After Lett makes two free throws, the Monarchs lead by 11, 22-11, halfway through the first half. Causey drops in a turnaround jumper and after Warsaw and Becker trade layups, Warsaw banks in another layup. Boone banks in a short jumper and Lett slams in a dunk on a fast break then after Warsaw tips in a rebound, Boone banks in a short jumper to give Old Dominion a 10-6 lead with just under 15:00 remaining. Causey sinks a jumper and after Warsaw makes two free throws, Warsaw buries a short turnaround jumper. Becker tips in a rebound then after Warsaw banks in a hook and Chatman puts in a layup on a fast break, Boone nails a 3pter. After Warsaw hits a short fallaway jumper, James Madison pulls to within one, 17-16, halfway through the first half. Chatman and Lamptey drain runners to give the Dukes the lead and after Causey nails a jumper, Hoyer tips in a rebound to give James Madison a three point lead, 22-19, with under 5:00 left.
