    MILLER LANDS #19 OVERALL CLASS!!!

Coach Matt Miller and his staff were busy in the off-season as they land 21 players in the final month of recruiting including 14 players from the Transfer Portal (2-4*,12-3*) giving them a Total Class of 28 players (1-5*, 8-4*,19-3*). The Class ranked #5 in the Portal and #3 in the Pac-12.

With just 1 QB returning to the roster next season landing some QB's was important and Miller landed 2 of them. 4* Tua Draft (#39 Overall) spent last season as a Ohio State Buckeye but follows in the footsteps of Tavien St Clair and is heading to Boise were he will challenge for the starting role next season. Tua is originally from Spokane Washington and as also being heavily recruiting by former Boise State HC Spencer Danielson at Washington

Also joining Boise State is 3* Athlete/QB Tyrone Waddle (#834 Overall/#71 QB)..

Boise State the past 4 seasons have added a RB out of the Portal and once again were a popular choice by several RB's in the Portal but at the end of the day Miller decided to stick with Bo Jackson as his RB1 next season.. Jackson played well as the Broncos #2/#3 RB behind Sire Gaines sharing backup duties with Dylan Riley and Miller will role with a group of talented Redshirt Freshman behind him well allowing him to redshirt (3) 4* High School Recruits this season. 4*Keshawn Parms (#90 Overall/#8 RB), 4* Jason Whitted (#214 Overall/#22 RB) and 4* Leati Faalele (#262 Overall/#37 RB).

    Miller
"Honestly we had several long discussions with several guy's in the Portal including USC Transfer Shawn Ghee who ran for over 1000 yds and score 12 TD's last season (Ghee signed with Tennessee) but at the end of the day we love our RB room and believe we could already have the next Sire Gaines on our roster"
Boise State returns a very talented WR room including Kelian Bettis who has produced over 3000 yds and scored 38 TD's the past 2 seasons but that didn't stop Miller from adding the "Best WR" in the Transfer Portal as he signs former Washington Husky Rocky Riggins (#9 Overall/#1 WR). The 4* is listed at 6'4 215lbs and is a RS Sophomore who will have 2 years of eligibility for the Broncos. Last season Riggins posted 58 rec for 899 yds and 10 TD's for the Huskies.

BSU lost it's Top-2 TE's last season including Joey Olsen who finished with over 1000 yds.. Miller once again went to the Portal as he looked to find another potential #1 TE as he signed 3* Corbin Laisure who has produced 53 receptions for 590 yds and 1 TD the past 2 seasons for Colorado. He also landed 3* Kellan Ford from Arizona.. Ford only had 5 rec for 30 yds last season but in 2027 he recorded 67 rec for 688 yds and 6 TD's as the starter for the Wildcats.

This year's Top Recruit in the class was 5* LT Marvin Bulaga and 4* C Moses Eagles 4* OG Kevin Goodley and 4* Johnathan Daniels , but that didnt' stop Miller from landing 3* OG Dashaun Moffett as well as adding 3* T Brad English from Buffalo in the Portal.

    Miller
    "
We return all 5 starters from last year's O-Line but we feel like this year's class we landed 4 future starters.. English will give us a solid backup at LT next year and allow us to Redshirt Bulaga so he can have a full 4 years to start. Right now our plan is to actually redshirt all 5 incoming Freshman and give them a chance to be 3-4 year starters for us."
Last year Boise State graduated it's Top-5 D-Lineman, leaving a big hole going into this year's spring game, but Miller was able to land former UL Monroe Warhawk Jason Sweet who record 9 TFL and 6.5 Sacks last season and also added veteran Aric Daniels.. Daniels has been a frequent member of the transfer portal. Originally from Kernersville North Carolina, Daniels started out as a UNC Tarheel in 2026 where he recorded 20 Tackles with 8 TFL and 4.5 Sacks. But in 2027 he left for Kansas State recording just 1 Tackle for the Wildcats. Then in 2028 he went back home and played for NC State recording 21 Tackles.. Now he is headed to Boise where he is projected to start for the Broncos. Miller was unable to land any DT's in the Portal but did manage to come away with a pair of 3* High School recruits in G. Bradford and B. Boyette who are projected to redshirt as BSU does return JR Matt Littlejohn and former 4* Callum Johnson who is expected to start after Redshirting last season as a True Freshman.

