BTW, the first round of NCAA games have no connection geographically to the regional final sites any more. They changed this a couple of years ago to allow the good-drawing teams to play closer to home in the first week, regardless of which regional they were seeded in.Comment

First Half
Dudley hits a jumper and a 3pter then after Polk nails a hook, Coleman puts in a layup on a fast break. Polk banks in a short jumper from the right block then Asseo drops in a layup to give Old Dominion a 7-6 lead with under 15:00 remaining. Bowden and Dudley trade 3-point plays and after Kounkorgo banks in a hook, Dixon and Lennon trade layups. Grizzard nails a jumper then Ndiaye gets two quick layups off of turnovers to give the Monarchs a five point lead, 18-13, halfway through the first half. Dudley hits a 3pter and after Summers sinks a turnaround jumper, Asseo makes two free throws. Dancy puts in a layup on a fast break and after Summers drains a short turnaround jumper, Dancy and Dudley bury 3pters to give Old Dominion a 14-point lead, 31-17, with 5:00 left. Ndiaye sinks a jumper and after Polk and Paulding trade layups, Dudley slams in a dunk on a fast break. Lennon drills a jumper then Ndiaye banks in a layup and Asseo lays in a rebound to give the Monarchs a 20-point lead at halftime. Second Half
Ndiaye sinks a jumper and after Polk puts in a layup, Coleman banks in a pair of layups on fast breaks. Dudley drops in a layup on a fast break then Summers banks in a hook and Coleman makes 1 of 2 free throws to pull Wright State to within 15, 45-30, with 15:00 remaining. Ndiaye and Bowden trade jumpers then after Coleman and Asseo trade jumpers, Asseo nails a hook. Dickey stuffs in a dunk on a fast break then Lennon buries a 3pter to pull the Raiders to within 16, 53-37, midway through the second half. First Half
Axton makes 1 of 2 free throws and Adeife sinks a jumper then after Axton hits a 3pter, Wentt puts in a layup on a fast break. After Dudley cans two free throws, Old Dominion is down by six, 8-2, with under 15:00 remaining. Asseo drains a turnaround jumper then after Wentt nails a runner, Adeife buries a hook. Fraser makes two free throws then Dudley drills a 3pter to pull the Monarchs to within seven, 14-7, halfway through the opening half. Dudley puts in a layup then after Dickey converts a 3-point play and drops in a layup on a fast break, Asseo slams in a dunk on a fast break to give Old Dominion the lead. Fraser tips in a rebound and Axton puts in a layup on a fast break to give Howard the lead and after Dudley makes 1 of 2 free throws, Munoz sinks a short turnaround jumper to give the Bison a three point lead, 20-17, with under 5:00 left. Ebong slams in a dunk on a fast break and after Wheless hits a jumper, Ebong swishes a hook. Nubine nails a jumper then after Parkinson drops in a layup on a fast break, Adeife drains a hook to give Howard a three point lead at the half. Old Dominion's Dudley leads all scorers with 8 points. Second Half
Grizzard makes a pair of free throws and a jumper to give Old Dominion the lead then after Asseo puts in a layup on a fast break, Nubine nails a 3pter to tie the game. Axton banks in a layup and Adeife tips in a rebound then Quinn tips in a rebound to pull the Monarchs to within a bucket, 33-31, with just over 15:00 remaining. Grizzard banks in a layup then Munoz sinks a short jumper and after Asseo and Axton trade jumpers, Quinn swishes a hook to tie the game, 37-37, midway through the second half. Dudley makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Wentt and Lawrence nail jumpers, Lawrence and Dancy trade layups. Axton hits a 3pter and 1 of 2 free throws then Grizzard cans two free throws to pull Old Dominion to within five, 47-42, with 5:00 left. Dixon and Axton trade layups and after Asseo tips in a rebound, Axton puts in a layup. Asseo makes two free throws and after Munoz drops in a layup, Ndiaye sinks a jumper and slams in a dunk on a fast break. Nubine cans 1 of 2 free throws with 53 seconds to go then Asseo banks in a jumper with 21.2 to play to tie the game. With 3.0 seconds on the clock, Nubine is fouled and he buries two free throws to win the game.
