Tampa Bay Devil Rays (MVP 2005)

    Introduction

Welcome to my baseball dynasty for the 2008 season, albeit an older game with outdated rosters. I tried MLB 2K8's demo, but between the terrible presentation, the framerate problems, and the fact that I cannot read the text due to my crappy SDTV and the fact that the text is way too small for me to read.

So, here we are. I will use the Tampa Bay Devil Rays using Jistic's All-Star Sliders for MVP Baseball 2005 on the original Xbox.

James Frizzell in as Devil Rays Manager

St. Petersburg, FL - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays announced today that they would be hiring an unknown by the name of James Frizzell to become the team's new manager. In fact, Frizzell will also assume the General Manager position as well. Tampa Bay owner Stuart Sternberg took a lot of heat from fans about the decision. He replied by stating, "Frizzell has a fine baseball mind and I think we can right the ship and get this franchise going under his
          direction."

Frizzell stated, "I really hope to make this team a contender for the first time in franchise history. This franchise has never won 70 games in a single season and I hope to change that. I am ready for the challenge!"

And don't forget, it's the Rays now. The devil has left Tampa.

Yes but in MVP 2005 it's still "Devil" Rays that's probably why he still calls them the Devil Rays.

Haha, thanks! I think I will still refer to them as the Devil Rays, though, since I really liked their old uniforms and their name. The Tampa Bay Rays just doesn't sound as good as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to me. Plus, the are the Devil Rays in the game. Thanks for following!

Yes, that is what I am going. I hope it does not diminish the realism for anyone.

Ah you beat me to it. I was about to do the exact same thing except I have the PC version so I was going to be the Tampa Bay Rays. I'll be following for sure, good luck.

I wish I had the PC version, but my PC sucks. Go ahead and start one with the Rays, that would be fine with me. The more the merrier! We can compare our struggling franchises!