3 Bronco Linebackers entered the Portal this offseason but 2 of them decided to return. (Will LB Joseph Keenoy and Mike LB Devonta Cushehberry) but that didnt' stop Miller from landing 2 more talented LB's in the Portal as well. RS FR Elias Incogintio and SR Donte Duck. Duck was a starter at Nebraska last season posting 81 Tackles with 8 TFL and 3 Sacks.

Boise State had it's Top-3 CB's from last season returning but that didn't stop Miller and the staff from landing a pair a Senior Transfers as well as landing a pair of 3* Freshman as well. Chris Holmes was a 2 year starter at Marshall recording over 60 Tackles each season and 9 INT's including a team high 6 in 2027. He transfered to Northern Illinois in 2028 and posted 58 Tackles and 2 INT's for the Huskies. Ezekiel Avery started his career at Wisconsin before spending the past 2 seasons at Utah, where he was a starter last season posting 42 Tackles.

BSU is returning it's Top-2 FS in Seniors T. Robinson and Rachaad Ray who combined for over 100 Tackles last season but that didn't stop them from landing 3* Joey Wayne.. Wayne a RS Junior posted 66 Tackles with 5 TFL, 1.5 Sacks and 1 INT last year for Texas Tech.

PK Diego Gutierrez has been one of the best PK in the country the past 2 seasons. He hit 22/25 (88%) as a True Freshman including a long of 52 yds. Then last season as a Sophomore, he hit 21/26 (80%) including a new career long 53 yds (twice).. However that didn't stop Miller from adding 3* Cedric Eagles from West Linn Oregon.. Eagles was the #1 PK in this year's class.

        LETS GOOOOOO

Late to the party but grats on the Natty Deuce! Always feels good to get that first one. I was able to get my first one four seasons in on my new one, but haven't been back since.

Rough bit of luck with Applewhite peacing out right after TSC. Hopefully the new Tua can fill some pretty big shoes in Boise. But the RB room looks pretty stocked so worst case scenario, you guys kick if old school next season

Tua comes in as a 84 Overall with 92 THP but doesn't have great Awareness or Accuracy.. Deonte Todd the USC transfer I got last year in the portal develops into a 84 Overall as well. He doesn't have as good of arm but he runs better and has better Accuracy and Awareness.. So they are going to battle it out for the starting job. Crazy part is both are Lefty's.

My RB room is deep and Todd runs well too so yeah I probably will lean on the run game alot this season..

It's interesting. I thought I was going to go deep in the playoffs in Year 2 with Maddux as a Senior but Indiana surprised me in the playoffs.. So it was good to get one finally. I had a offer to go to Ohio State just like in last year's game but turned it down.. Ohio State ended up hiring Dan Lanning from Oregon and now the Ducks have the Florida Gator OC as their HC. If Coach D had stayed in Boise I probably would've take Miller somewhere to build his career but for now it looks like the place is Boise.. This Dynasty might just stay a Boise State thread and at some point I might start a new one with a new coach at a small school.

By the way where are you posting your Dynasty???

            #2 Tennessee (92/94/89)

            #16 Ole Miss (89/91/86)
            #17 Arizona State (82/84/81)
            #18 Oklahoma (89/89/89)
            #19 Duke (82/84/81)
            #20 Clemson (97/99/94)
            #21 UNC (87/86/89)

            #22 TCU (85/86/84)
            23 SMU (82/84/81)
            24 Cal (81/81/81)
            #25 Alabama (97/99/94)

The Top-25 is loaded this year.. I can't believe that Alabama starts #25 despite a 97 Overall and a 99 Offense.. Same with Clemson at #20.. Also super crazy to see Notre Dame with 99's across the board, yet ranked #11.

            HEISMAN TALK
Michigan transfer QB Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele headlines the Heisman Talk. the RS Senior is coming off leading Michigan to a Big Ten Championship and a spot in the National Championship against Boise State. Saga threw for 4634 yds with 42 TD and 8 TD's well rushing for 300+ yds and 6 scores after starting his career at Cal.

Houston's Akili Smith JR spent several weeks in the Heisman talk last year. The son of former Oregon QB and NFL Top-10 pick Akili Smith SR, Junior passed for 3924 yds with 36 TD and 3 INT last year for the Cougars.

