Central Connecticut State vs. St. Francis (PA)
    February 12th, 2009 @ The DeGol Arena
    Northeast Conference Game

Freshman Center Chas Daley managed another double-double as St. Francis (PA) easily defeated Central Connecticut State tonight, 83-59.

This game was never close as St. Francis (PA) used suffocating defense to completely shut down the Blue Devils, as they only shot 37% from the field, including 20% from three. The Red Flash also held a 45-35 advantage in rebounds tonight.

Chas Daley scored a game-high 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Matthew Green was the only other Red Flash player in double-digits, as he scored 15 points.

Russ Ziri and Christopher Ramsey each scored 12 points to lead the Blue Devils in scoring. Fellow Freshman Center Troy Largent managed to have a double-double, as he scored 11 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He also blocked two shots.

St. Francis (19-5, 13-1) travels up to New York to take on Wagner (14-11, 8-6) on Valentines Day.

This marks the 8th game in a row that Chas Daley had a double-double. This also marks the 9th game in a row that St. Franics (PA) has won.

      St. Francis (PA) vs. Wagner
February 14th, 2009 @ The Spiro Sports Center
      Northeast Conference Game

St. Francis (PA) used a last minute 8-0 run to escape New York with a win tonight over Wagner University, 75-66.

St. Francis (PA) dominated the first half and at one point, was leading by more than 20 points. However, the Seahawks battled back with a 10-0 run to end the half to cut the lead down to 12 points, 44-32.

The Red Flash started off the second half ice cold, as they couldn't buy a shot. Thankfully for St. Francis, Wagner was equally as cold, as both teams went multiple minutes without scoring. As both teams started to heat up, Wagner proceeded to go on a 12-0 run to cut the lead down to 2 points with 2 minutes remaining in the game. After a Red Flash timeout, Chas Daley went to work as he went on his own 6-0 to push the lead back out to 8 points. Fortunately for the Red Flash, that was as close as Wagner would get as St. Francis made their free throws and escaped with a win.

St. Francis was led by Chas Daley, as he scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Matthew Green was the only other Red Flash in double-digits, as he chipped in 14 points.

Sophomore Forward Lionel Ndoye came off the bench and scored a team-high 12 points to lead the Seahawks. Philip Marsh scored 11 points. Tobias Guzman was one basket short of a double-double, as he scored 8 points and had a game-high 10 assists.

St. Francis (20-5, 14-1) will travel to take on the second place Sacred Heart Pioneers (15-10, 9-5) on February 19th.
