                      #13 Michigan   40   30-70

In the Big Ten opener, Michigan demolished Iowa in Iowa City, 100-71.

Iowa looked for payback in Crisler Arena in the Big Ten finale for the two teams, 8 days before Selection Sunday. Iowa will not be going to the Big Dance, barring an improbable win in the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan has guaranteed a birth in the Big Dance. But that didn't decrease their desire to take out Iowa.

Things started off easily, as Michigan held a 40-24 lead at halftime. But Iowa slowly chipped away at the lead and got it down to 6 at 56-50 with 5:00 to go. But Courtney Sims was an animal in the paint all night, registering his first career triple double, and Michigan beat the Hawkeyes, 70-57.

                      Player of the Game