Redshirt Senior QB Matt Zollers has had a interesting career.. He started it in Missouri in 2026 throwing for 3335 yds with 28 TD and 9 INT. He then left for Notre Dame where he threw for 3642 yds with 35 TD and 7 INT before returning to Missouri in 2028 leading the Tigers with 3522 yds with 27 TD and 7 INT. Now he is in his final season at SMU in a offense known for producing some big time stats.

RS SR QB Keelon Russell has also had a interesting career. Russell threw for 1974 yds with 13 TD and 4 INT as a Freshman, but then appeared in just 2 games in 2026 and 4 games in 2027 for Alabama before transfering to Georgia in 2028.. He started all 13 games for the Bulldogs throwing for 4318 yds with 43 TD and 10 INT well also rushing for 343 yds and 6 scores.

              Week 4 at Arizona
              Week 5 "Bye"
              Week 6 "Bye"

              Week 12 vs #10 Oregon
              Week 13 at Colorado

The Broncos will play 2 tough road games to start the year @ Nebraska and TCU but even if BSU falls in 1 of the 2 matchups, the Broncos should be able to put together a late run in the Pac-12 schedule to make a repeat run at the playoffs and a Top-4 seed.. Week 12 vs #10 Oregon
will be their final big test.. The Game however will be Boise State's "Senior Night" and with 23 Seniors on this year's roster they will have some extra incentive to go out as winners in their final home game on "The Blue"

              THE OFFENSE
              (RS=Already Redshirted, (R)=Redshirting this season (#)=Player's Overall)

QB RS SO Devonte Todd (84)
QB RS SO Tua Draft (84)

QB RS JR Brian Epenesa (78)
QB (R) FR Tyrone Waddle (71)

Todd will be the Week 0 starter but against Nevada, Coach Miller will also try and get a look at Draft and potentially even get Epenesa some PT. Epenesa is a former 3* who originally joined the portal but returned to BSU after not signing with another school. Todd is a former USC transfer who appeared in 1 game last season well Draft is a former Ohio State transfer who joined BSU this past off-season, well Waddle was a 3* recruit in this past recruiting class.

RB RS SR Bo Jackson (85)
RB RS SR Greg Ard (85)
              RS FR Tyler Fry (82)
              RS FR Randall Amerson (81)
              RS FR Jermarcus Boykins (80)
              (R) FR Jason Whitted (78)
              (R) FR Keshawn Parms (78)
              (R) Leati Faalele (76)

Jackson started his career at Ohio State logging 2 carries before going to San Jose State where he rushed 179 times for 995 yds with 12 TD''s. He then transfered to San Diego State but appeared in just 5 games rushing for 74 yds and 1 TD. Last season as the Broncos #2/#3 RB sharing time with Dylan Riley behind Sire Gaines, Jackson ran the ball 95 times for 592 yds (6.2 avg) and scored 8 TD's. Ard is a former 3* recruit, who has seen limited carries over the past 3 years logging 67 carries for 331 yds and 5 TD's. Fry and Amerson are both former 4* Recruits who redshirted last season but Fry did appear in 1 game logging 9 carries for 58 yds.. Boykins is a former 4* WR recruit who moved to RB and could see some PT this season as a 3rd down back. Whitted/Parms/Faalele were all 4* Recruits in this past year's class and are expected to push the 3 RS Freshman for the starting role after Jackson/Ard graduate unless Miller brings in a transfer portal player next season.

FB RS SR Clayton Boswell (79)
FB RS FR Tobias Teague (71)

Both players are former TE's who moved to FB. Boswell is listed at 6'7 252lbs and is basically another O-Lineman blocking in the run game. He has no career rushing stats but does have 4 receptions for 47 yds Teague redshirted last season.

WR RS JR Rocky Riggins (92)
WR RS SR Ezekiel Fogg (91)
WR RS JR Kelian Bettis (86)
WR RS FR Keshaun Buckner (86)
WR RS JR Dennis Moses (83)
WR RS JR Arthur Wing (82)
WR RS SO Evan Qualls (82)
WR RS FR Conner Friesz (79)
WR RS FR Kyle Harmon (76)

Riggins is a transfer from Washington who put up 58 rec for 899 yds and 10 TD's for Coach D and the Huskies, Fogg logged 101 rec for 1364 yds and 12 TD's as a Sophomore but so those #'s slipped to 55 rec for 654 yds and 4 TD last season with the emergence of Cameron Bates and TE Joey Olsen.. Bettis is a 2 time 1000 yd receiver who won the Fred Biletnikoff last season as he broke multiple Pac-12 and Boise State records with 128 rec for 1808 yds and 21 TD. His 3000+ yds and 38 TD's over the past 2 years will put him in the record books again once his career ends as he looks to surpass his own Coach Matt Miller this season with career receptions. Buckner redshirted last year but moves into the #4 role this season well Moses and Wing will share the #5 role. Moses had 17 rec for 318 yds and 2 TD last season but had over 1000 return yards as Boise's #1 Kick and Punt returnman.

