Yeah thatd be great! Getting UNC to at least the tournamnet is the main goal, the team is looking really weak right now

      ROSTER

      SCHEDULE

Note; This roster I believe is one year outdated from 14-15 but the majority of the high major and power conference schools are updated as of 14-15 but this is taking place one year afterwards so it's simmed into what would be the 15-16..

Re: Can't Stop Me | Story of Kendall Jenkins

        September 27th, 2015 - Settled in

Classes finally came around and Charlie was completely right, before it was even basketball season Kendall was already the big topic around the school. People had seen him on the media sites and assumed he was bound to be a superstar for their struggling team. He could barely walk through the courtyard without getting asked to take about twenty pictures but he was all good with that, he liked having fans on his side.

He had been making friends effortlessly and had finally met the team who all turned out to be cool but strikingly average in height when you look at it from the more important basketball standpoint. Kendall quickly realized he was the tallest player on the team.

He hung out with them for the most part; they did almost everything together in efforts to gain team chemistry before the season would start…

When Kendall’s scholarship benefits kicked in and he was able to move out of his place and receive his paid for on-campus apartment allowing him to easy access to the college social circle he hadn’t even really thought about… He was attending parties every weekend and meeting new girls like it was nothing. He had kept Charlie on his line, which he learned was a junior, but only maintained a friend label because when he met Lonnie he knew exactly why Ryan tried hard to lure him away from her… The guy was huge, about 6’3 and 250 and played for the football team and was actually very good.

Now he and the team were at one of those football teams as they took on North Arizona in a home game. It was only semi-packed as usual… The student section was loaded but not too many off-campus fans came around. Kendall learned the school didn’t have much of the base base, just a little over average. He hoped it’d be different with basketball.

The game was turning out to be a classic! Halfback Clay Robinson was going crazy in the rushing game, he was picking boatloads of yardage while in other instances senior quarterback Drew Pullman aired up competition after completion. Arizona was doing better though, their quarterback was outshining Drew, he was literally playing poised and ended up throwing for over 300 yards to lead the team through the one point victory.

“Man those guys are still garbage after all this time,” teammate Corey Spence blurts as the game ends. “We better make up for them and actually win some games.”

“A couple more days and we’re back at it,” senior and team leader Brendan Keane says. “It’s easier said than done though, it’s going to take a lot of work for us but we can do it.”

        October 4th, 2015 - Back at it

“… I know you boys are sick of just being average. We have not gone to the NCAA tournament since 2011… We went 21-11 that year and the year before that we were 25-8," B.J. Hill gazes at is players. "We can do it again, you just have to have heart and belief, we might as well strive for the best if we’re going to compete right?”

“Right.” The team agrees and nods.

“So let’s go, let’s get this season started the way we want it! We’ve got one month to prepare for our first game and it's against a TCU, nothing is going to be handed to us, we’ve got to work! Bring it in, take it away Brendan."

The boys all gather in a huddle and Brendan leads the chant, “Bears, Bears, Bears!”

They break off into five man weave in the presence of the media who gathered at the opening practice for an all-access episode. When the ball got to Kendall’s line he made the pass to Corey Spence and the ball traveled through player to player before it returned to him and he flushed down an insane 360 slam dunk.

Everybody goes into awe but Brendan doesn’t want any of it, “Calm down freshman, quit showing off!”

Kendall ignores it and runs on defense and swats Corey’s shot off the backboard and gets back into line like it’s nothing. The all-access media team calls him over after getting permission from Coach Hill.

“Hey Kendall, I’m Patrick Daniel. Sick play right there! We’re just interviewing the team so we can write a little pre-season preview for the boys’ basketball team. So yeah I’ll just be asking you a couple of question then you can get back to your work.”

        “Okay thanks, cool.”

“Yeah so, first question, when exactly did you begin playing basketball?”

“When I was like four, my mom bought me this little hoop and that’s really all I ever played with when I was younger.”

“Nice, what is your biggest accomplishment in your basketball career?”

“To be honest I don’t even have any right now besides going D-1… I remember I wrote a list of things I wanted to achieve while I was in high school and I ended up having a lot of troubles in my life so I couldn’t even get around to them in my senior year.”

