    Final Coaching Changes/Rest of Playoffs

Ok as promised this is how the remainder of the playoffs went and the coaching changes that were made. I decided not to edit because the previous post was long enough. 2010 English Draft-Round 1

Trades in the first round first, then the table showing all the players drafted in the first round. There might be some errors in the names or Ht'/Wt., my writing was a little hard to read. I was a little surprised Lankford fell as far as 12, but most teams are already pretty set at left tackle. Jones should be retiring soon, so you have to plan with that in mind.

          Trades:

1-12-C Torrin Fisher and 1-28 to Ravens for this pick to the Seahawks.

          1-14-Cowboys pick to Bills for 1-20, 7-212, and 2011 2nd.

          1-20-Cowboys pick to Lions for 1-31, 4-102, and 2011 3rd.

          1-32-Patriots to Cowboys for 2011 1st, 2011 4th, and 2011 7th.

            2010 Draft-Rest of Draft

Ok, here are the rest of my picks for that draft. I traded up more than I normally do, but hopefully my starting roster is set after this. There will be a bit of a position battle between Jones/Lankman and Peterson/Bomani, but competition is good for everyone. Trades first, then the table.

2-38-Lions to Seahawks for 2-46, 2011 6th, and WR Brice Turner.

            2-55-Ravens to Seahawks for 2-59, 7-220, and 2011 5th.

            3-67-Bears to Seahawks for 5-156 and 2011 2nd.

            3-70-Steelers to Seahawks for 3-92 and 2011 3rd.

                2010 Preseason

I may look to do a breakdown on how the 2008 draft class is doing-at least the first round-2 years in-with my next post. I'll need to look up my 2008 draft post and then check on their career since then.I'll continue it on a annual basis for the other draft classes as well.

We went 4-0 in preseason. I got an offer for Schuening with the Chargers 2nd round pick, but then they cut him and he now seems to have vanished from team rosters and FA. He might show up for the 2011 FA period-he's a 85 rated center right now.

2010 Team roster and Cap Information

Cap information first, then the Team Roster. Overall and potential next to player name.

Left tackle-I'll make sure Selvin gets sufficient playing time to take over when Jones retires. It's something you usually see either at the end of the 2010 or 2011 season. Walter is a team captain, so I might go with an equal playing time situation.

Right outside line backer-Peterson looks to have lost a step and Bomani's the starter. He may not like it, and if necessary I may have to trade Peterson. Otherwise, I'm liable to keep both Peterson and Jones on roster until their contracts expire or they retire.

                      2010 Season-Game 1-Seahawks 62, Panthers 21

We just did real well against the Panthers defense-if they had one. I don't recall a lot of times when a Panthers DB was close to one of my receivers. They were starting with a new HC, so you have to factor that into their play.

                        2010 Season-Game 2-Seahawks 38, Packers 35 (OT)

I simply don't want to play the Packers anymore-let someone else lead the NFC North(sighs). Ryan Grant went off like he can, they played good pass defense again, and a bit of luck was on their side-just not enough.

The last play in regulation was a bit ridiculous though-Trufant intercepted the ball in a leap, fumbled the ball when he came down, and the Packer player returned the fumble for a TD. I expect Coach Smith will tell him next time, knock it away.

I'm a bit puzzled by the lack of run defense-I'll reassess the sliders but I do have a new LBC. I suppose sometimes it just happens.

DPOW-CB Juran Riley-7 tackles, INT TD.

                          2010 Season-Game 3-Seahawks 38, Broncos 23

Not saying there's a direct connection, but the 49ers are now 4-0 after signing Brandon Marshall in the offseason, and the Broncos are 0-3. It's just something to think about.

Very close all game and we only had a bit of separation at the end. I'd say the difference was more often than not we forced them into FGs, and we managed to come away with touchdowns in Red Zone situations.

We have to remain perfect because two other teams in our division have had strong starts as well. Both SF and St. Louis have yet to lose a game.

As far as sliders I'm using now, it's Ebongreen's set with a couple of changes. I feel you need Defense Aware at 50 for good CPU pass defense, even if it does mean linebackers take out the HB too often. INT at 40 because default is too high. Break Block at 50 rather than 45 because I don't know enough about the slider to do else than leave it at default. Finally, the kicking ones at 90.

The Cardinals-not a lot to say other than they're not real good.

                            OPOW-QB Dane Morrow-28-37-462 yds-6 pass TDs.

                            DPOW-LOLB Dexter Knox-8 tackles, 1 sack, 1 INT.

                              2010 Season-Game 5- Seahawks 59, 49ers 17

I was a bit disappointed in this game actually. I thought the 49ers were ready to challenge us for the division lead, but this game proves that might have to wait until next year. Brandon Marshall had one long TD catch near the start of the game, but that as pretty much it for his game today. My old DE Patrick Kearney got two sacks at the expense of my RT John Juckett. It won't show up in the boxscore, but Bomani forced 2 fumbles in the game.

                              OPOW-QB Dane Morrow-22-32-359-5 pass TDs.

DPOW-LOLB Dexter Knox-8 tackles, 2 sacks, FF, INT.

                              Trade:

Seahawks trade RT Ted Grady to Bills for 2011 3rd, failed goal. He was going to cost minimum 3.5 million a year to re-sign, and that was too rich for my blood as a backup.

                              Contract re-signings:

Seahawks re-sign LE Calais Campbell to 4 years, 24.4 million dollar deal, 4 million signing bonus-better late than never.

                                2010 Season-Game 6-Seahawks 48, Bucs 28

If the Bucs had played as well in the 1st half as they did in the last 16 minutes, we might have been in trouble. That or shut down our offense in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for them they did neither, and their comeback attempt fell a little short.
