I like the way you operating in this off season. Coach Vogel, Jimmy Butler, Rondo and 1st pick Towns will bring you from the bottom to something like Western Conference Semifinals imho. You're are not ready for the title but you will be in two seasons

The Good: Jimmy Butler. The Lakers prized offseason pickup showed why the team paid him the big buck this summer. In 31 minutes, Butler scored a team high 26 points to go with 6 rebounds and 6 assist as the Lakers dominated the Warriors 128-105. Butler went 9-of-18 from the field including knocking down four three balls in the opening night rout.

The Bad: Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry struggled all night trying to find his shot as the Lakers threw Rajon Rondo, Jordan Clarkson, and even Jimmy Butler at one half of the Splash Brothers. Curry scored a game high 28 points with 8 rebounds and 10 assist, but he shot a woeful 11-of-31 from the field and only made one of his eight three point attempts in 40 minutes of action.

X-Factor: Kobe Bryant. Even at the age of 37, the Black Maba can still get buckets. Bryant finished with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting in 32 minutes. Bryant also dished out 4 assist and had 2 steals in the winning effort.

Rookie Watch: Karl-Anthony Towns. The number one overall pick put on a show in his first NBA game. Towns notched a double-double in his first professional game as he put ip 20 points and a game high 18 rebounds with 2 blocked shots. The former Kentucy Wildcat went 9-of-11 from the floor and was a +16 for the Lakers.

Injury Note: Klay Thompson left the game early in the 2nd quarter after suffering a broken ankle. The injury is expected to keep him out for 2-4 months.

The Good: Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba led all scorers with a dazzling 31 point performance tonight. Bryant let the offense come to him without forcing anything and it paid off for him and the Lakers. Kobe shot the ball efficiently going 9-of-14 from the field, 5-of-6 from three, and 8-of-11 from the charity stripe in 30 minutes.

The Bad: Andrew Wiggins. The 2nd year forward had a rough night has he had to deal with the defense of Jimmy Butler all game long. In 35 minutes, Wiggins finished with only 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting in the loss. The former Jayhawk went 1-of-6 from three as he started to settle because of the stifling defense from Butler. Wiggins was a -13 for the young Timberwolves.

X-Factor: Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Butler brought it on both sides of the ball for the Lakers in their 116-91 victory. The Good: Karl Anthony-Towns. Karl-Anthony Towns held his own going up against one of the best defensive bigs in the league in DeAndre Jordan. Towns notched his 3rd straight double-double finishing with 16 points, 19 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocked shots in 34 minutes. The number one pick went 7-of-13 shooting from the floor.

The Bad: J.J. Reddick. The usually sharpshooting Reddick couldn't buy a bucket to save his life as the basket had a lid on it everytime he shot. Even being set up beautifully by Chris Paul all game long, Reddick only shot 3-of-14 from the floor including going 1-of-9 from behind the arc to finish with 9 points and 4 rebounds in 30 minutes.

X-Factor: Jimmy Butler. Jimmy Buckets led the way for the Lakers in their 118-101 win over the Los Angles Clippers. Butler logged 36 minutes and finished with a game 28 points with 4 rebounds and 3 assist. Butler went 10-of-20 from the field, 4-of-8 from three, and 4-of-5 from the free throw line in the win.

Rookie Watch: Mario Hezonja. The Lakers other first round pick was a big spark off the bench. Hezonja put in 9 quick points on 4-of-5 shooting in just 6 minutes of action for the Lakers.

Injury Note: Mario Hezonja. Hezonja's night came to a quick end after he went down with a nasty ankle injury late in the 1st quarter. He didn't return to the game and is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow morning.

The Good: Kobe Bryant. Kobe didn't have the best night shooting the rock going 8-of-20, but he came up big in the 4th quarter as the Lakers held off the Phoenix Suns. Bryant scored 20 of his game high 27 points in the 4th as the Lakers picked up win number 5. Bryant also pitched in with 5 rebounds and 3 assist as he finished as a +7 for the game.

The Bad: Eric Bledsoe. Eric Bledsoe also had a horrible night shooting the ball and it cost the Suns a victory. Bledsoe finished the night with 18 points, 9 assist, and 3 blocks, but he only shot 7-of-21 from the field as he forced shot after shot after shot.

X-Factor: Jimmy Butler. Butler clocked in 35 minutes and scored 17 points on an impressive 8-of-13 shooting while pulling down 6 rebounds in the process. Butler also played some great defense on Marcus Morris holding him to 13 points on 6-of-17 shooting.

Rookie Watch: Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns continued his hot start to the season with a dominating performance against the Suns frontline. Towns finished with 19 points, 17 reebounds, 3 assist, and a game high 4 blocked shots on 8-of-10 shooting in 33 minutes of action.

The Good: Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba came up big for the Los Angeles in the clutch against the San Antonio Spurs. After the Spurs forced overtime, Bryant opened up the extra period by scoring 8 straight points to give the Lakers the elad. And when the Spurs were about to force another OT, Bryant wasn't having any of that as he nailed a beautiful fadeway jumper over Manu to give the Lakers the two point victory. The 5x champion finished with 34 points on 11-of-23 shooting.

The Bad: Brook Lopez. The Spurs prized free agent pickup struggled all night long against rookie bigman Karl-Anthony Towns. Lopez finished with a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds, but the 7 footer only shot 4-of-14 from the filed as he bricked jumper after jumper after jumper. And the few times he did go low to bang he was stuffed at the rim.

X-Factor: Julius Randle. Randle is off the a slow start to the season but he held his own while being matched up against the greatest power forward of all time. In 34 minutes, Randle finished with 18 points and 9 rebounds while going 6-of-11 from the field. He also brought it on the defensive end as he held Tim Duncan to only 7 points on 1-of-9 shooting.
