Goodness, nice little playoff run you have here. Now, if only A-Rod produced like this in real life. .

Yea, and the playoffs have been totally different than the regular season. Regular season Arod hit around .260, now he's hitting close to .400. While Jeter who was at the top of the MVP voting all year long in the regular season is hitting below .150. It's weird have everything changed, but it's working. This series should be pretty easy since we already beat the best team in the league, Boston last series. I hope we don't choke like in real life last year though.

World Series Game 2 Yankees at Cardinals

Yankees at Cardinals Game 2 (Yankees lead 1-0)
            Williams vs. Mussina

For 8.2 innings, the Yankees couldn't muster any offense against Cardinal pitcher Woody Williams. And once they finally did, it wasn't enough. Gary Sheffield's solo homerun with 2 outs in the 9th was the Yankees only offense, as the Cardinals evened up the series with a 2-1 victory. In the 6th inning, with a runner on 3rd with one out, St. Louis hit a ground ball to Giambi. Giambi's throw home could not beat the runner, and St. Louis took a 1-0 lead. Edmonds followed with a double to make it 2-0, and that's all Woody Williams would need as he scattered 6 hits in a complete game victory.

            W Williams (3-0)
            L Mussina (2-2)

            Series tied 1-1

World Series Game 3 Cardinals at Yankees

Cardinals at Yankees Game 3 (Series tied 1-1)
                  Vazquez vs. Morris

Once again the Yankees potent lineup was shutdown by Cardinal pitching. Morris pitched a complete game shutout as the Cardinals beat the Yankees 2-0, becoming the first team to beat the Yankees in the Bronx this postseason, and taking a 2-1 series lead. Pujols hit a solo shot into the black seats in the first inning, and Girardi had a sacrifice fly in the 5th to provide the offense for St. Louis.

                  W Morris (2-1)
                  L Vazquez (2-2)

St. Louis leads New York 2-1

Cardinals lead Yankees 3 Games to 1!

This game was awhile ago, and I don't remember anything about it.

But the Cardinals did win, and took a commanding 3-1 World Series lead.
