          BRONCOS CLINCH PAC-12 TITLE!!
          GAME RECAP

Boise State in just their 2nd season in the Pac-12 have claimed the schools first ever Pac-12 title winning a shootout against Arizona State and in the process claim a Top-4 seed in this year's playoffs.

Tied (14-14) after the 1st Quarter, BSU jumped out to a (35-24) lead in the 2nd Quarter as former Ohio State transfer Tavien St Clair cements his name into the Boise State history books with his 44th TD of the season setting a new Boise State single season record. St Clair finished the 1st half with 3 passing TD's and 1 rushing TD as he makes a final push toward some Heisman votes.

ASU opened up the 2nd half with the ball and would cut the lead to (35-32) after scoring on the opening drive and converting the 2pt play but Boise State answers back as Georgia transfer Roderick Robinson continues to dominate the ground game with the first of (3) 2nd half touchdowns to make it (42-32) going into the 4th.

ASU opened up the 4th Quarter with a 33 yd rushing touchdown by JR RB Bryan Jackson (87 Ovr) and again the Sun Devils would go for the 2pt play and convert to make it (42-40), but Boise State answers back with Robinson's 2nd touchdown to extend the lead back to (49-40). A turnover on downs would give Boise State the ball back with under 5 minutes to play and the Broncos went to work with the ground game once again as Gaines and Robinson combined for 10 carries on the final drive including a 5 yd run by Robinson as he earns the "Hat Trick" for a 2nd straight game extending the lead to (56-40) with 2:32 to play.

Down by 2 scores with under 3 minutes to play, ASU RS FR QB Josh Bee (82 Ovr) would use a combination of both his arm and feet as he drives the Sun Devils 80 yds to the endzone including a 8 yd touchdown run (his 2nd of the game).. For a 3rd straight try, ASU converts the 2pt play as they make it (56-48) with 48 seconds on the clock. Out of timeouts ASU only had 1 hope and that was to secure the onside kick, but the BSU hands team was ready as they secure the kick as St Clair goes into victory formation.

Bee would end the game 23/36 (63%) for 299 yds with 2 TD's in the air and 37 yds and 2 TD on the ground. Bryan Jackson finished with a team high 18 carries for 105 yds and 2 scores as well, well SR WR Jordan Ross (83 ovr) had 6 rec for 83 yds and 2 TD.

Championship Week played a major role in this year's Selection Show as #1 Penn State falls to Michigan in the Big Ten Championship opening the door for the Wolverines to claim the 12 seed despite finishing the year as the #14 ranked team.

Florida's win over Tennessee locked the Gators also into the playoffs as they finish the season ranked #12, earning the #11 seed.

With Michigan and Florida in this meant that #11 (11-1) Oklahoma would be left out of the playoffs as would CUSA Champion Southern Miss who would finish the year ranked #18 with a (12-1) record.

ACC Champion Louisville moves to claim the #1 spot and the #1 seed with the Penn State loss, but the Nittany Lions still manage to hold onto a Top-4 seed claiming the #4 seed being ranked higher then both the SEC and Big Ten Champions.

With their win over previously undefeated Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship, Texas moves up to claim the #2 seed well Boise State jumped from #5 to #3 with their win over ASU in the Pac-12 title game claiming the #3 seed.

Oklahoma State dropped from #4 to #5 and will be the #5 seed as they will host Michigan in Round 1 with the winner advancing to face Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl

#6 (10-2) Georgia will host Florida in a SEC Showdown in Round 1 , with the winner advancing to face Boise State in the Rose Bowl.

#7 (10-2) Indiana makes the playoff for their 3rd straight year as they will host #10 (10-2) Miami in Round 1, with the winner advancing to face Texas in the Sugar Bowl

8 (10-2) Nebraska will host #9 (10-3) Tennessee in the final matchup.. The Vol's are the only team to make the playoffs despite 3 loss's leaving many to question why they are in and (11-1) Oklahoma is not despite the fact the Big 12 already has 3 teams in.. The winner will advance to face #1 Louisville in the Peach Bowl

Hey Deuce! Long time no see bud. Glad to see you're back at it - looks like you've got Blue rolling right along again. Sire Gaines was a solid pickup - he's a beast in 26.

Was coming bye to check out sliders and saw this and had to check it out. I'll try and check in periodically, I'm posting mine somewhere else now.