“Can you elaborate on those troubles?”

        “It’s nothing, really.”

“Okay well, next question, what are your future plans in life and what are you majoring in?”

“Well I’d like to go to the NBA, it’s a hard task but I’m going to make it. If that fails I’ll go through with my sports medicine major.”

“Interesting, well that’s it. Good to meet you, Kendall.”

“You too.” Kendall gets out of the chair and returns back to the action where the team is going through simple shooting drills. It was just evaluation today so it was nothing special, just the opportunity for coach to see who’s who skill wise. When it’s over he wraps it up with a brief speech and lets the boys know tomorrow was a morning practice. He then personally calls Kendall to speak with him.

“Kendall I just want to thank you once again for coming here,” he grins. “I can already tell you're going to be something special... You had offers to schools like Cal but you turned it down and came here. Not too many people do that so just thank you.”

“No problem, all I’m asking for is that I get a lot of playing time, coach.” Kendall says in all seriousness.

“Yeah about that, I know you’re a small forward and all but it’s looking like you’re going to have to play the power forward position, the team is not very tall as you probably already know. I’m going to most likely end up starting Tevin and Jordan alongside with Tim at forward so you’d fit in well at the four I hope; you’ve got the leaping ability and even height to contend in this conference. What do you think?”

Kendall had played the four sometimes in high school and had no complaints only because the entire offense was ran through him, he didn’t know how it would work in college.

“Yeah sure, I can do that as long as I get the playing time.”

“Well I’ll let you in on a secret, if you rebound well you’ll play at least three fourths of those forty minutes per night."

          Northern Colorado Men's Basketball Preview

          10/3/2014

Greeley, Colo - With practice officially underway, Bears basketball has finally come.

"This will hopefully be a good year for us," said head coach B.J. Hill. "We bring a lot of energy but that'll need to continue for the rest of the season or else we'll fall behind. We're just trying to get off in the right direction."

With 12 out of 13 players suiting up this season, UNC has it's options to create a versatile team. They return Corey Spence, Tevin Svihovec, Dominique Lee, and Tim Huskisson; all seniors with high expectations for this season.

"This is bound to be a great team. We've got the lost apart of leadership with all our seniors ... They've all been great teammates in guiding the underclassmen through practice lately. Sometimes team unity can simply outwit another team's skill level, we'll look to win these games as a whole team."

Northern Colorado looks to bounce back from a loosing 11-15 season. Their first showing will be Bear Madness on October 20th before their season opener against TCU on November 7th.

          Meet your 2015-2016 Bears!

          Guards

The group of guards is very versatile with multiple strengths. We can suspect that Tevin Svichovec and Jordan Wilson or Corey Spence will start.

Corey Spence - Spence will provide speed and passing skills for UNC, the senior also enters his senior year and will have the experience the team needs.
Jordan Wilson - Wilson is only 5'7 but makes it up with his great court vision and knack to get the ball to the open shooters.
Tevin Svichovec - Smooth point guard who also happens to be a lights out three point shooter also with senior experience. Likely to start and lead the team in scoring.
Drew Bender - Exceptional shooting guard, capable three point shooter. Will give the team depth on the bench.
Greg Tucker - Will provide cups of water for his teammates as quick as possible.

          Forwards

With a talented group of forwards, these men will battle for position every practice. My prediction is that Tim Huskinson gets the start at small forward while Kendall Jenkins starts the four.

Cody McDavis - Returning player who is an above average rebounder.
Chase Drabyn - Two-star freshman recruit who's ready to contribute for the team right away at power forward.
Kendall Jenkins - Great athlete who'll give a scoring presence along with Tevin.
Tim Huskinson - All-around senior small forward who can do what the team needs. Likely to start.
Stefon Dearman - Freshman who won't get much playing time.

          Center
Branduinn Skeeter - 7'0 bigman who'll redshirt his frreshman year. Expected to be a big part of the team in the near future.
Brendan Keane - A senior and team leader. Will help the team in many ways on both offense and defense.