TE RS SR Corbin Laisure (83)
TE RS SR Kellan Ford (82)
TE RS SO Roy Carney (78)

Laisure is a former Colorado Buffalo transfer well Ford came from Arizona. All 3 are big targets listed at 6'5 240.. Carney will most likely be the starter in 2030 well Laisure appears to have beaten out Ford for the #1 role this season.

OT RS SR J. Tracy (79)
OT RS SR B English (75)
OT RS SO V. Westbrook (82)
OT RS JR J. Ahlers (80)
              OT (R) FR M. Bulaga (76)
OT RS FR Q. Winston (78)
              OT (R) FR J. Daniels (81)

Tracy and Ahlers started last season but Westbrook had a big spring game (training) and could push Ahleres at RT. English is a transfer from Buffalo and will be a primary backup well Bulaga, Daniels and Winston are the future along with Westbrook.

OG RS SR C. Gooden (90)
OG RS JR T. Coxie (85)
OG RS SO B. Devoe (76)
OG RS SO T. Koppen (91)
OG RS SR C. Rozman (75)
              OG (R) FR K. Goodley (75)
              OG (R) FR D. Moffett (67)

Gooden and Koppen were both starters last year, Coxie will be the primary backup.. Goodley is a former 4* well Moffett was a 3* Green Gem who will look to be future starters.

              C RS JR B. Chancey (87)
              C RS JR K. Gofen (77)
              C RS JR S. Luck (75)
              C (R) FR M. Eagles (77)

              THE DEFENSE

DE RS JR J. Sweet (82)
DE RS JR M. Pack (78)
DE RS SR M. Westy (75)
DE RS SR A. Daniels (85)
DE RS SR B. Bol (76)
DE RS SO E. Labron (75)
DE RS FR R. Dimke (69)

DT RS JR M. Littlejohn (83)
DT RS FR C. Johnson (82)
DT RS SO M. Angel (76)
              DT (R) FR G. Bradford (71)
              DT (R) FR B. Boyett (69)

It's a whole new starting unit. Daniels is own his 4th team since joining BSU, well Sweet and Pack are also former transfers. Westy and Bol are among the last of the original roster when I started the Dynasty... Landing some impact pass rush in this year's class either high school kids or the portal will be a top priority for Miller and the staff. Sweet is the returning leader in sacks after logging 6.5 last year for UL Monroe.

LB RS JR TJ Bryant (84)
LB RS JR M. Nwangwu (89)
              LB SR D. Cushenberry (84)
LB RS FR E. Incognito (84)
LB RS SR M. Tuioti (79)
LB RS JR J. Keenoy (87)
LB RS SR D. Duck (87)
LB RS SO L. Tiffin (82)
LB RS JR D. Bear (81)
              LB (R) SO R. Capps (77)

This unit got a huge boost when both Nwangwu, Cushenberry, Keenoy all pulled their names from the Portal but that didn't stop Miller from adding Duck, Incognito and Capps from the portal.. TJ Bryant is a former 4* Athlete recruit who could move to TE and Denton Baer could move to DE next season. Cushenberry has over 180 career tackles, well Tuioti has 110, Nwangwu has 95, Duck has 91 and Kennoy has 87.

              CB SR K. Marks (88)
CB RS SR C. Holmes (87)
              CB SR N. Muma (86)
              CB SR E. Avery (83)
CB RS SR D. Calhoun (80)
CB RS SO K. Darnold (78)
              CB (R) FR T. Simms (69)
              CB (R) FR M. Dishman (68)

Adding Holmes and Avery to a already very talented Senior group. Darnold is former 4* would start next season if he sticks around. CB is a primary recruiting position at both the high school level and the Portal with 5 of the teams 23 Seniors. Marks led the team in INT last year with 6 well also logging 99 tackles.. Calhoun actually leads the team in career tackles with 215 and also has 6 career INT's. Holmes is a transfer from Marshall/N. Illinois and has 11 career INT's.