Good luck in the upcoming playoff!

dynastysports.net is the place - ended up finding it while OS was undergoing all those site upgrades that constantly shut it down. Pretty active chise section and a bunch of guys that used to post on VSN / DSS / SS back in the day if you were ever on any of those sites

                    BOISE STATE BRONCO TEAM NEWS

                    NEW OC

Former Hawaii QB/OC and Washington OC Timmy Chang is one the move after just 1 season with the Broncos. Under Chang, RS SO Tavien St Clair has had a record setting year throwing for over 4000 yds with 44 TD and 8 INT, well the Boise State ground game has combined for over 2400 yds and a combined 51 TD's. However Chang is headed to the SEC where he will take over a Vanderbilt program that just 3-9 Overall and 2-7 in SEC play.

                    Miller
"We wish Coach Chang the best.. He was a great addition to our staff last season but we are excited about what the next chapter holds"
The next chapter will be Marcus Arroyo.. Arroyo spent last season as the OC at Arizona State . Arroyo however like Chang is a former QB who started his career at San Jose State before taking his talents to Wyoming, Cal Berkely, Southern Miss, Oklahoma State, Oregon as well as the NFL with the Tampa Bay Bucks serving as QB/WR/RB and OC at several stops before becoming a Head Coach at UNLV where he posted a 7-23 record before being fired and accepting the OC job at ASU.

                    Miller
"Coach Arroyo has alot of experience and is a great offensive coach who will be a huge asset to our program I knows the West Coast and should be a huge asset to our recruiting as well."

                    BSU WILL FACE #6 GEORGIA

#6 Georgia defeated #11 Florida (38-24) to set up a matchup with #3 BSU in the Rose Bowl.. This will not be the first time Boise State and Georgia have faced each other. Georgia dominated the Broncos in their 1st matchup in 2005 (48-13) but Boise State got it's revenge in 2011 defeating the Bulldogs (35-21)

                    CHASING 1000

The Georgia vs Boise State playoff matchup will have some extra fuel to the fire as former Georgia Bulldog RB Roderick Robinson II will look to join Sire Gaines (1127 yds 11 TD) in the 1000 yd club.. Robinson enters the game with 967 yds and 13 TD on the season despite having 109 less carries the Gaines.

                    REWRITING HISTORY

Last season Chris Marshall set a new single season record for receptions with 93.. Going into the playoffs 2 players have a chance to break that record.

Redshirt Freshman Kelian Bettis is just 1 shy of tying it and 2 from breaking it with 92 receptions for 1165 yds and 16 TD's well Sophomore Ezekiel Fogg has 88 receptions for 1201 yds and 11 TD..

What's interesting is Coach Matt Miller holds the Boise State Career record for receptions with 244.. If both of these players stick around and play a full 4 years at BSU both of these players could potentially pass Miller.

                      BRONCOS FALL SHORT YET AGAIN!!!
                      GAME RECAP

The Broncos are 4 for 4 in making the playoffs since it's arrival in 2024 but Boise State once again fails in their attempts at a run to the National Championship game. BSU led (7-6) at the end of the 1st Quarter and (21-13) at halftime but with the Georgia Defense committed to stopping the run game putting 7-8 guys in the box on almost every play, the Broncos were forced to throw the ball a season high 71 times, which lead to 2 costly turnovers.

Star RB Sire Gaines has been banged up the past month which has allowed former Georgia RB Roderick Robinson II a chance to shine as he has rushed for 8 touchdowns in the Broncos final 3 games.. Well Robinson didn't score today he did manage to grind out 64 yds on 21 carries to join Gaines as a 1000 yd rusher on the season. Gaines again is forced to leave the game after just 2 carries for 8 yds.

For Ohio State transfer Tavien St Clair it's been a historic season but not with the ending he was hoping for.. The Redshirt Sophomore has shined since taking over at QB with #'s that were Heisman worthy in most years without a guy named Tommy Trout. St Clair added to his already over 4000 yd 45 TD season by throwing for 461 yds and 4 TD's on the day but it was 2 costly INT's that ended the Broncos season. With St Clair slinging the rock 71 times, several Boise State WR's had huge games including both Bettis and Fogg who set new Boise State single season records.

