vs. Radford
58-55
This was a very close game throughout. The Keydets seem to play to the level of competition most often and cannot pull away from their weaker opponents. This could prove costly when entering into the conference tournament and even the NCAA Tournament or NIT when stiffer competition is faced. Radford led the game 23-22 at the break. However, VMI came back and held off Radford down the stretch led by Chavis Holmes and his 24 points and 3 assists.

at UNC-Asheville
78-62
VMI seems to be getting better and better as the year goes on. Who knows how far they will be able to go and even if they will make the post season tournament. Nothing is guarenteed when you are in a small conference like the Big South. It was all VMI from the start. With the departure of Kenny George from the team in the off season, UNC-Asheville struggled to compete with the Keydets. It was 33-23 at the break and VMI just continued to pour it on in the 2nd half finishing with a 16 point victory. Chavis Holmes continued his streak of 30 point games finishing with 34 points on 8/19 shooting from 3. Stephen Sargent finsihed with 17 points and 9 rebounds. VMI now looks forward to its showdown with 10-1 league foe Winthrop for the regular season crown.