I want to give any new followers I might have a brief summary of all that has happened in this dynasty just in case you don't want to read through this whole thing.

Parents to Richard and Jana; Kendall was born in St. Louis, lived there for a couple of years before his parents left and went on a vacation to Las Vegas that would turn out to be very significant. Kendall and his younger brother stuck around with his aunt anticipating his parents to be back in just two weeks.

Things were all fun and games for them at first, enjoying the gambling experiences and what not. Eventually things went south for Kendall's dad Richard, he began getting sucked into the Vegas lifestyle; the gambling, the girls, etc. He ended up running off with some other women and they never saw him again.

Without him around Jana didn't have the cash to fly back out to St. Louis and her family was just as incapable to help her. This forced her to settle deep in North Las Vegas, perhaps the ghettos of Las Vegas, the town known for broken dreams, drug dealers, and gangbangers.

She found a low paying job that was just good enough for a new apartment and a ticket to fly her two sons there in hopes of a new life.

Now Kendall is entering his senior year at Mojave and is an all-out baller. One of the best in the state. His downside is highly considered his attitude he picked up over the years in result of his strict mom. College coaches haven’t really pursued him as much as they should because of this and after averaging solid numbers as a junior he is only coming into the year with three lower end college offers.
With Mojave's first game coming up against national powerhouse Bishop Gorman Kendall is announced ineligible in the game he greatly depended on for college exposure.

On that night Kendall opts out and fully skips the game [which he was entitled to attend] and instead goes out to a party with some of his friends however before they get there Kendall witnesses his friend Daryl perform drug-trafficking which Kendall takes interests in. Daryl tells him he do the deal and keep the money then the crew proceeds to the party in which is ended when they're tied into a serious gang violence situation where they're gunned down by multiple teens.

It isn't long until Kendall's a full member in a gang while also trying to continue his career on the court. From there Daryl took Kendall under his wing as he began to find out plenty of things he didn't even know about his own friend(s).

Every thing was fine at first, he was making some side cash in order to support his fatherless family until he started experiencing the worst of luck with the rival street gang [Rollerz]. It got as bad as his life being put on the line if he didn't complete an improbable task of murder... Kendall decided to run away from the troubles which unfortunately also had to end his Mojave basketball career.

He moved back to his original hometown, St. Louis.

While there Kendall wasn't able to pick up his basketball career because state rules but he managed to stay out of trouble while reuniting with all his family. He goes on to graduate from Sumner High School and returns to Vegas in the summer to revisit his mom and brother then announce his college signing.

His luck is once again cursed when the rival gang plots to kill him through the undercover sold out former leader of his affiliated gang [LJ]. When he ends up mentally incapable of killing Kendall he drops him off and goes on to kill a vast majority of the rivals before being shot by the same man [Ace] who's after Kendall but isn't arrested, instead another member is.

Worried, Kendall takes off for Northern Colorado [school he committed to for basketball] earlier than expected.

                October 20th, 2015 - Kendall Madness

“Now for your Bear Madness Slam Dunk Contest; the first contestant is the freshman, Kendall Jenkins!”

Kendall came out the tunnel cheering himself on with the crowd. He had this dunk all planned out. He threw it up in the lane and ran to catch it in the air and switched hands behind the back before throwing it down with a slight tomahawk. The fans went wild and he received a perfect score. The other contestants included Tim and Dominique and neither one of them could throw down anything to compete with Kendall’s dunk so he won the competition by a landslide. He got back to the locker to prepare for the main event.

He was running with the Gold squad tonight along with Tevin, Jordan, Greg, Brendan, Cody, and Branduinn. Coach Hill talked to them on what he expected, “Let’s give the fans a show out there, make sure they know this is a team they’re not going to want to miss. Have fun but play smart… Heck, you might be able to earn yourself some more rep if you do well. Let’s go, Gold on three; 1, 2, 3.”

“GOLD!” Kendall grabbed his practice jersey and got hyped with his eight man team before the player introductions.

“Alright y’all, let’s go out there and tear them up. The teams are not even fair, make sure they know why they’re on the bench.” Kendall boasts and is joined in with laughter from his teammates, except for Brendan.

