Illinois' roster is wrong, it goes: Dee, Deron, Luther Head, Powell, and then Augustine.
              Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial

                          #4 Michigan           44   50-94
                          #1 North Carolina   43   53-96

                          The storybook season...has ended.

The Michigan Wolverines fought valiantly against the powerhouse Tar Heels of North Carolina, but for the second time--the other being Chris Webber's phantom timeout in 1993--the Wolverines made an unbelievable error against UNC.

North Carolina led 94-91 with 20 seconds to go, when Daniel Horton was inexplicably called for a backcourt violation. Sean May went to the FT line after an intentional foul, and actually missed the first half of the one and one, but UNC pulled down ANOTHER offensive rebound, and got back to the line, where Rashad McCants made both FTs. Horton hit a 3, but it was too late.

                          North Carolina 96, Michigan 94.

                          Player of the Game

Sean May: 30 points, 13 rebounds

Lester Abram: 26 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals
Daniel Horton: 24 points, 4 assists, 4 steals
Courtney Sims: 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks
Chris Hunter: 7 points, 5 rebounds
Ronald Coleman: 7 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists

Marvin Williams: 22 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals
Jawad Williams: 19 points, 6 rebounds
Raymond Felton: 11 points, 13 assists
                          Rashad McCants: 10 points

Well, good news for you, UNC loses like all their players after one year, so they'll suck.
                              Blind to this impending fate
We let the world carry our weight
It's back breaks with every mile
But we all live in denial
