Just caught up. When I saw you were 1-6, I thought you were in for a very long season of losing, but you have turned it around with some big wins especially over St Francis.

Glad to see some College hoops still being played and shared on the boards. I too have caught the fever and actually took Destiny out of my 360 for the first time in months. However I no longer have any college hoops files on this 360 so it meant starting over but I have been very happy with the results of my new born legacy and am excited to get to sharing what has happened so far.

I started to turn things around because I changed my sliders, but I think I'm going to change them again to find a good balance. I was originally using 500-bloc's sliders on MOP difficulty, then I switched to rspencer's All-Conference sliders. I might bump the difficulty to All-American to see if that evens me out.

Nice little win streak here. Hopefully you can keep it up and keep rising the NEC standings.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to keep the streak alive as well, at least to get back to .500. Three of my next four games are at home, but they are all against teams I struggled to beat last season (Sacred Heart, @St Francis NY, Quinnipiac, Farleigh Dickinson). As long as Johnson and Udanoh shoot well, I have a chance in each game.

                      2008-09, Game 17: at St. Francis (NY) (5-12, 3-3)

                      STEALING SEVEN
Long Island defense leads to seventh straight win

Brooklyn, NY -- Long Island won their seventh consecutive game thanks to forcing 19 turnovers in a 69-63 win over St. Francis (NY) at the Pope P.E. Center.

The full-court pressure once again proved successful, as the Blackbirds (8-9, 5-2) had 16 steals and overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to acheive victory.

"It definitely wasn't the easiest win we ever earned." said Long Island head coach Tyrell Coley. "I'm proud of our guys for not hanging them heads when things looked to get out of hand. We learned a lot about ourselves tonight."

Despite a poor shooting effort - Long Island connected on just 36.8% on their shots - the pressure of the defense kept St. Francis (NY) (5-13, 3-4) from doing any better. The Terriers shot 35% in the loss.

"They came out and made the adjustments they needed to, and we never countered." said St. Francis (NY) head coach Brian Nash. "No one is going to roll over for you, they fought back and we didn't execute our adjustments tonight."

Kyle Johnson lead the way for the Blackbirds with 20 points off 7-for-19 shooting. The sophomore added seven rebounds and five steals. Ron Manigault and Ike Udanoh chipped in with double-digit efforts, scoring 14 and 12 points respectively while each adding seven rebounds.

For St. Francis (NY), Ricky Cadell led the way with 14 points but only did so after shooting 4-for-14 from the floor and 2-for-9 from beyond the three-point line. Junior forward David Burton added 13 points, while sophomore guard Rocco Rubino scored 12 points off the bench.

Long Island has now gone four weeks without suffering defeat, which last occurred at the hands of the Cornell Big Red - a 71-55 loss back on December 20th. None of their victories have been sound, as the Blackbirds have won by an average of just 6.4 points over than span.

"We're competing every time we go out." said Coley. "We may not be blowing teams out, but we're showing that we can win the close games. At the end of the day, it's a W on our schedule and another game for us to improve."

Long Island rises to second in the Northeast Conference with the win, taking a half game lead over Robert Morris and sitting a half game behind Wagner. The Blackbirds will look to continue their streak next Thursday as they return home to face Quinnipiac.

The last game I played and all future games will be played with a new set of sliders. It's a mix of 500-bloc's and superjames' that makes me feel like it favors the team with the higher rating.

I'm also noticing that I skipped updating a game on this thread - I updated it on the other site I post on but forgot to do so here. I beat Sacred Heart (obviously since I'm on a seven game winning streak) 73-63 prior to the St. Francis (NY) game.

Should I continue this legacy, or start a new? It's been a long time since I played CH2k8 but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting an itch to play it again. I've played 3 games past my last update according to my save file, that part does bug me for the sake of readers who'd want to look back on this thread. I'm not sure, mulling things over.

                          Any advice would be appreciated.
