    Army's Late Comeback Falls Short, 58-55

    First Half

    Jacobson nails a couple of 3pters then after Walcott and Lucas sink jumpers, Freedman buries a 3pter to give Holy Cross the lead, 7-6, with less than 15:00 remaining. van de Laar makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Bey cans a couple of free throws, Lucas banks in a layup. After Jacobson hits a 3pter, Lewis puts in a layup on a fast break to pull the Crusaders to within one, 12-11, halfway through the first half. Wyatt drops in a layup to give Holy Cross the lead then after Alloway makes two free throws, Samuels and Lewis both bank in layups on fast breaks. Viegas sinks a short turnaround jumper then Samuels drains 1 of 2 free throws to give the Crusaders a six point lead, 20-14, with less than 5:00 left. Lewis makes two free throws and after Norwood sinks a hook, Ford and Smallwood bury jumpers. With a few seconds to go, Lucas cans a hook to give Holy Cross a 12-point lead at the half. Army's Jacobson leads all scorers with 9 points and both Lewis and Lucas lead Holy Cross with 6 points each.

    Second Half
    Lucas sinks a jumper and a layup then after Freedman buries a jumper, Jacobson and van de Laar hit 3pters. Jacobson nails another 3pter then Lucas makes a pair of free throws to give Holy Cross an 11-point lead, 36-25, with 15:00 remaining. Bey tips in a rebound and after Freedman buries a turnaround jumper, Goodman and Ford trade layups. After Walcott makes 1 of 2 free throws and Samuels tips in the missed free throw, Wyatt puts in a couple of layups on fast breaks then Jacobson banks in a jumper to pull Army to within 16, 47-31, midway through the second half. Bird drops in a layup and Jacobson buries a 3pter then Freedman converts a 3-point play. Bird drills a jumper from inside the lane then after Freedman and Bird trade layups, Bird hits a 3pter to pull the Black Knights to within nine, 52-43, with less than 5:00 left. van de Laar and Walcott trade layups and after Norwood knocks down a jumper, van de Laar puts in a layup. van de Laar and Ford trade making 1 of 2 free throws then van de Laar drops in a layup and Army begins fouling. Samuels misses the front end of a 1-and-1 but Ford tips in the rebound with 40.1 seconds to go. The Black Knights bring the ball upcourt and Jacobson buries a 3pter to pull Army to within a basket with 8.2 seconds to play. Walcott makes 1 of 2 free throws then Goodman misses a jumper at the buzzer to end the game.

            Viegas makes two free throws and after Irvin and Jacobson trade jumpers, Nevill cans 1 of 2 free throws. Bey banks in a layup then Carroto tips in a rebound to pull Bucknell to within one, 6-5, with under 15:00 remaining. Carroto drains two free throws to give the Bison the lead. Viegas tips in a rebound to give Army back the lead then he slams in a dunk on a fast break. Carroto sinks a jumper and after Goodman hits a runner and is fouled, Goodman misses the free throw and Viegas tips in the rebound. Hazel makes 1 of 2 free throws and later does it again to pull Bucknell to within three, 14-11, halfway through the first half. Akingbala tips in a rebound and Munir cans 1 of 2 free throws to pull American to within three, 11-8, halfway through the first half. Hardaway and Jacobson trade jumpers and after Goodman puts in a layup on a fast break, Gruber nails a short turnaround jumper from the left block.                         Thanks. It must have taken you about a week to get through all of the pages.

                        It's taken four grueling seasons to get this team built. The team has a chemistry (that's team unity for all you next gen's) of 85% and now the fans and students are fighting to get in (attendance is now 83% capacity).

                        If we can win the rest of the home games, which will probably also include 1 to 3 more if we win the regular season title, Army can win over 20 games this season.

                                First Half

                                Jacobson banks in a jumper and van de Laar makes 1 of 2 free throws then Reaser hits a 3pter and Montague sinks a short jumper to give Navy the early lead. Jacobson buries a 3pter and after he banks in a couple of layups on fast breaks, Reaser cans two free throws. van de Laar lays in a rebound to give Army a 12-7 lead with less than 15:00 remaining. English hits a 3pter and Kragel tips in a rebound to tie the game then after Jacobson and Montague trade layups, Viegas tips in a rebound to give the Black Knights the lead. Reaser nails a short turnaround jumper and Briggs drills a 3pter to give the Midshipmen a three point lead, 19-16, halfway through the opening period. Montague makes a pair of free throws then after van de Laar knocks down a 3pter, Jacobson and Osborn trade jumpers. Viegas dunks in a rebound and after Osborn puts in a layup, Viegas slams in a dunk on a fast break to tie the game, 25-25, with under 5:00 left. Jacobson and Goodman drop in layups then after Cruz sinks a jumper, Palmer banks in a layup. Viegas tips in a rebound then Montague makes two free throws. Reaser drains a hook then Jacobson nails a jumper to tie the game at the half. Army's Jacobson leads all scorers with 17 points and Reaser leads Navy with 9.

                                Viegas makes 1 of 2 free throws then after van de Laar lays in a rebound, van de Laar cans 1 of 2 free throws. Jacobson and van de Laar put in layups on fast breaks and after Palmer sinks a turnaround jumper, Jacobson hits a 3pter. Montague and Jacobson trade jumpers then van de Laar drops in a layup on a fast break to give Army an 11-point lead, 48-37, with under 15:00 remaining. Viegas puts in a layup and after Palmer buries a turnaround jumper, Jacobson and Kragel trade 3pters. Jacobson drills another 3pter and Goodman makes two free throws then van de Laar banks in a layup on a fast break and Viegas cans two free throws to give the Black Knights a 20-point lead, 62-42, midway through the second half. Montague and Goodman trade layups then Montague lays in a rebound and Palmer drains a runner. Cruz and Briggs put in layups on fast breaks then Bird makes a pair of free throws to give Army a 14-point lead, 66-52, with 5:00 left. Osborn makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Bird cans 1 of 2 free throws, Viegas tips in a rebound. Briggs drains two free throws then Jacobson hits a 3pter and after Granger and Palmer sink jumpers, Jacobson drills another 3pter.
