        2011 Divisional Game-Seahawks 73, Rams 7

The Rams are like a lot of playoff teams-they're good enough to make the playoffs, but don't expect them to do a lot once they get there. Both NFC East teams got knocked out early, so if we make it by the Bucs we'll be headed to another Super Bowl. Playoff results first, then any coaching changes.

          2011 Season-NFC Conference Game-Seahawks 31, Bucs 7

It was just a well played game on both sides. We got off to the fast start, and then used that lead to beat the Bucs the rest of the game.

            2011-12 Season-Super Bowl-Seahawks 41, Titans 13

Teams like the Titans beat you by allowing less points than they score. That strategy worked for the first 3 quarters, as I had only a 1 TD lead in the early 4th quarter. A couple of exciting play made the difference here-a 103 yd kickoff return TD by Bellows, and a 48 yd TD run by Jamelle Lucas on a option play.

The one hard decision I have after winning my second straight Super Bowl-what to do about OC. Clyde Christiansen will quit if I don't promote him, leaving me with no skilled coaches to promote in Caldwell's place next year if I don't make a change this year. I'm inclined to just promote Cobble if I do have to make a change this year, as I think he'll be the better choice in the long run and just let Christiansen move on. I'll have to think about it a bit though.

              My Coaching Changes:

I sort of split the difference as far as my coaching changes. I let go all the position coaches I said I would-Johnson, Rathman, and Spangler. Cobble got promoted upstairs at least for 1 year. All their replacements are replaceable-all Performance 1 or 2-retreads at best. I did keep the DC the same.

Christiansen and Caldwell are a weird case.I'll suppose their egos wouldn't allow keeping them both around. Christiansen would stay if I let go of Caldwell, otherwise he would leave. I promoted Cobble because I wanted to keep Christiansen as my WRC one more year, and maybe get Cobble a bit of experience as a coordinator. This way I keep the possibility open of promoting Clyde next year, and Cobble as the one good OLC I'll need for the next year.

                2012 Offseason Period

Player retirements and franchise tags. I've added RFAs to the FA Period so as to figure out what bids to give everyone. Retirements will have age, overall, and career stats if any. I suspect career stats are only calculated from 2008 for some players.

                Player retirements:

                        Tevin Brew 50 downs
                        Marcus Wayns 50 downs

Newman is pretty good, but I can't imagine carrying a veteran like him with some pretty good corners on our team. I will give him the 50 down goal, however.

                            2012 Depth Chart

A little late but here's my 2012 depth chart. I briefly had a look at HC with HDMI before my PS3 went down last week. I've ordered another that should be here next week. Players include overalls and potentials.

I've got the new PS3 with backwards compatability but I've run into at least one problem with HC. There's no sound when I start up the game. That will delay the franchise at least a bit, until I figure out how to put sound in the game.

                              2012 Season-Game 1-Seahawks 101, Rams 10

Update schedule for time being is I will aim for every 2 weeks, but on occasion it might be once every month.

I'd like to say the Rams weren't really this bad, except they actually were. 8 turnovers and more returns yards than offense do not a good team make. Letting go some of our skilled coaches seems to have improved our team, not the reverse.

                              OPOW-QB Dane Morrow-25-39-552-8 pass TDs.

                                2012 Season-Game 2-Seahawks 59, Bucs 27

The yardage was very close, and the Bucs held the time of possession advantage. We had a significant advantage in TDs however, and that was the difference in the game. Kelly James is turning out to be quite the QB, almost as good as Morrow. I have no doubt these two teams will face each other again in the playoffs.
