Wentt dunks in a rebound and after Boone buries a jumper, Lalugba nails a 3pter and Matera swishes a short jumper to give the Huskies an eight point lead, 16-8, halfway through the first half. First Half
Warden makes two free throws and after McKinney and Boone trade dunks, McKinney banks in a layup. Geason hits a 3pter then Asseo cans two free throws to pull Old Dominion to within one, 7-6, with just under 15:00 remaining. Callahan banks in a layup then Becker and Causey nail jumpers and after Geason drains two free throws, Paulding sinks a jumper to give the Monarchs the lead, 12-11, halfway through the opening period. Causey drills a 3pter and afater he puts in a couple of layups on fast breaks, Hairston makes 1 of 2 free throws. After Grizzard hits a 3pter, Old Dominion is up by ten, 22-12, with just over 5:00 left. Boone and Ebong sink jumpers then after Causey banks in a layup, Ebong drains a runner and Causey nails a jumper at the buzzer as the Monarchs end the half on a 13-0 run and take a 20-point lead into halftime. Old Dominion's Causey leads all scorers with 13 points and Geason leads Drexel with 5.

Second Half
Becker lays in a rebound and sinks a short turnaround jumper then after Warden makes the first of two free throws, he misses the second one and it is tipped in by Ray. Hairston hits a jumper and after Callahan banks in a layup, Ray tips in a rebound to give Old Dominion a 25-point lead, 41-16, with just over 15:00 remaining. Paulding tips in a rebound and Ray buries a jumper then after Gamboa banks in a layup, Ebong and Clark trade jumpers. Paulding banks in a jumper and after Clark and Ray trade 3pters, Grizzard makes 1 of 2 free throws to give the Monarchs a 30-point lead, 53-23, midway through the second half. Grizzard banks in a layup on a fast break and after Dickey makes 1 of 2 free throws, Rakiecki and Truscott trade jumpers. Geason converts a 3-point play then after Dickey drains two free throws and later 1 of 2 more free throws, Gamboa banks in a layup to pull Drexel to within 31, 61-30, with 5:00 left. Gamboa and Clark bank in layups then after Ebong banks in a couple of layups, Wooden nails a 3pter with one-half minute to go to finish the unexpected rout of the Dragons.
