BRONCOS SIGN 17 LAND THE #29 OVERALL CLASS

Not only did Coach Matt Miller have success this season in not losing a single player to the transfer portal but he also did a great job at adding some talented players from the Portal signing 8 players.

Miller also added 4 very talented 4* WR's to a already young receiving room and a pair of 4* RB's that could complete for the #1 job in the post Sire Gaines era.

BSU had signed just 3 players in the regular season recruiting period but managed to sign 17 more players in the off-season to finish with a Class of 20 players that ranked #29 Nationally and #4 in the Pac-12.

After keeping convincing both Tanner Applewhite and Brian Ridge to return to backup up Tavien St Clair, Miller and Arroyo landed the Broncos future starter getting 3* Deonte Todd in the Portal.. Todd a Redshirt Freshman from USC is 6'4 218 lbs and looks very much liked St Clair did when he arrived from Ohio State.

BSU has signed 3 RB's from the transfer portal the past 3 season's to share the rushing load with Sire Gaines and this year is no different. BSU had targeted several highly touted 4* RB's including a pair of Arizona State RB's familiar with Arroyo's offense but instead went with one of Tavien St Clair's former teammates landing 3* Lamar "Bo" Jackson.. Jackson was a highly touted recruit (#9 Overall) out of high school but never suited up for the Buckeyes instead transfering San Jose State for the 2026 season. After rushing for almost 1000 yds and 12 TD's for the Spartans, Jackson hit the portal again this time signing with San Diego State, but Jackson would play just 5 games for the Aztec's before getting hurt and now is looking to follow in Roderick Robinson II's shoes and see if he can put together a 1000 yd season despite sharing the backfield with Gaines. Jackson is listed as a RS SO, so he will potentially have the #1 RB title after Gaines graduates.

Miler also landed a pair of talented 4* High School recruits in 5'10 189lb Randall Amerson (#166 Overall/#17 RB). Amerson was the Nebraska Gatorade POY (#1 Recruit) from Lincoln and held a scholarship offer with the Huskers. 4* Tyler Fry (#332 Overall/#39RB) is listed at 6'1 209lbs from Lawrenceville GA.. Fry had a late scholarship offer and push from Clemson but in the end picked BSU.. Both players are expected to Redshirt and push for a starting job in 2029

BSU already returns their Top-4 WR's from last season including a pair of 1000 yd WR's in E. Fogg and K. Bettis but that didn't stop Miller from landing 4 more very talented 4* recruits including a pair of High School Gatorade POY's.

6'5 192lb Kyle Harmon (Draper Utah) was ranked #125 Overall/#2 Utah and #21 WR)
    6'1 201lb Jermarcus Boykins (Englewood CO) was ranked #157 Overall/#1 Colorado/#30 WR)
    6'3 194lb Keshaun Buckner (Shaokopee MN) was ranked #181 Overall/#1 Minnesota/#39 WR)
6'4 194lb Conner Friesz (Salt Lake City UT) was ranked Latest Posts link? Overall/#6 Utah/#57 WR)

All 4 are expected to Redshirt and push their way onto the depth chart in 2029.

Boise State graduated their Top-3 TE's off the depth chart. They added 3* Recruit Tobias Teague early in the season but Teague is expected to move to FB so they landed 3* Chase Loftin in the portal.. A TR JR from Florida State, Loftin is listed at 6'6 234lbs and is expected to push for the starting job next season after not seeing any action the past 2 year's at FSU.

Coach Miller struck out on several O-Lineman recruits in the Portal as he targeted 4 potential starters to replace 3 starters from last season who all were drafted to the NFL..

    BSU lost 2 of it's Top-2 DT's to graduation
DT Michael Mardie (30 tackles, 7 TFL, 4.5 sacks) and DT Markis Deal (43 Tackles, 14 TFL, 4 Sacks) so Miller landed 3* Aric Martin (Notre Dame). Martin recorded just 17 Tackles with 4 TFL and 3 sacks last season for the Irish but he is expected to push for a starting job.

Miller also landed 4* High School recruit Callum Johnson (#119 Overall/#8 DT). Johnson is listed at 6'4 316lbs from Cedar Rapids Iowa and was Iowa's Gatorade POY (#1 State)

BSU must figure out away to replace LB Clay Martineau (110 Tackles 10 TFL 3 Sacks, 2 INT) the Dick Butkus/Bronko Nagurski/Chuck Bednarik Award winner All-American., and they got a pretty good place to start landing a pair of 3* Recruits from the Portal.

RS FR Maurice Nwangqu (SMU) saw limited action last year for the Mustangs (7 tackles) but TR SO Devonta Cushenberry (N. Texas) was a 2 year starter for the Mean Green and recorded 64 Tackles with 1 Forced Fumble last season.

BSU graduated CB Frankyln Johnson Jr (67 Tackles 2 INT) but will look to replace him with 3* Recruit Nate Muma (Pitt).. Muma recorded 51 tackles and had 9 Pass Deflections for the Panthers last season.

BSU also gradated SS Boen Phelps (90 tackles, 2 INT) and will look to replace him with 3* Recruit Rachard Ray (USC).. Ray recorded 32 Tackles last season for the Trojans
