Haha, but at least you got swept by the Yankees. The Devil Rays are ranked 27th in this game and the Blue Jays are ranked 26th in team ratings. The Yankees are good, whereas the Blue Jays aren't so much (In real life they are, but not in 2005).

Judging by the first game of the Oakland series (which I am about to post), I think I might just get swept by the Athletics too.

      April 8th, 2005: Game 4 of 162

      Series: Game 1 of 3

Oakland Athletics (3-0) @ Tampa Bay Devil Rays (0-3)

      Pitching Matchup:

      J. Blanton (0-0, 0.00 ERA) @ R. Bell (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

      Box Score:

      OAK - 1 0 0 0 0 1 2 1 0 - 5/15/0
      TBD - 0 0 1 0 0 0 0 0 0 - 1/4/1

      W - J. Blanton (1-0)
      L - R. Bell (0-1)

      ***Athletics Lead Series 1-0***

St. Petersburg, FL - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays stayed winless on the season as they fell to the undefeated Oakland Athletics, who were 3-0 coming into the game. Oakland's Blanton pitched 8 inning, giving up just 3 hits, one of which was a solo shot in the 3rd inning by Alex S. Gonzales, which happens to be the Rays' first home run of the season, as they did not hit one in the Toronto series, while allowing the Blue Jays to hit 9 in the 3 game series. That is certainly a recipe for disaster.

This is giving me the itch to finish my Cardinals season... but I just can't find time to play it with College Hoops!

Tough start to the year. Hopefully you'll bounce back, though.

Yeah, I enjoyed your Cardinals season on the PSP. I am actually getting College Hoops 2K8 finally tomorrow, so hopefully that won't cut into my baseball gaming time too much, though I think not. I'm probably going to do a West Virginia legacy instead of a career legacy, though.

Anyways, I will keep on playing this, too, of course!

Well, I will be in Florida, too! Haha, I won't be winning any games, then. I am going to see my sick grandpa, who has liver cancer, so I will be leaving on Saturday for Florida. I am not sure when I will get back, but probably later in the week.

Maybe I can win a game on Thursday or Friday before I go.

Well if it makes it any better I'm actually too disappointed to update mine right now. I'm currently 1-6. Both my one and two starters are 0-2, and my team is hitting below .220 right now. I really need to make some kind of move because after Young went out for the year I just can't hit, but I'm trying to make it as realistic as possible so I don't want to trade for anybody.

Good luck to you, I can tell this is going to be tough to stick out. Probably a mistake to start out on MVP level when I haven't played it in a year or so.

Yes, I am having a lot of trouble hitting as well. I think I was hitting like in the .190 range the last time I checked and I only have 1 home run so far. My pitching has been good at times and then horrible at times. It seems like when I get good pitching, I get horrible batting, and when I get good batting, I get horrible pitching. It's tough to win those games.

I am playing on All-Star. I could go down, but I really like the realism of these sliders. I guess I will just struggle through the year. Goal #1 for me is to NOT finish last in the AL East!!!

Alright, I am going down to Florida tomorrow and will not be back until next Saturday, so I will not be able to update this until them. I will still be cruising the forums as I have access to the internet and I am bringing my laptop, the just won't be able to play any videogames.

Here in North Carolina, it is like 43 degrees right now. Tomorrow it is supposed to be only 40 degrees with some rain as well. I don't think they are calling for any snow, just a cold rain. It certainly doesn't feel like Spring.

It is going to be 62 here Monday so I won't complain but there they are calling for rain which could wash out the Tribe's season opener but it is still better than what they got last year when they started the season.