Georgia opened the 2nd half with a touchdown to close the gap and after converting the 2pt play the Bulldogs had tied the game (21-21).. Georgia then held Boise State to a 33 yd FG to make it (24-21) before Redshirt Junior Air Norland throws his 3rd touchdown of the game to give the Bulldogs their first lead (28-24). St Clair's first INT of the game then allows Georgia to extend their lead to (35-24) with 3 minutes to play in 3rd Quarter. BSU then had to settle for a 50 yd FG by Freshman Diego Gutierrez making it (35-27) with 1:41 to play Georgia wasn't done though as Norland lives up to his name going to the "Air" and throwing his 4th touchdown of the game as RS O Landon Roldan (91 OveralL) hauls in his 3rd score the day giving him a "Hat trick" as Georgia extends the lead to (42-27) going into the 4th.

Another Boise State ends in a failed 4th and 1 conversion followed by another drive in which Guiterrez miss's a 38 yd FG.. It was only the 3rd FG missed by the True Freshman all season in 25 try's and his first miss inside 50 yds.

BSU would hold Georgia to a 38 yd FG making it (48-27) with 5 minutes to play.. St Clair would find Kelian Bettis on a 33 yd touchdown with with 3:13 to play in the game to make it (48-34).. For it was a historic catch as it gave the Redshirt Freshman the BSU single season record for both Receptions (104) and touchdowns (17) as he jumps past Tyler Shoemakers's record of 16.

The Boise State Defense after a great 1st half would show back up and hold Georgia to a punt but St Clair's 2nd INT of the game kills the drive with 1:48 to play. Georgia would force BSU to burn all 3 of their timeouts in order to get the ball back which BSU did with 28 seconds to play but down by 2 scores BSU had no chance.

                        PLAYOFF RESULTS

#5 Oklahoma State bounced back from their loss to Texas in the Big 12 title game with a (31-15) win over Big Ten Champion Michigan who couldn't keep their magic going.

The Cowboys then took care of business defeating another Big Ten opponent as they beat #4 Penn State (35-20) to advance to the Semi Finals.

8 Nebraska defeated #9 Tennessee (49-35) in the 1st Round and then shocked the nation as they defeated #1 Louisville (24-20) to win the Peach Bowl and advance for a matchup with Okie State.

#10 Miami defeated #7 Indiana (31-27) in Round 1 to advance but came up short against #2 Texas falling (26-24) in the Sugar Bowl as the Longhorns advance for a showdown with Georgia and a shot at the National Title.

Texas took care of business against the Bulldogs defeating Georgia (24-14) as Tommy Trout looks to cap off a historic season with a trip to the Natty..

8 Nebraska pulled off the upset defeating Oklahoma State who loses for just the 2nd time all season with a (28-3) victory.

TEXAS IS YOUR 2027 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!

Once Big 12 rivals, Nebraska and Texas have played some pretty big games over the years including a Big 12 title matchup in 2009 in which Texas went on to lose to Alabama.. This time though this game was for all the marbles and Tommy Trout delivered..

Trout would throw for 297 yds with 3 TD's leading the Longhorns to a (38-22) victory. Trout finished the season with 5689 yds passing with 44 TD's and just 5 INT.

                            JULIAN LEWIS JOINS THE PORTAL
The Big news this off-season was Colorado QB Julian Lewis joining the Portal. The former 5* Colorado Buffalo had over 35 scholarship offers out of high school and will have plenty of suitors as the #1 player in the Portal. Lewis however isn't the only highly touted QB to join the Portal this year and he isn't the only Colorado QB as the Buffalo's also lose 4* David Cooke.

Joining Lewis and Cooke is former Michigan QB Bryce Underwod.. A 5* QB and the #1 QB in his class, Underwood has scholarship offers from basically every D-1 school in the nation but after 2 years starting for the Wolverines the Redshirt Junior found himself injured and replaced in the Michigan Offense this past season as former Notre Dame starter CJ Carr returned home to lead the Wolverines to a Big Ten title throwing for 3362 yds with 25 TD and 4 INT.

Here is a list of some of the notable players in the Portal

5* QB Julian Lewis (Colorado) #1 Overall

As always RB is loaded with talent. with 14 of the Top-100 players in the portal and 28 in the Top-150.. Now the question is what RB might join Boise State to share the load with Sire Gaines next season?
