    2010 Season-Game 7-Seahawks 57, Cardinals 17

The rematch with the Cardinals was a bit more competitive in the 1st half as they forced us into FG situations and their pass defense was a bit better. We shut them down in the second half, however and had another comfortable win against the Cardinals. Bomani had another INT TD, but it was called back for pass interference.

NFL note-Broncos cut WR Dexter Jackson and he currently sits in FA with a 76 overall.

      2010 Season-Game 8-Seahawks 59, Falcons 31

Our one major concern as we hit the midpoint of the 2010 season has to be our defense, and it was exposed in the game with the Falcons. Good teams can score on us, and if they have a good defense like the Packers did, we can be beaten. Improving our defense has to be our top priority if we want to make it to the Super Bowl for the first time.

        2010 Mid-Season League Leaders

Yes, Seattle is well represented. The big news for me is that I initially had 2 offensive linemen be named to the Pro Bowl-Lankford and Boma.

          2010 Season-Game 9- Seahawks 70, Rams 0

I'm at a loss to explain the 4th quarter meltdown by the Rams. They played reasonably good defense the first 3 quarters and have done so earlier in the season. Their starting QB was out and Wright is not a credible QB, so their lack of scoring is not a big a surprise. The one play I'll remember is Campbell scooping up the ball after a sack/fumble and taking it to the house.

          OPOW-QB Dane Morrow-25-34-433-6 pass TDs.

DPOW-LE Calais Campbell-4 tackles, 2 sacks, FF, FR TD.

          Gamechanger-Miraculous Recovery

Julian Peterson instantly recovered from his injury due to a holistic healer. No points for the trainer for this one.

            2010 Season-Game 10-Seahawks 52, Giants 17

Another game where the other team played well at the start, but then had a lapse at the end of the game. The Giants defense is as good as it ever was, but their offense today got hurt by their mistakes.

            DPOW-SS Kenny Phillips-5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT TD.

            Team milestones:

Morrow 4000 yards passing, Knox 15th sack.

            CU-HC-Int Dev QB 4, OC-Gameplan Analysis, LBC-Hard Hit Training, DBC-Improved Press, GM-Potential Intuition.

I suppose the advanced GM specials don't bother me like they once did.

              2010 Season-Game 11- Seahawks 63, Chargers 6

Chargers added some real talent this past year with Riko Kemp and Darius Pryor, but it might be a few years before they're able to challenge the Chiefs for the division.

                2010 Season-Game 12-Seahawks 42, Saints 17

A very good game by New Orleans in limiting our team to just above 40 points. A few years ago, Brees might have thrown for over 400 yards and won the game. Now, his short passes are caught by Bush and go out of bounds 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage.

NFL note-HB Joseph Addai will not re-sign with Colts.

                  2010 Season-Game 13- Seahawks 61, Raiders 17

Two things I'll remember about this game-the Raiders dreadful offensive line, and their awesome secondary. Also, the Raiders offense seemed awful futile for a Michigan Spread team, but I think their starting QB was out. A bit too many turnovers for my liking, though.

                  Knox-becoming a defensive force equal to Campbell-will get re-signed.

An interesting note-I stole the play Hammer Toss, but it never showed up in my playbook. I'm thinking you can't steal signature plays as a result.

                    2010 Season-Game 14-Seahawks 37, Chiefs 5

Overall a fairly good team. They have good blocking, they don't make mistakes, and their defense is fairly good. We had some initial success in the 1st quarter, but it got fairly hard to score after that. Their offense did seem a bit limited, and that really was the problem the Chiefs had in this game.

Hammer Toss got renamed in my playbook as a generic HB Toss-I knew because it was a unlearned play.

                    NFL notes:

QB Tom Brady-40,000 career passing yds.

WR Bobby Engram-10,000 career receiving yards.

                      2010 Season-Game 15- Seahawks 56, Rams 7

I actually did a sim last night, and I lost to the NFC North again! This time, to the Vikings. Here's hoping it doesn't go that way for real.

The Rams have actually made some improvements in gameplay, that I've noticed around the league in general. It's getting harder for the most part to pass rush and run the ball. I got my 100 yards this game off draws-usually in 2nd and 10 situations for 7-10 yards apiece.Only 2 sacks vs. their offensive line as well.

                      OPOW-QB Dane Morrow-22-33-321-4 pass TDs, 1-21 rush.

DPOW-CB Marcus Trufant-3 tackles, INT TD.

                        2010 Season-Game 16-Seahawks 31, 49ers 12

It almost seemed like a different 49ers squad then the one we played earlier in the year-this one could play defense. The two INTs by Alex Smith turned out to be critical in the game.

I suspect certain of the position based special skills actually improve development rather than improve gameplay. This will require making some adjustments on my earlier house rule about limiting position based special skills for HC and coordinators. The gameplay specials are mixed in with the development specials, so separating the two may take some doing. I'll need to think further on that house rule.

                        CU-DPOW-LE Calais Campbell-9 tackles, FF, 2 FR, 4 sacks.
