    Game 11: Texans @ Browns

    Score:
    Texans-34
    Browns-6

    Game Leaders
    passing: (HOU)Matt Schaub 15/28 165yrds 2Td's 2Int's
    rushing: (HOU)Steve Slaton 18att 76yrds 1Td
    receiving: (HOU)Andre Johnson 7rec 97yrds 1Td

    Game Recap:
I dont think the Cleveland Browns ever showed up to this game. Matt Schaub still has trouble with interceptions but it hasnt been too big of a problem the Texans keep winning. Owen Daniels added 3 catches for 20yrds and one touchdown. The Texans defense keeps playing tough and producing turnovers. Anthony Weaver added 3 sacks, Marlon Greenwood and Mario Williams each added a sack. Demeco Ryans had 2 interceptions, rookie linebacker Xavier Adibi returned his only interception for a 100yrd TD return, safety Will Demps also added an interception.

    Next Game:
    Jaguars (6-5) @ Texans(8-3)

Injuries: Texans (Shaun Alexander - foot fracture-out for season) Jaguars(QB David Garrad out 1 week -hip pointer)

            Game Recap:
After almost vanishing from the scene the past couple weeks Andre Johnson showed big time this week torching the Tennessee secondary...Schaub continued his so-so preformance i honestly think there hasn't been a game where he hasn't thrown an interception...Schaub spread the ball around pretty good in this game Owen Daniels added 6 catches for 63yrds and 1Td also Kevin Walter added another 4 catches for 33yrds and 1Td...The Texans defense while they gave up 32 points the had 3 crucial goal line stand 2 of them in the fourth quarter that forced the titans just to kick a fg so they could get some points...Demeco Ryans led way with 11 tackles...Amobi Okoye got his 9th and 10th sacks of the season while Rosevelt Colvin added his 2nd of the season, Mario Williams also got into the action with his 8th sack of the season...Safety C.C Brown also add the only interception for the Texans Defense...Steve Slaton cracked the 1,000 yrds rushing mark for the season with his 88yrds on 22atts in this game...

            Next Game: Texans(9-5) @ Raiders(7-7)

              receiving: (OAK)Javon Walker 8rec 108yrds 1Td

              Game Recap:
This was a very Ugly game for the Houston Texans offense...Matt Schaub threw for only 148yrds and no touchdowns and also added 4Ints with 3 of them coming in the fourth quarter trying to force something...the Raiders defense completly shut down the Texans...the running game never got off the ground Steve Slaton and Ahman Green combined for 32yrds and Matt Schaub ran for 21yrds...on the plus side the defense still played pretty good Demeco Ryans led the Texans with 12 tackles and the Game...Mario Williams recorded a sack and so did Anthony Weaver...C.C. Brown, Xavier Adibi, Dunta Robinson, and Jacques Reeves each had an interception...on a side note DE Derrick Burgess of the Oakland Raiders had 4 sacks...Hopefully this lose wont ruin the Texans chances of making the Playoffs...

Game 16: (Last Game of the Season) Bears @ Texans

                Score:
                Bears-27
                Texans-30

                Game Leaders:
                passing: (HOU) Matt Schaub 25/38 324yrds 2Td 0int
                rushing: (CHI)Matt Forte 25att 95yrds 1Td
                receiving: (HOU)Andre Johnson 8rec 178yrds 2Td

                Game Recap:
Texans led all of this game until 2:00 left in the 4th qrt when Rex Grossman hit Devin Hester for a 55yrd touchdown score. Running the 2min offense looked fairly easy for Matt Schaub, the big play on the drive was a 42yrd pass to Andre Johnson to get them in fg range then ahman green worked the bears for another 20yrds while running the clock and getting the ball closer for kicker Kris Brown...for the rest of the Texans Steve Slaton had a poor showing so Ahman Green stepped in with 13att for 53yrds and 1Td...Devin Hester looked like a very good deep threat for the Bears catching 3 balls for 97yrds and 1TD...Chris Henry also added 8 catches for 96yrds...Anthony Weaver added another sack and Xavier Adibi added the only interception of the game...

Next Game: none...have to wait and see if the Texans get in the playoffs

                                WR Chris Henry(82)

                                2. LT-Alex Boone(82)-Ohio St
                                3. CB-Mike Mickens(77)-Cincinnatti
                                4. RG-Kraig Urbik(76)-Wisconsin
                                4. DE-Kenny Mainor(69)-Troy
                                5. RG-Cedric Dockery(72)-Texas

                                6. C-Max Unger(73)-Oregon
                                7. FB-Chris Ogbonnaya(69)-Texas

I drafted Michael Crabtree because i thought we would be the prefect compliment to Andre Johnson...I drafted five offensive linemen to try and find a few gems and maybe some backups...Alex Boone will start right away at left tackle and last years first round pick Duane Brown will move to right guard...Mike Mickens gives me depth and a good kick returner and a possible future starter in the secondary...Kenny Mainor(DE) just adds depth to the strong defensive line...TE Travis Beckum is another weapon for Matt Schaub to throw too and gives a valuable backup to Owen Daniels and wont lose much if i have to take Daniels out...Fullback Chris Ogbonnaya was just a sentimental pick cause i am a Texas Longhorn fan and had no idea who to take with my last pick...

                                FA Signings
HB-Ron Dayne-1yr deal-signed him cause he gives me an excellent balance of speed(slaton) with power(dayne)
FS-Marcus Griffen-2yr deal a backup to Will Demps

Notable picks in the NFL Draft
#1 overall to the Tennessee Titans-CB Malcolm Jenkins from Ohio St
#10 QB Hunter Cantwell goes to the Bears (maybe they found their QB)
#17-MLB Rey Maualuga-Cincinnati Bengals (last year took another USC LB Keith Rivers)
#18-WR Derrick Williams-Raiders-excellent punt returner and speed burner from Penn st.
#19-LB James Laurinaitis goes to Broncos

*Bills take QBs in the 1st round and second round
*Patriots, Chargers, Cowboys, and Dolphins all take QB's in first round
*3 of the top 4 picks were QB's

                                Questions for the Up-coming season
1.Will Steve Slaton have a sophomore slump?

7.Can Andre Johnson repeat last years numbers?
