Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
NBA News and Rumors for 6/27/12 at 3:20pm PST- According to an official press release from the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a three team deal that would send Monta Ellis to Detroit Pistons. In the deal, the Houston Rockets would acquire C Andre Drummond, who they have coveted since the 2012 NBA draft.
The deal also involves Rodney Stuckey, Jeremy Lamb and two future first rounders heading to Milwaukee, Ellis, Shaun Livingston and Terrance Jones going to Detroit and Austin Daye, Will Bynum and Kim English being sent to Houston in addition to Drummond.
The Rockets remain very active in trade discussions and speculation is that the team has not yet relinquished their pursuit of Dwight Howard. Drummond is said to be a prospect coveted by the Magic and the Rockets have been discussing possible deals to acquire the high-potential big man since the days leading up to the draft.
"They're still very active" said one rival GM when asked about the Rockets recent moves, "I highly doubt that they are done dealing". - In an unrelated move the Houston Rockets have announced the waiving of Josh Harrelson and Greg Smith. Both players had non-guaranteed contracts for the 12/13 season.
- Dwight Howard, who reportedly had yet another discussion with the GM of the Magic earlier today, has reiterated that he will not be signing an extension with the team and would like to be traded to one of the teams on his list. Reports last week surfaced that the All-Star center would prefer to sign with the Mavericks if a trade with the Nets or Lakers cannot be consummated at or before the trading deadline.
- According to his agent, at least three teams have entered bids for the services of G/F Terrance Williams. Williams, who finished last year with the Kings, is one of the top remaining scorers in free agency.
- Sources indicate that the Cavaliers have floated the names of second year big man Tristan Thompson and hustle-center Anderson Varejao in trade discussions in recent days.
- Confirming earlier speculation, an employee within the Raptor organization has confirmed to me that the team continues to attempt to trade veteran guard Jose Calderon and his 10 million dollar expiring contract. Calderon first put in a request to be traded when Toronto acquired Kyle Lowry, who is expected to start when the season opens.

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
Just a quick note for you guys:
Don't forget to negotiate contracts with your second round picks. Keep in mind that most guys drafted in the second round are expecting non-guaranteed or partially guaranteed contracts. If these players do not have a contract by the start of the season then they will automatically enter unrestricted free agency.GO FALCONS!

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
Breaking News:
I am happy to announce that we have a new GM for the Memphis Grizzlies! Welcome, RussellBird!
A few more things to update:
Please exchange all financial information on traded players when you complete/discuss a trade amongst yourselves. I have a lot going on both in real life and here trying to run the association and I don't always have time to look it up for you guys.
The second notice I have is that you guys can look out for news and rumors over on the other forum from this point on. I am going to keep this thread for questions from you guys and non-game related updates from me, such as new user announcements and logistical stuff.
Finally, please do not announce transactions until the league has made it's official announcement.
Cheers,

Re: 30 Team Interactive Association
Hey Tarantism, I looked through the primer about the full MLE, but I was just wondering, I didn't find anywhere in the team packet about if we have a full MLE. If I do have a full non taxpayer MLE it gives me much more flexibility in offering free agents since the kicker kicked on the player I acquired earlier today. So, my question simply is, since I am under the cap and non tax payer but would go over the cap to sign this free agent, am I entitled to use the non tax payer MLE to sign a free agent?Comment
