Dye has generated 34 RBI's and hit 11 HR's to go along with his .324 average this month. His average has jumped from .274 to .294 in only 26 games

        MLB News

A trade between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Cincinati Reds have RP Mike Crudale sent to the Reds for OF Austin Kearns.

        Oakland Athletics News.....

The A's have released OF Ronnie Fluken for no penalty to sign free agent OF Larry Underwood. The A's said that Fluken age and Underwood speed around the base paths were the reason for the move.

The Athletics also have made their 3rd trade of the season. Due to multiple injuries and lack of production to their Bullpen, the New York Yankees have offered the A's the serves of 3B Drew Henson and RP Jeff Weaver, who is having a terrible year with a 7.14 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP, for RP Matt Rice, who has a 2.98 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP, and 1B David McCarty. Oakland Officials have announced the acceptance of this deal.

Oakland then sends down RP Fikac and SS Izturis to have Jeff Weaver help their Bullpen and use Henson as a backup to 3B Eric Chavez.

The Seattle Mariners send OF Chris Snelling, C Pat Borders and RP Aaron Taylor to Milwaukee for the serves of 1B Richie Sexson. Mariners officlas say that this move was done to help their offensive numbers as well as create some depth to their bench.
