Whitt's Take: We saw two players put on a clinic today. Kenny Thomas and Chavis Holmes proved they are two of the best players in this conference as they both put their teams on their shoulders and carried them. Luckily for us, we had a little more backup for Kenny than they did and we were able to run away from them. The only thing that disappointed me was Amir Johnson picking up two very quick fouls in the opening minutes of the game. Last year, that would have spelt doom for us. This year, it is a much different story.
