I'll say C, because I really don't think it's hard enough, but I like Jazzman's idea so I'll also add that maybe not quite a whole year but maybe, say, simming up to the New Year could shake things up. Holiday season would work well for story lines.

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Trek, this is awesome! What a great franchise. I didn't go through all of it, but I really like what you did. I want to see a team back in Seattle, and I love expansion/relocation franchises.
I thought about one in Louisville, something I still might do in the future.
As for where to go from here, I think you bump up to HOF and adjust it down so the CPU isn't at a big advantage.Comment

Looks like we have two votes for HOF with adjustments to make the CPU less god-like, and a simmed half-season/season for storyline purposes.
I'll keep taking suggestions through at least this weekend as I look for what to do. I know one thing that's for sure happening this offseason, storyline wise, that will impact the team and organization as a whole, and it could definitely work with the suggestions put forth here.
Thanks for the thoughts, folks.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Whatever you think will keep it fun for you. If HOF with adjustments is good, go for it. Maybe you adjust current sliders more based on some of the rebounding, shooting %, etc you are seeing.
You have done a great job with the story, so simming or playing, I'm sure it will be great and I'll look forward to reading it.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.Comment

Until I figure out what I want there, I have another project I'm working on that's really different from anything else I've done, so hopefully I'll be able to roll that tomorrow -- wanted a little variety with things, something to do when I hit the offseason here (just to keep me from getting burnout on this).Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Trek fan I really enjoy following your dynasty. I can relate to how hard it can be to find the right difficulty level and settings to play on to keep it fun and realistic.
Here are my house rules for playing:
Don't look at detailed ratings or badges unless making an edit to help gameplay
Look at stats and ratings grades to gather intel on players
Disconnect from Internet (hoping to avoid corrupt file)
No quick inbounds on baseline. Either run a play or pass to outside for a reset (too easy to turbo cut and score)
No leaving inbounder to steal on halfcourt inbounds
If I accidently pass to a guarded teammate and the ball warps through the defender, I don't take advantage. I reset
All cpu aids are turned off including play vision, stats Hud, shooting feedback, who to guard, defensive settings and match ups, points of emphasis, substitutions, timeouts, automatic fouling, cpu assist defense and boxing out.
I'm using the Lakers and the gameplay is very difficult. My team is 3-17 so far. I dropped the difficulty down to all star for a few games before I put it back up. Since then I've won 2 games and had two other games go to overtime. I should have just been a little more patient and stayed with superstar.
I also made my own sliders that start with lower numbers and then progressively climb up to default sim around all star break. Then I increased consistency, fouls and strength for playoffs.
Your roster is decent and so your team should be contending barring a major injury, which could be an interesting challenge your team hasn't faced. I also think turning everything to manual (including shooting) and turning off cpu aids could make things a little different. I frequently used the practice scrimmage mode during the beginning of the season to try things out and get used to shooting forms. It feels like I'm learning more about my team that way.Last edited by Coachjosh21; 04-09-2016, 02:58 PM.Comment

Have you ever considered doing a CH2K8 dynasty? Your storytelling is terrific and that game is really deep, I think you'd do greatMiami Heat

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Must apologize for the lack of updates of late, work has been insanely busy and looks to be that for the next two weeks at least. This will be gotten back to ... if I ever have a free moment and some energy leftover.
As always, thanks for keeping the faith.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Trekfan, awesome series!!!!
On my league with the Lakers, I randomly select one game per week to play, and then I randomly select whether I play a game or not in the playoffs. One playoffs I was swept because I did not get a chance to play a game at all!!!! I use All-Star sliders and I am having a blast. HOF, to me, gives the CPU way too much of an attributes boost. You just have an awesome team you put together, you can't fault that.Comment