“Number fifteen, six foot eight out of North Las Vegas, a freshman, Kendallll Jenkinssss!” The crowd roared for their highly hopeful hero and Kendall pointed out to the fans as he ran out the tunnel into the lightless gymnasium. He high fived his other teammates as they got their introductions and then they got things started.

Brendan won the opening tip and the scrimmage was underway. Tevin didn’t waste any time with chucking up a three point shot that hit nothing but net. Kendall shrugged at it but ran back on defense to defend Dominque which winded up being short lived as Kendall intercepted an outlet pass from Corey and delivered a slam dunk on the other end.

The student section went crazy and began a chant, “He’s a freshman, he’s a freshman, he’s a freshman!”

That gave Kendall a lot of drive. He started dominating the scrimmage like he was playing for his life. He got an outlet from Jordan and threw down yet another thunderous slam a couple of plays later.

Neither Dominque nor any of the entire navy team could stop him, he was scoring left and right and was even showing coach his rebounding abilities as promised. The exhibition was soon out of reach, gold blasted navy 63 to 49 and Kendall had 26 points, 11 rebounds, and only missed 4 of his 15 shots.

Everybody in that gym knew the kid was going to be as special as it gets.

After about a month of intense practicing the Northern Colorado men’s basketball team boarded the flight set out to Texas ready to play their first game of the season; the Mountain West’s TCU [Now a part of the Big 12]. Kendall was hyped and couldn’t wait for tip-off; everybody back at home and on campus was going to be tuned in to see how he’d do in his first collegiate basketball game.

“I can’t believe it’s finally here, I’m finally playing another game, you know how long it’s been since I played an organized basketball game?”

“Like last week, Bear Madness…” Dominique says with sarcasm.

“Shut up Domo.” Kendall laughs. “That’s a scrimmage, not a game smart ***.”

“Hey Kendall you better not be trying to show off like you’re always doing at practice, you’ll mess around and make a fool out of us.” Brendan adds.

“Would you get off my back sometimes?” Kendall snaps. “You talk like you’re Kareem or something, you ****ing suck.”

“Chill, chill; both of you!” Corey yells loud enough to get his point out. “This is not what we need before one of the hardest games this season.”

“I mean this dude’s always acting like he’s the **** because he’s a team captain, you don’t even know how to play ball!” Kendall says in rising frustration.

“Whatever, this is the exact reason I hate freshman. You guys come in and think you can just run things, you better find your place soon.”

“And you better-“ Kendall starts but is cut off.
“Shut up Kendall damn, just ignore him,” Chase who sat next to him mumbled. “Put those headphones on or something and just focus on what’s ahead of us.”

He nods and takes his headphones out from his backpack, relaxes and gets his mind right before they soon touched down in Fort Worth airport. Kendall grabbed his bag and got going with the rest of his team. They took a shuttle over to the TCU campus which was strikingly beautiful and blew UNC out of the water; they then arrive at the Daniel-Meyer arena seating just over seven thousand fans, a full house at that.

“Alright so here we go,” Coach Hill says as the men gather around him at the whiteboard. “First game of the season … They say everything is bigger in Texas and that’s true, these kids are huge. They’re going to have players who’re seven foot starting and coming off the bench who can all score in the post. This game isn’t going to be easy but if we do our thing, run our stuff then we can have the upper hand. Keep your composure out there, if you make a mistake don’t stress it, run back down the floor and play defense…” B.J. points to the whiteboard. “We’re going to need to stop the guards from driving, this team does not shoot many threes and especially since we’re a small team all they’re going to want to attack us and play physical. We’re setting up in 2-3, let’s force them to settle for bad shots and we win this game. We can do it… Bears on three; 1, 2, 3.”

“BEARS!” The men took the empty floor while the crowd roared boos. They got in their layup lines and Kendall made sure he flushed a reserve slam when he got the ball. Later on down the line in the shoot around he started pulling up shots at the free throw line but noticed they were all clanking, that couldn’t be good. When TCU brought out its players Kendall knew exactly what coach was talking about. Half their team was his height and the other half were all nearly the size of Tim [Forward, 6’5].

