Thanks for the responses, guys.

For those who say to keep Cabrera, he is averaging 7.46 bb/9. This is not acceptable. His control is rated "D". That is also not acceptable.

I'm with you, HH. The guy must go!

The trade would be beneficial in another way as well. The trade would also cut payroll by a little over $1mil.


The Mets are now interested and are offering Paul LoDuca for almost anyone. Must be a cost cutting move.


We are still in 3rd and only 5 1/2 games back. I might be able to wait until I hit Memorial Day but the Mets are also interested in Hafner.

Unfortunately, the trade talks broke down. Cleveland decided that, although interested, the Hafner/Carmona for Cabrera/Patterson trade was not the way they wanted to go.

That's one of the reasons why the call went out to "Boomer".
