Like Westley in the Princess Bride, you've built up an immunity to rat poison this season it seems. 20-1 is a pretty good place to be when it comes to positioning yourself for the tournament.

Tovarich: After 31 days away, I almost couldn't remember where I even lived or how to get to the arena. It was almost strange to see our court after so long. We still sold the game out. I wasn't sure if our fans remembered we existed either.

Reporter: Why shoot so many 3's in a lopsided win?

Tovarich: I'd like them to shoot out of their funk. We had a decent first half, I think 4-9. We didn't follow it up after halftime.

Reporter: How about Dillard shooting 3 of them?

Tovarich: I just wanted to see if he could. He's 2/18 now, so I'm officially giving up on that. He's either going to have to improve that a lot of maybe a backup PG is an option for him if I can't recruit another, or maybe I can RS one.

Reporter: Were you encouraged by the rebounding?

Tovarich: Eventually. The irony of being +9 on the boards is that they got 5 of their first 6 misses back. I'm not sure what changed. We had their bigs in foul trouble for most of the game, but we've done that dozens of times and managed not to reap any benefit from it.

Reporter: Is it a big deal for the program to be ranked in the top 10 for the first time?

Tovarich: The media pollsters are awfully generous to reward us for a gaudy record. The coaches just moved us into the top 25 finally for the first time. They're probably being more realistic.

Tovarich: I'd be embarrassed to lose a game where I shot 12/19 on 3's and won the rebounding battle. You should probably shoot a 3 on every possession like that. We were in their face. It didn't matter what we did though. So, that said, we won somehow. It wasn't pretty, but it doesn't have to be.

Reporter: Is taking over #1 in the RPI significant?

Tovarich: We were 2 before. Somehow I don't think it makes much of a difference. I think we found the right schedule this year with more solid mids and majors with good records and fewer power schools with few wins.

Reporter: Do you feel the 3-point shooters came out of their slump a little today?

Tovarich: That was definitely better. We were no Fresno State from out there, but we were solid enough for once.

Reporter: Is there a danger of looking past Loyola Marymount ahead to the Oregon game?

Tovarich: I don't think so. We're just happy to be home for a little while right now before we had back on another tour of the country for 3 weeks or whatever it is.

Tovarich: I feared we might get run out of the gym there coming out of halftime. It wasn't anything I hadn't seen before, but when you get stuffed on your first shot, then they get a 3, then you get stuffed again, and they hit a 3 again, then get a steal and a breakaway layup and it's 8-0 in barely a minute and your 18 point lead goes all the way down to 2 within 4 1/2 minutes, it isn't encouraging. Then I don't know what changed. After their 22-6 run to start the second half, I think we went on a 22-2 run. Then suddenly they couldn't miss that last 2 minutes but it was over by then. I'm always leery of it when we go into halftime with a big lead, but 7/8, 4 of which were 3's while we start 1/10 feels a little overboard.

Reporter: Why don't you call a timeout when the other team is on a big run like that?

Tovarich: I typically find it doesn't change much. I can give all the instructions I would in a huddle out loud. I subbed in the bench for a couple minutes there. That didn't do much either. Their assault kept going. Then they just snapped out of it all of a sudden and we did the opposite. There were some wild runs in that game.

Reporter: Do you feel the outside shooting didn't carry over from the last game?

Tovarich: We were ok in the first half, 3/7 I think. After missing the first 4 after halftime, I just abandoned the 3's. It seemed obvious they weren't allowed.

Reporter: Where does this game @ Oregon rank in the history of the program?

Tovarich: It's as important a regular season game as we've had, but regular season college basketball isn't exactly critical for us right now. Barring some mass injuries, the likes of which we've never experienced, we're heading to the tournament and even though Oregon's probably a little disappointed in their season, they are too and ultimately these don't really get remembered unless someone runs up the score or someone gets injured.

I think Oggy might be able to defeat this parallel universe LMU team.

Do you think you can get a 2 seed? Or more in 4-6 range?
