    Bradley Center - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The DePaul Blue Demons rode their bus just north to Wisconsin, to take on the Marquette Golden Eagles in Diener vs Diener, Round 2.

The first half was very competitive, as both teams shot fairly well and played their butts off on defense. Travis Diener and Steve Novak continued their hot shooting, but beyond them, the Golden Eagles didn't have much to offer offensively. Drake Diener was shut down in the first half, scoring only two points. However, DePaul held the first half lead, and went into the intermission up by four.

In the second half, the Blue Demons put on an offensive show. Alley-oop after alley-oop was thrown, and the Golden Eagles seemed helpless out there. Diener and Novak tried to pull Marquette back into the game, but it was too little too late, as DePaul won 70-63.

    Players Of The Game
    MARQ - Travis Diener - 27 points, 12 assists
    DEP - Drake Diener - 23 points, 3 assists

    MARQ
    Novak - 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals
    Kinsella - 8 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists

    DEP
    Green - 12 points, 13 rebounds
    Greer - 10 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds

    Video Highlights
Novak ends the first half on a good note

Good game against U of Louisville but tough loss to DePaul. That alley from Diener was tight. I'm ready for the game against Cincy, it's gonna be huge.

                    Shoemaker Center - Cincinnati, Ohio

The Marquette Golden Eagles traveled to Cincinnati to take on the national powerhouse Bearcats, and were looking to redeem themselves after a tough loss to DePaul.

In the first half, the game was closer than close. The teams seemed to mirror each other perfectly, trading baskets and playing pretty good defense. Travis Diener hit 5 three pointers in the first half, and tallied 20 points for Marquette in the period. Going into the half, it was a one point Golden Eagles' lead.

The second half was also very close, and James White took over. The high-flyer was on both the receiving and giving ends of alley-oops, and had the Bearcats playing very good basketball. The combination of Muhammad, White, and Maxiell led Cincinnati to a 6 point lead late in the half, but Diener wasn't having it. After hitting a jumper and recorded a steal, Diener came back up the court. He pump faked, got his man in the air, and nailed a three, and was sent to the line after the foul. Diener made the shot, and the Golden Eagles never looked back, winning 81-75.

I'm a little mad that DePaul ended my winning streak, though.

Either way, a win against Cinci, IN Cinci is a good way to start a new one.

                                Bradley Center - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

The Houston Cougars visited Milwaukee, went sight-seeing a little bit, and ate at a few restaurants. Oh yeah, they played Marquette, too.

The first half proved to be very close, as both teams shot the rock extremely well from the field. Andre Owens and Travis Diener led their respective teams into battle, both shooting the three-ball very well. Going into the break, the teams were seperated by only three points.

The second half was completely different than the first. The Cougars fell apart, and could not get anything going. Marquette took this one easily, 76-46.
