The Coaching Career of Marc Lewis (ch2k7-360)

Houston, TX - Texas Southern University is pleased to announce the hiring of Marc Lewis as their next head basketball coach. Lewis had a steady career as a player for the Creighton Blue Jays prior to being drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2nd round of the NBA draft. After failing to make the grade in the pro ranks, Lewis returned to Creighton and served as an assistant under Dana Altman for three years before earning the opportunity to lead his own team.

PF - Chris Moore - Sr

I don't care how bad the team may be, any win over a BCS (power) conference team is a great win for a small school.

You are off to a good start with these Tigers. Good luck with that out of conference schedule before the SWAC schedule.

Thanks! Baylor started off well, defeating Colorado St and #18 Gonzaga in the first two rounds of the preseason NIT. After losing to the Tigers, Baylor went on to lose the NIT semi-final to #3 North Carolina.

Well, that certainly would be nice. However, I doubt that Illinois will be available.

                      Illinois is my alma mater.

                        Texas Southern (3-1) @Texas (2-1)

Austin, TX - These two schools are linked historically. At the same time that Jackie Robinson was integrating baseball and the U.S. Army was integrating itself, the University of Texas went down another path when faced with the prospect of allowing members of another race into its law school. Hence, Texas Southern University came into existence (according to Wikipedia).
