Trekfan, I do apologize if this has been asked before, and if so, please direct me as to where I can find as close to accurate setting as possible...With the the cap inflation through this year and next, what is the most realistic setting that I should put for Salary cap value and Salary cap inflation rate in MY League settings in the initial set up screen? Thank you so much for all that reply and Happy 4th of July!

I want to say one of the developers mentioned somewhere (I wanna say in a thread) that the real life salary cap inflations are built in to MyLeague for the first two years no matter what setting you use on the sliders -- only after those first two summers do the sliders take over, but 50 basically keeps it the same, higher will increase the cap, lower will decrease, but only after the summer of 2017 -- if I'm remembering right.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Back from vacation and I've completed the second test with these sliders. Once again, the game was pretty darn close -- Bucks made a serious effort at the end. I altered my starting lineup as well to experiment with some things (Coach Udoka has some interesting lineup adjustments), so here's what we got:
Comparing this between the other game, I think the main component for my high FG percentage is the points in the pain. Research shows that my points-in-paint scoring is really high -- looking back at the stats IRL the NBA doesn't see many teams eclipse 50 PIP on a season, but I tend to play that way because I'm not great at 3pt shooting and I like playing inside-out.
The team closest to what I'm doing IRL seems to be the George Karl Nuggets, specifically the 2012-13 version with Iggy as the head of that team. They averaged a ridiculous 57.3 PIP that year (and 53.4 PIP the year before). So, teams CAN do what I'm doing on a consistent basis, but it seems to be a bit high to me. I'm going to tweak the settings, bumping it up the paint defense 5 points for me and 3 points for the CPU (as to give them that advantage) and see if that offsets the numbers here.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
July 4th, 2018
Free agency officially began tomorrow, the first day that free agents could sign contracts with their new teams, but the NBA, the offseason, the whole damn world was the furthest thing from Max's mind as he watched the woman he loved load her things into the plane, refusing the offer for him to help.
The sun sunk slowly into the horizon, the flaming orange ball of light slowly making its way to the other side of the world. Just as Abby was about to do.
"There's nothing I can say to change your mind?"
Blonde hair blowing in the summer breeze, her blue eyes wavered for just a second. "No." She loaded her last bag on the plane and pulled a strand of her hair behind her ear. "I need to fly."
Simple words but they carried as much weight as a wrecking ball. He forced himself to breathe, trying to think his way out of this: he'd had weeks to come up with a strategy, some way to convince her to stay even if he knew the chances were slim.
He'd brought back a dead franchise from the bones of a broken one. He'd reinvigorated a fanbase and a city. He'd help bring three titles straight to a town the NBA abandoned. How could he accomplish all that and be so helpless now?
She flashed a small smile at him. "I see you thinking, Max." She pushed a finger gently into her chest. "I need to find my answer my way and so do you."
"What answer? What's the question?" He reached out and took her hands. She didn't recoil, but he could feel her tense and it made him wish all the more that he had the power to keep her here. "Damn it, Abby, what's out there?"
"Open air. The sky." She cast her eyes up for a moment and then met his. "Something that I need to find and explore."
He bit his lip. "Is it about finding something or just getting away from here? From me?"
She tensed further. "All of that." She pulled away, putting a distance between them that felt like a thousand miles but it was only a few feet. "I don't know what the future holds ... or if we have a future. I don't know if I can stay." Her eyes teared up. "I just see what could ... what might have been."
She wiped away the tears and he wished she would let him do it. He wished this wasn't happening. "I can come with you."
She laughed, shaking her head. "Your answers aren't up there. They're here." She extended her arms out wide. "This city. The team. Basketball. That's where you belong." She approached him and gave him a light embrace, like a friend saying goodbye.
He gave her a tight squeeze and then forced himself to let go. "I love you, Abby. I'll be here."
She looked down at the pavement, then back at him, a small smirk on her lips. "I'll be back." She climbed into the plane.
He stepped away from it, his chest tight. In minutes she was going down the runway, flying off to God-knew-where, her thoughts her own. Her life her own.
He was left behind.
And he didn't know what was next.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
All right, we have our first loss on the new sliders -- making the CPU better at defending in the paint seems to have altered thing, though the shooting percentages for both teams certainly don't reflect it. Still, I'm now 2-1 against the CPU with the adjusted sliders, so we'll see how it goes in the next game.

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
Working on the free agency wrap ups as well as redesigning the Thunder's uniforms (as 2018 will serve as their 10 year anniversary -- as much as I hate to admit it -- and that seems like a good time to redesign their craptastic threads).
Stay tuned.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
All right, I've completed the Thunder's uniform designs. Keeping in mind that the Thunder IRL don't see any real reason to radically alter their uniforms, I've made some changes here which I think are for the better. (But really, anything is better than their current ones, right?)
For both the home and away uniforms, I've kept a similar theme. The font used for the word face is supposed to invoke a "branding" feel (like cattle brands -- since they're up in Oklahoma and all). As always, any and all comments are welcome.

Those unis look pretty minimalistic, yet also pretty good! Nice job!

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
The only concern I have with the 2nd one is it reminds me a lot of the Knicks, and doesn't make them feel unique. The first one I like.?The Bulgarian Brothers - a story of two brothers (Oggy and Dinko) as they coach in the NCAA and the NBA.
?Ask me about the Xbox Ally handheld - I'm on the team that made it.Comment

Re: Second Coming: A SuperSonics Return
^It does look like the Knicks, don't it? Hmm. I could reverse the colors and make the primary uni Orange, and do the wording/numbers as Dark blue or White.Comment

All right, here's a dark blue with orange wording/numbering look. I think this one looks better. As always, any and all comments are welcome.
