Thanks! I am excited to see how this all plays out. I see you have a Pittsburgh avatar, I hope I'm doing justice to the city and area. I've only been there once, but as I worked out this backstory, Pittsburgh was the sister city of Sofia, and St Francis was one of the schools available in a closed dynasty, so it all worked out pretty well

Very interesting move for Miami. Butler, Blake, and Bam -- Killer B's?

I kind of like it. I'll be interested in seeing how it plays out. Hopefully Blake can stay healthy for them.

Ha, it probably won't be nearly as successful as Miami's previous Killer B's https://247sports.com/nfl/miami-dolp...ees--74988343/

On paper, Blake at age 30 fits in well with Spoelstra's grit n grind system and he's more talented than Crowder...but he hasn't always been a great teammate.

No surprise that Zion won, though I am surprised Derrick Jones Jr. finished last -- dude has major hops in game.

Derrick Jones Jr copied someone else's dunk and was heavily penalized for that. I thought Miles may have had it, but I think getting a 37 or something for his first dunk killed him. Zion didn't have the best dunks of the night, but was the most consistent.

                    2019-2020 NBA All-Star Weekend – All-Star Game

Team Giannis was man-handled by Team LeBron for the 2nd straight year. Once again, Giannis’ team was full of length, but may have been a bit short on wing play and the skill of team LeBron. For example, having Nikola Vucevic guarding LeBron was probably not the best idea.

February 14, 2020 St. Francis at St. Francis (NYC) [NEC]

NBA All-Star Weekend was happening elsewhere, but it looked nothing like what was happening in Western Pennsylvania. On a losing streak after falling to Fairleigh Dickinson 64-60, the Red Flash were 5-7 in the conference and falling down the standings.

Dinko rounded up his boys and gave them a challenge: finish the season with a winning conference record. Let’s do things right, and that starts by destroying “fake Francis” – St. Francis of New York, the Terriers. With a few injuries and very little height to be found for “fake francis”, the Red Flash should be able to control this game, even on the road.

And control they did. It took 3 or 4 minutes for it to become clear that they would, but Noah Almond decided that this game was his and was a maestro; he was passing all over and picked his opponent’s pockets several times. His leadership helped the Red Flash to a 25-16 lead and allowed them to go into halftime with a 34-24 advantage.

Almond had 8 assists and 2 steals at half, while Casey Tyler and Zygis Keita combined for 29 points. The Terriers were playing a zone defense that left Tyler wide open on the wings, but they were right to be concerned about their lack of size.

The stifling defense continued in the 2nd half, as it started with a 7-0 run before the Terriers woke up and started playing pesky defense, dropping the game to single digits. That’s when Dinko called a timeout and reminded his team to “feed the beast.” The rest of the game, the Red Flash ran their offense through Zygis Keita, as the big man finished with 35 points, 22 of them in the 2nd half. The Red Flash won easily over “fake Francis”, 69-52.

Despite the points from Keita and Tyler, Almond was really the star of this game, showing his leadership and all-around game as he captained the Red Flash to victory. 1 conference victory down, 5 to go.

                        Around the NCAA
UNC beat Weber State 78-70, with Andres Swanson providing a monster 26 and 13 double-double. This puts the Bears at 7-5 and 4th in the conference before they get a week off.

What a win over "fake Francis" love it when the big man scores a bunch -- it's always so demoralizing for the opposition when you can hammer them inside and stop them on the other end.

Top NBA Draft Prospects - 2020 NBA Draft

As we’ve passed the NBA All-Star break and trade deadline, some teams are clearly out of the playoff picture and are looking to the future. It’s still early in the season, but we are starting to get an idea of who the likely lottery picks are and the top players at each position.

Right now it’s looking like there’s a clear top two prospects with Ernesto Parkinson and Trevor Merchant, but teams may be lured away by the size of Juan King or Jarek Kickert. Currently, the top 5 picks belong to:
                              1. Chicago Bulls
                              2. New York Knicks
                              3. Sacramento Kings
                              4. Detroit Pistons
                              5. Atlanta Hawks

Things may change as we get to March and beyond, but here are the top 5 prospects at each position as it stands today.

Whoa, this Jarek Kickert kid is INSANELY good. 27 a night, 8 boards, and 6'9"? Sign me up, please. The PF class looks really good, I like the Roberson kid as well out of Rider -- those numbers are really great, I will not complain about either.
