On another note SP Tim Hudson has struggled big time in his last 3 starts losing all 3 with an ERA of 5.29.

                    Veteran Free Agent Signed-5/15

The Oakland Athletics have announced today that they have signed Veteran SP Todd Stottlemyre to a 2 year deal paying him 5 BP's. Stottlemyre will be used as a reliever and may see a couple of starting gigs. The A's pitching has been sluggesh and hopefully Stottlemyre will be able to give the A's rotation the neccessary rest.

ESPN has reported that the Oakland A's have struck 2 deals with two NL teams.

The Cubs sent P Matt Clement and OF Corey Patterson to Oakland in exchange for 1B Scott Hatteberg, P Erik Hiljus and OF Chris Singleton as well as 1 BP

And the L.A. Dodgers have sent P Kaz Ishii, OF Daryle Ward and SS Cesar Izturis to the A's for C Mitch Meluskey, SS Ben Bishop, P Ted Lilly and OF Mike Colangelo.

Both deals have been confirmed by all 3 team officials

                        Also....

The A's have announced today that they have reached a 4 year contract extension with SS Miguel Tejada paying him 28 BP's

I like your deals so far - I am in the midst of determining what the A's need and then make some deals for them. As you know, Oakland's budget isn't the highest so whatever deals I make will be sure to keep costs low. I will re-sign Tejada too - if it only were so easy for the A's in real life - good luck with your franchise

As you know, Oakland's budget isn't the highest so whatever deals I make will be sure to keep costs low. I will re-sign Tejada too - if it only were so easy for the A's in real life - good luck with your franchise
