Tough two straight losses, but a good bounce back win over the 'Wolves. Good luck against Houston. How does Gobert's injury affect your rotation?

Just played Houston. Gobert's injury hurt me initially, as I had to bring Kwame Brown onto the active roster.

It got worse as the injury bug hit my team in a bad, bad way.

Bittersweet Win For Jazz as Injury Bug Makes Its Rounds

          November 13, 2014

          Salt Lake City -
Despite the Jazz's 100-88 victory over the Houston Rockets, Energy Solutions Arena was a bit saddened after the game, as three key Utah players were plagued by injuries. Enes Kanter was the first to go down, as he went down clutching his knee in the 2nd quarter. Thankfully, he did not tear anything; he just hyperextended his knee. He will still be unavailable for at least 1 to 2 weeks, though.

The next to go was stud rookie Andrew Wiggins. Wiggins came down hard after being fouled on a jumpshot. An MRI later revealed that the rookie out of Kansas had suffered a high ankle sprain. Wiggins will be out for at least 4 to 6 weeks, which is not a good sign for the Jazz.

Just as if things couldn't get any worse, defensive anchor Derrick Favors went down early in the 4th quarter to a severe ankle sprain. He was later declared to be out for 2 to 4 weeks. Jazz fans were shocked with what was happening to their beloved team. First, it was Rudy Gobert, who sat out tonight due to knee soreness. Then, those three injuries mauled the Jazz tonight.

Luckily, Gordon Hayward came to play. Hayward recorded a triple-double with 30 points, 11 boards, and 11 assists, as he led the Jazz to their 6th victory of the season. Hayward was a master in getting to line, as he shot 8-8 from the free throw line and 4-6 from three-point land. Alec Burks finished with 13 points, 3 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. Trey Burke had 11 points and 5 assists, as well as 3 steals. Reserve veteran Kwame Brown stepped up and added 6 points and 6 boards after the injuries.

It will be interesting to see how Utah handles this situation, as they now have 4 of their key rotation players out for at least a week. They take on the Grizzlies on Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Jazz Trade John Lucas, Sign Erik Murphy

            November 14, 2014

            Salt Lake City -
The Utah Jazz have traded point guard John Lucas to the Phoenix Suns for the Miami Heat's 2nd round pick. The Jazz then used the free roster space to sign big man Erik Murphy. Murphy was signed to a 1 YR, $690K contract.

Murphy played 20 games for the Bulls last season in his rookie year. He is a skilled big man out of Florida, and is expected to start for the Jazz tomorrow night against Memphis.

Jazz Struggle As Injuries Take Their Toll

                November 15, 2014

                Salt Lake City -
The Grizzlies had no problem knocking off the Utah Jazz tonight, as Utah was without 4 of their key players. Rudy Gobert, Enes Kanter, Andrew Wiggins, and Derrick Favors are all out with injuries, and without them, the Jazz almost looked lost. They were held to 77 points, with 44 of those points coming from the duo of Trey Burke and Gordon Hayward.

Alec Burks struggled all night, shooting just 2-13 and finishing with 6 points. Not one Jazz player finished with double-digit rebounds, as Jeremy Evans led the team in boards with 9. Look for Rudy Gobert to potentially be placed back into the lineup early, as the Jazz need as much help as they can get.

Kinda off-topic, but the more I play this, the more I miss 30-team control. Some dumb stuff is kind of happening and it's making my league feel weird.

It's your thread, so nothing is OT in here lol.

                      What stuff is going on?

In mine, there was a Marc Gasol for Evan Turner trade and Melo signed with the Magic, but otherwise nothing too heinous. I managed to thwart LBJ signing with Utah (no offense).

In mine, there was a Marc Gasol for Evan Turner trade and Melo signed with the Magic, but otherwise nothing too heinous. I managed to thwart LBJ signing with Utah (no offense).
                        Melo's in Orlando in mine.

Isaiah Thomas signed with Philly, and is starting over MCW. MCW is coming off the bench in favor of starting Tony Wroten at shooting guard...

No CPU teams have an idea of definite rebuilding except for the Knicks.

Mavericks drafting Joel Embiid and then signing Andrew Bogut to a multi-year contract to start over Embiid.

                        Just doesn't feel authentic.

I wouldn't worry about Bogut, he'll only play 30% of the Mavs' games anyway.

If only 30-team control were an option.....................

Kobe Goes Down As Lakers Get 2 Straight On Jazz

                            November 18, 2014

The Jazz and the Lakers just finished their home-and-home mini-series tonight, with the Lakers getting victories in both games over the injury-plagued Jazz. The Lakers won the first game in Los Angeles by 4, but had Kobe Bryant suffer a severe concussion, which will sideline him for up to a month.

Even without Kobe, the Lakers were able to knock off the Jazz in Salt Lake City tonight, as well. Rudy Gobert made a return to the lineup, this time as a starter for the Jazz. However, Utah just didn't have enough firepower to pull out the W.

The Jazz take on the Rockets on the 20th in Houston.

Jazz Overcome Injuries to Snap 3-Game Losing Streak

                              November 20, 2014

                              Houston -
The Jazz managed to snap the 3-game losing streak that they had amounted following, coincidentally, their win against the Rockets last week with another win over Houston tonight. Gordon Hayward had a near-perfect game, as he shot 9-13, including 3-3 from three, to finish with 24 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals.

Houston's James Harden had a season-high 38 points, but it took him 35 shots to do so. Harden also chucked up 14 three-point shots, one shy of his career-high, but only got 4 of them to fall.

The Jazz travel to Dallas on Saturday to take on the 5-7 Mavericks.
