Miami Heat (2-1) @ San Antonio Spurs (2-2)

San Antonio, TX - The Spurs gutted out a win in this one, as the "big three" led them to yet another win, as they have done so much in the past. The Spurs fell behind early and had a 1 point deficit at halftime, but turned it up in the third quarter, as they outscored the Heat 34-22. The Heat got back within 3 points in the fourth quarter, but a steady diet of Tim Duncan in the low post prevented the comeback and gave the Spurs the win. Manu Ginobili would shoot 3 free throws in the last 30 seconds to ensure the Spurs' third win of the season as they improve to 3-2 on the season.

The Spurs' defense did not have the same success defending Dwayne Wade as they did with Tracy McGrady and Yao Ming, as they combined for just 16 points in the Spurs' last game. Dwayne Wade scored 27 points in the game on 10 of 16 shooting, but only made 1 of 6 shots from three point rrange. Jason Williams, the West Virginia native, recorded a double-double as he scored 18 points and also dished out 10 assists. Newcomes Shawn Marrion scored 17 and Ricky Davis tacked on 10 more points.

Manu Ginobili led the Spurs again in scoring, as he collected 23 points on 8 of 15 shooting, including going 2 for 3 from three point range. Tim Duncan picked up 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Tony Parker got 17 points, 8 assists, and 5 steals. Bruce Bowen shined on the offensive end as he got 15 points in the game, all off three pointers, as he made all 5 three point attempts.
