Kerney's health was low, but I don't see anything he got hurt and missed time on your games before you traded him. Just wondering why the trade since he's one of your team's best players on D.

LE Patrick Kerney-out since being traded to the 49ers-no games played. His Durability has dropped to 69%, 2nd lowest at LE. Anytime durability gets in the 65-75 range you have to think seriously about cutting a player loose.

      38% overall health:

      66% head
      1% torso
      36% right arm
      18% left arm
      45% right leg
      38% left leg

He was a good player, but you have to factor in what you expect him to do for the team with a 38% overall health rating going forward. He might recover a bit over the offseason, but with health ratings like that retirement is going to look like a attractive option. If he doesn't retire, I can't see him playing enough games to be a factor on the 49ers.

        2008 Season-Game 9-Seahawks 6, Dolphins 3

We got a much needed win, and our defense took a step forward. That's the important thing to take from this game. Still, if our passing game can't do better it's going to be a long season. Also, Bironas missed 2 key FG and I might need to look at using Serna in future. Next game will be against the division leading Rams.

          2008 Season-Game 10-Seahawks 37, Cardinals 10

No doubt our biggest win of the season. Knight had 4 sacks, Kenny Phillips returned an INT for a TD, and Woodson had 2 TD passes. The win gave us a one game lead over our division rivals.

            2008 Season-Game 11-Seahawks 30, Redskins 17

We definitely looked to have turned the corner, at least for the time being. We made a strong 1st quarter be enough to sustain us in a win over the Redskins, although they did play much better as the game went along.

              2008 Season-Game 12-Cowboys 31, Seahawks 10

The Cowboys simply outmatched us this game overall. Not much offense, and we couldn't stop their passing attack. The high point for us was Kevin Phillips INT TD, but it was not enough to emerge with the win.

NFL note-RE Chris Long had his 15th sack with the Chiefs.

              Re-signing-C Torrin Fisher-78/91- signed a 6 year, 4.3 million deal with a 500K signing bonus.

              CU-DC-Phys Dev DL 4.

The 49ers are coming back a little, and a loss to the Patriots by us will have us tied at a 7-6 record. It'll all come down to the last 3 games.

                2008 Season-Game 13-Patriots 28, Seahawks 20

First-update on Patrick Kearney-the player I traded at the deadline. He has 7 sacks and is going to the Pro Bowl. He's got to be one factor on why the 49ers have gotten back in the NFC West race, even if they lost this week in a close game to the Dolphins. I'd still do the trade, because 2 first round picks will always help in the English path, but I might regret those words if the 49ers end up winning the division.

Now the game-it was very close all game. Our QBs couldn't come up with enough key passes and came up just short in regulation. Serna missed a FG of 50+ late that might have been critical, but Johnson removed all doubt by throwing a INT TD in the last play of the game.

INJ-DT Brandon Mebane-torn PCL-out for season. Signed DT Dan Klecko as replacement.

                  2008 Season-Game 14- Seahawks 38, Rams 21

I actually ended up playing this game twice. I was losing 31-28 at the two minute warning when the game froze, so I had to play it again. This time around I got off to the 31-0 lead, and with the Ram turnovers that was enough for the win.

                  Player of the Week:

HB Ray Rice-28-89, 3 rush Tds, 2-26 rec yds.

CB Marcus Trufant-5 tackles, 2 INTs, 1 INT TD.

                  INJ:

                  FB Carl Stewart-torn triceps-out for season-IR.

                  FS Brian Russell-broken arm-3-5 weeks.

                  Coach upgrades:

                  HC-Phys Dev TE2, LB2, WRC-Lrn Dev TE 3, LBC-Phys Dev LB3.

                    2008 Season-Game 15-Jets 30, Seahawks 25

I'll admit this was a hard one to lose, and with 4 Defining Moments it hurt my coach approval as well.We were with the Jets all the way, but neither of my QBs could get enough pass TDs to get in a position to win. There were also some other issues-2 missed FGs by Serna-5 penalties, and lacking a challenge on a play that could have been reversed.

                      2008 Season-Game 16- Seahawks 33, Cardinals 13

Finishing with a win against the Cardinals was enough at 9-7 for both a division title and a wild card spot against the Vikings. We should have Hasselbeck back for that game, but he is just coming off a major injury so we'll see how he does. The Cardinals had a good pass rush, but Warner simply didn't have it today.

                            2008 Seattle Seahawks Stats

A couple notes on the stats that don't show up in the table. The solo and ast tackle columns contain the forced fumble and fumble recovery stats. I just felt it was a better use for the columns.

All Serna's misses were from 50+ attempts. Likewise, most of my key receivers had over 10 drops-it was a real problem on the season. Here's the table with the rest of the team stats.

                                2008 Wild Card Game-Seahawks 38, Vikings 24

I got a bit worried when the Vikings got off to the quick 17-0 lead early, but we stayed with them and it was tied by halftime. The injury to Vikings RB Chester Taylor seemed to be a big momentum swing. The Vikings had a deadly running game while he was in, but it seemed a lot less capable once he got injured. We did well the rest of the game and won our first playoff game. The divisional game will be against the Giants-lucky us.

I'll list overall with coach and team for coach hirings and movement.

                                CU-HC-Team Chem 2, DC-Game Film Analysis, STC-Kick Power training.

                                Other wildcard games:
