Coming off the ultimate heartbreak in East Lansing, the Wolverines Top 25 hopes for next week were dwindling, and they looked to respond in West Lafeyette against the Boilermakers.

Regrettably, the Wolverines came out flatter than a Firestone tire. They fell behind 22-8 and were down 45-30. Purdue blew it open even further in the second half, and Michigan could get no closer than 13, as Purdue ran away, 82-64.

Coming off a heartbreaking loss at Michigan State and a blowout loss at Purdue, Michigan's season was teetering on disaster. But the Wolverines returned home, where they have been explosive so far this year.

And they did not disappoint, although the Gophers hung around for about ten minutes or so. But Michigan's speed was far superior as they dealt out 22 assists and had 10 fast break points, blowing Minnesota out of Crisler Arena, 90-57.
