          Army Spoils Ex-Coach's Homecoming In Double OT, 77-75

          First Half

          Causey puts in a layup on a fast break and after Bey tips in a rebound, George and Becker trade jumpers. Causey banks in a layup on a fast break then after Causey and George trade making 1 of 2 free throws, Boone sinks a short jumper to give Old Dominion a 9-5 lead with just under 15:00 remaining. van de Laar hits a 3pter and after Becker buries a hook, Bey drills a 3pter to tie the game. Lett swishes a runner and Boone banks in a layup on a fast break then Bey tips in a rebound to pull Army to within a bucket, 15-13, halfway through the first half. Viegas sinks a couple of hooks to give the Black Knights the lead and Bey drains a short jumper then after Jacobson nails a 3pter, Jacobson makes two free throws as Army is on a 15-0 run and lead by 11, 26-15, with 5:00 left. D!ckey hits a 3pter and after Anderer converts a 3-point play and Begley makes two free throws, Paulding lays in a rebound to pull the Monarchs to within 11 at the half. Army's Bey leads all scorers with 9 points and Causey leads Old Dominion with 5.

          Second Half
          Asseo puts in a layup and after George tips in a rebound, van de Laar sinks a short turnaround jumper. Jacobson makes two free throws then Bey tips in a rebound and lays in another rebound to give Army a 19-point lead, 41-22, with just over 15:00 remaining. Becker sinks a turnaround jumper and after van de Laar banks in a layup on a fast break, Lett banks in a runner and three jumpers. Lett drops in a layup on a fast break then after van de Laar and Causey trade 3pters, Lett banks in a jumper to pull Old Dominion to within six, 46-40, midway through the second half. Causey makes 1 of 2 free throws and D!ckey nails a jumper then Viegas drains 1 of 2 free throws and Bird puts in a layup on a fast break. Lett and George trade 3pters and after Bird banks in a short turnaround jumper, Causey drops in a 3pter and Lett converts a 3-point play to pull the Monarchs to within a basket, 54-52, with just under 5:00 left. Lett slams in a dunk on a fast break to tie the game and after van de Laar buries a 3pter, Lett jams in another dunk on a fast break. Viegas puts in a layup then after Lett sinks a jumper, van de Laar drills a 3pter. Boone lays in a rebound then George drains a jumper to put the Black Knights up by four with 40.8 seconds to go. Becker drops in a layup with 18.3 seconds to play and Old Dominion starts fouling. With 8.3 seconds on the clock, van de Laar misses the front end of the 1-and-1 then Becker nails a jumper at the buzzer to send the game into overtime tied at 64-64.

          Overtime
          Viegas banks in a layup and after Becker banks in a hook, Boone swishes a jumper. Becker sinks a short turnaround jumper then Jacobson makes two free throws. With 4.0 seconds remaining, Viegas nails a jumper to send the game into a second overtime tied at 70-70.

          Second Overtime
          van de Laar converts a 3-point play and after Bey makes two free throws, Boone banks in a layup on a fast break. van de Laar buries two clutch free throws then Lett drills a 3pter at the buzzer as ODU loses a heartbreaker.

                  That was a great game even though I ended up on the losing end. Maybe Coach Knight should throw a chair and start yelling at the players in order to get them to make more free throws.

                  Didn't it burn your fingers when you typed "Go Army" considering you were in the NAVY?

                      I was but I "graduated" to the mid-major level. I could have gone to the mid-major level after year two when Indiana State wanted me, but I wanted to stay at Army and continue in THE Coach Bob Knight's footsteps.

                            First Half

                            Causey puts in a layup then Brazzle hits a 3pter and after Lett banks in a jumper, Brazzle drills another 3pter to give Liberty a 6-4 lead with 15:00 remaining. Becker slams in a dunk on a fast break then after Maxwell sinks a jumper, Asseo banks in a layup to tie the game. Brazzle buries a 3pter then Asseo lays in a rebound to pull Old Dominion to within one, 11-10, halfway through the first half. Boone makes two free throws to give the Monarchs the lead then Lett drops in a layup on a fast break to give Old Dominion a three point lead, 14-11, with just under 5:00 left. Krywonis sinks a turnaround jumper and after Lett and Asseo put in layups, Maxwell and Asseo trade 3pters as the Monarchs take a five point lead into halftime. Asseo leads Old Dominion with 9 points and Brazzle has 9 points to lead Liberty.

                            Second Half
                            Maxwell nails a 3pter and after Lett puts in a layup on a fast break, Brazzle sinks a jumper. Causey buries a jumper and Lett hits a 3pter to give Old Dominion a seven point lead, 28-21, with under 15:00 remaining. Lett puts in a layup and after Boone buries a jumper, Causey and Boone drop in layups. Lett stuffs in a dunk on a fast break then after Brazzle makes 1 of 2 free throws, Asseo banks in a hook to give the Monarchs an 18-point lead, 40-22, midway through the second half. Brazzle puts in a layup and after Lett makes two free throws, Diggs sinks a jumper. Causey cans 1 of 2 free throws then Maxwell hits a 3pter and after Lett drains a pair of free throws, Krywonis drops in a layup on a fast break to pull Liberty to within 14, 45-31, with 5:00 left. Lett hits a 3pter then Maxwell makes two free throws and after Truscott tips in a rebound, Dodd drills a 3pter at the buzzer to end the game.

                                First Half

                                Maxiell puts in a layup then after Kerwin Warden and Lett trade jumpers, Butler drops in a layup. Causey buries a 3pter to pull Old Dominion to within one, 6-5, with 15:00 remaining. Becker sinks a turnaround jumper and after Olomo tips in a rebound, Butler puts in a layup on a fast break. Butler drains a short jumper then Becker makes two free throws to pull the Monarchs to within three, 12-9, halfway through the opening half. Boone and Butler trade jumpers then after Jett slams in a dunk on a fast break, Viegas nails a short turnaround jumper. Greer stuffs in a dunk on a fast break and swishes a jumper then after Grizzard drills a 3pter, Greer cans a hook to give Duke a seven point lead, 23-16, with just under 5:00 left. Becker puts in a layup and after Greer banks in a jumper, Greer slams in a dunk on a fast break. Gardner and Asseo trade two free throws then Causey banks in a layup on a fast break and Boone hits a turnaround jumper to pull Old Dominion to within five at the half.
