    ADVICE NEEDED!!!!!!! (see below)

    MVP: Brian Westbrook
    OPOY: Brian Westbrook
    DPOY: EJ Henderson
    OROY: Matt Forte
    DROY: Brandon Flowers
    Coach: Dungy

Colts went 16-0. Playoffs are about to start.

In the meantime...I need some advice. Should I empty the cupboard and hire an entirely new coaching staff? There are some obvious firings, such as my GM, D-coordinator, DLine coach, DB, coach, and trainer, but should I COMPLETELY clean house?

Well I almost cleaned house...Here is how it shook out:

        GM: FIRED

OC: Retained (I call the plays but he's great with OL which I like)
        QB coach: retained
RB coach: retained (has good ratings)
WR coach: FIRED (he sucks with TE's and we had a ton of drops)
        OL coach: FIRED

        DC: FIRED
        DL coach: FIRED
        LB coach: FIRED
        DB coach: FIRED

        Trainer: FIRED

Sign Mikey Lewis as our next GM. I had to agree to cut Jevon Kearse (NOOOO sleep over that one) as well as Jeff Backus for him to sign with us. I agreed even though I liked Backus. Backus is only an 81 and I too would love an upgrade at a vital position like LT. I just didn't want to have to fill that gap this offseason. The GM is worth it and that was better compensation than relinquising control over parts of the team and its workings. I can easily replace Backus.

I also have signed DC Jerry Gray who was the DB coach in Buffalo. He was something like a 96 DB coach so I'm hoping he'll help with our pass defense even though the big problem was with our pass rush. He's rated as a 41 DC.

TB hosts PHI in the NFC Championship game (top 2 teams)

Undefeated Colts, having just escaped against JAX, host the Browns who had a HUGE upset win in Foxboro to hand the Pats just their second loss.

Check that, Gray was from WASH not BUF. Mikey Lewis was the GM from New Orleans.

Miami ended up signing my defensive coordinator! Yikes!

Hired former Panthers OC, Jeff Davidson (45 rating), as our OL coach.

Hired WR coach Mike Johnson (50 rating) who appears to be a fake coach without any experience.

Off to the in-laws for dinner but for those wondering...

Colts advance to the SB beaing Cleveland 31-21 scoring 17 pts in the 4th quarter to remain undefeated!

Eagles win on the road, by the same score as the AFC game, handing the Bucs just their 3rd loss of the season.

                  Superbowl:
                  18-0 Colts

hopefully with the better coaches you can turn the lions into winners, what position are you in the draft?

Re: Sick of it all...Lions Dynasty Thread

I'm about a week into free agency:

My GM wants me to obtain a QB, TE, and LT rated 85 or higher. There is no one available via trade (on the block at least) who fits this bill.

I signed FA TE Alge Crumpler who satisfied my GM as he was the only TE rated above a 76 (he's an 86). I'm not sure I would have signed him otherwise as a TE has a smaller role in my offense but it will be nice to have someone else make plays for my QB.

I did some digging for a QB trade and started looking at options:
Carson Palmer, Jay Cutler, Tony Romo...there are a lot of teams willing to listen to an offer. I don't want to overspend however and that is what it appears I would have to do.

Free agency, there are some guys around the 80 range available who I like with Kurt Warner being the highest rated FA QB at 83. I'll dive deeper into QB's once they start poppping up in the clipboard as signees.

I signed two of the highest profile FA's thusfar, to go along with Alge Crumpler, in CB Nnamdi Asomugha (96 overall!) and LOLB Michael Boley (86). I didn't think I'd sign Boley but I entered just to check and I was the ONLY team interested in his services! He's a bit of a premadona but we need some talent and I don't mind hitting FA hard to get some respectability on this team.

Nnamdi Asomugha I BARELY got. He wanted 7 years and, at age 27, the only way I would sign him to a deal was if it were under $70 total. He's worth that IMO and I ended up winning the bidding at $69M phew! I would NOT have gone higher so I feel good about getting him. This allows me to put Brian Kelly, who was injured a lot, at CB3 where he can hopefully stay healthy.

Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but my GM had me cut C Raiola and LT Jeff Backus. I'm hoping to get my LT in the draft but I also MUST improve our pass rush with a nice DE. Luckily, I have plenty of needs by the time my 13th overall pick comes by and I should be able to take best available and still fill a need.

even tho kurt is old he might be good for a year or so but i wouldnt over pay for him, i think crumpler will be a good addition to the team and give your qb whoever it may be a weapon outside your wr's. what type of de's do you like? mike freeny type or a traditional de

I like DE's that can rush the passer and defend against the run so I guess "prototype" but with the lack of pass rush I may have to change my DE philosophy to pass rusher.

WHY!?! If he plays anything like RL, be prepared for alot of disappointments. He's got a tendency to miss alot for the Bombers.
