The Bearcats won their tenth straight game, and have opened the season with a 10-0 record after blowing out the Miami (OH) Redhawks 83-58 last night. James White scored a team high 19 points, and had 5 rebounds in the win. James White said the game was great, "There's nothing like beating a home state rival." Coach Huggins and the gang will now pack their bags and head for San Francisco. They will be competiting in the San Francisco Classic, a tournament played at the Leavey Center, home of the Santa Clara Broncos starting tomorrow night.

Again, like every game this season for the Cats, turnovers were key in the win. They forced 18 turnovers off 16 steals, and were able to score 27 points off the Redhawks turnovers. The 24 fast break and 33 bench points also played a big role, as the Bearcats still have not had a game where their bench has contributed less than 25 points.

Although Cincinnati is favored to win the tournament, dont count Santa Clara out. They are known to be a very dangerous team from beyond the arch and can rebound very well. Plus, they will be playing with homecourt advantage throughout the tourney. The Bearcats start off by playing the Yale Bulldogs, a team that only averages about 67 points a game, while the Bearcats average over 80 a game.