Kendall wasn’t fazed, if it was one thing he knew he was blessed with on the court it was his confidence.

Northern Colorado falls badly to TCU 88-64

                            Associated Press

GREELEY, Colo. -- Wasn't much of a start for Northern Colorado but if there's anything positive about the 88-64 loss it's got to be their starting five production.

Three players combined (Tevin Svihovec, Tim Huskisson, and Kendall Jenkins) for 44 points and Brendan Keane was just off of double digits with 8 points. Still, it wasn't enough to compete with the Horned Frogs.

The Bears got off to a descent start and kept close with TCU but with a couple adjustments things started to get out of reach in the second half. The Bears as an whole shot 36% from the field and 21% from beyond the arc. A huge downside regarding that three point percentage is that the Bears continued to fire off the threes, shooting a total of 19 and only converting on 4.

"We didn't get enough from our bench guys," B.J. Hill said. "I've stressed all the way up until this game that we need everybody on this team to contribute well, when our starters are tired it'd be great to know I can send in a capable backup. That's how things need to be. Upsetting loss for a team we could've beat, I believe."

Devonte Abron scored 16 points for Texas Christian and grabbed seven rebounds. The Horned Frogs only took three 3 point field goals throughout the game; the majority of their points came in the paint resulting in 52% shooting on the night.

Chauncey Collins added 10 points, 3 assists. Kenrich Williams had 12 and Karviar Shepard manned the post with Abron for 11 points. Michael Williams came off the bench and scored 11.

UNC will open their home schedule up with a game against Long Beach State this upcoming Wednesday.

The Recruits Shaping the Future: Volume 2
                              November, 2015

Welcome to the Recruits Shaping the Future series, here I'll follow a list of basketball prospects including Dontae Brown, Kane Herren, Tuomas Kousa, Nuka Seyde, Damon Wright, Harry Fredhman, Cole Campbell, and Stone Harper. Currently, we're in the college basketball off-season and tons of prep prospects are making their college decisions. Below I'll give some insight on how the selected players are doing...

                              Dontae' Brown – Oregon

The Ducks blew out Loyola Marymount in their first game of the season. Dontae' Brown established a sixth man role behind Dwayne Benjamin yet played 28 minutes and scored 8 points and a phenomenal total of 13 rebounds. He complained about issues with his wrist afterwards, trainers checked it out and noted it was a sprain but he'd be able to continue to play.

                              Kane Herren – Undecided

Herren's high school basketball team is back in full affect. The Fall River Knights won their first game against Bishop Connolly and Kane Herren played a big role, scoring 19 points with 8 assists. He says the same schools are continuing to pursue him and he says he'd probably like to go the academic route which is why Harvard tops his list.

                              Tuomas Kousa - Undecided

Tuomas Kousa reported on Twitter that he's finally gotten interests from a college which happens to be the Big East's Rutgers program.

                              Nuka Seyde – Temple

Nuka's height appears to have limited him on the college level, the forward did not register a single minute against Coppin State despite the team winning 90-60.

                              Damon Wright – Rutgers

Damon Wright played well in the 70-57 win against Monmouth, the guard had 8 points and 3 assists. He took it to Twitter after the game and stated he felt right at home and that he hoped to guide Rutgers to more wins.

                              Harry Fredman – Duke

The number one recruit didn't disappoint in Duke's 96-61 win over Wofford. Harry Fredman had 13 points and 6 rebounds. He still projects as a top pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

                              Cole Campbell – Notre Dame

Cole played very well in his season debut, scoring 14 points for the Fighting Irish as they surpassed Saint Frances in a 74-64 victory. Cole also played well on defense, claiming 3 steals.

                              Stone Harper - Undecided

Stanford's schedule wasted no time, they're first opponent was #24 Michigan State. The team used home court advantage to knock off the visiting Spartans and Stone Harper made his debut in the starting five. The guard out of Reno had 7 points, 4 rebounds, and shot 3-7 from the field. His teammate Chasson Randle would be the difference maker, going for 38 points with 6 three pointers.