FS RS SR T. Robinson (81)
FS RS JR J. Wayne (80)
FS RS SO T. Crick (76)
FS RS SO E. Cookus (76)

SS RS SR R. Ray (80)
SS RS SO D. Clayborn (78)
SS RS JR I. Meadowns (77)
SS RS FR N. Kohou (73)

Robinson and Ray were both starters last year. Ray a transfer from USC had 92 Tackles last year well Robinson is a former 3* Recruit who has 82 career tackles.

              SPECIAL TEAMS
              PK JR Diego Gutierrez (79)
              PK (R) FR C. Eagles (78)
              P RS SO M. Lauderdale (81)

Gutierrez has been solid his first 2 years at BSU knocking down 84% of his FG's (43/51) including multiple from 50+ where 4 of his 8 miss's have also come (still over 50% from 50+)
Eagles was the #1 Recruit in this year's class and will redshirt but could be a 3 year starter after Guity graduates.. Lauderdale had 38 career punts for 1506 yds (39.6 avg.

              ROSTER BREAKDOWN

This year's roster is full at 85 players. Of the 85 players 23 are Seniors, 20 are Juniors, 16 are Sophomores and 26 are a combined Redshirted and Redshirting Freshman.
Of the 23 Seniors, 10 are on Offense including 4 players on the 0-Line and 2 of the team's Top-3 TE's. and the Top-2 RB's. However with a combined 6 RS/R FR RB's, replacing the O-line and TE position will be key priorities in recruiting. Of the 13 Seniors on Defense 7 are DB's making CB the #1 position to recruit this year. 3 are LB's and 3 are D-Lineman. Pass rush and keeping underclassman LB's from transfering is also huge needs.

NO ST CLAIR NO GAINES NO PROBLEM!!
                GAME RECAP
With QB Tavien St Clair and RB Sire Gaines now playing on Sunday's, not just Bronco fan's wondered what type of offense we might see from Boise State this year.

Ohio State QB Tua Draft actually got the start at QB and looked decent in the 1st Quarter helping Boise State to a 3-0 lead at the end after 2 drives stalled and were shutdown on 4th and short plays.

Nevada would actually tie the game to open up the 2nd Quarter (3-3) but BSU would make a change at QB with Devonte Todd taking over. Todd would ignite the Bronco Offense throwing 3 touchdowns including a 52 yd bomb to Colorado transfer Corbin Laisure who looked great as the new #1 TE.

BSU went into halftime leading (24-10) after the Wolfpack scored a late touchdown. Todd got the start in the 2nd half but would throw 2 early INT's leading to Tua Draft re-entering the game at QB. With the passing game struggling, Boise State turned to the ground game and would score big as Bo Jackson shows off his big play ability with a 81 yd touchdown run. RS FR Tyler Fry would cap off another drive with a short 4 yd TD run before Draft would connect on a pair of passing scores as he hits Laisure for his 2nd TD of the game and then finds Bo Jackson on a fly route for a 37 yd score as Boise State jumps out to commanding (51-17) lead going into the 4th.

The Broncos who led the nation in scoring last year at 54 PPG with multiple games over 70 points hit it again in as BSU scores 3 more times in the 4th as 3rd string QB Brian Epenesa completes 7/10 attempts for 100 yds including a 15 yd score to Washington transfer Rocky Riggins. and then it was the Greg Ard show. The Redshirt Senior would add 2 scores taking snaps out of the Wildcat formation late in the 4th Quarter and Ard would even complete his first and only pass attempt as well.

Jackson and Ard were not the only Bronco RB's who looked good today (Both over 100 yds) .. Redshirt Freshman Jermacus Boykins who came to BSU as a WR had a solid day with 62 yds of Total Offense (31 rushing/31 receiving) including his first touchdown of the season.

For the Day BSU would tally 843 yds of Offense (333 rushing and 510 passing) with 10 TD's (4 rushing/6 passing).

The Boise State Offense wasn't the only members of the team making plays today though. SR CB Kenny Marks led the team with 6 INT last year and starts strong this year with his first INT and SR FS T. Robinson also picks off Nevada QB Jack Stolt, well RS FR Elias Incognito records 3 sacks on the day.

By the way where are you posting your Dynasty???
lefty QBs oh lawd - dunno if you remember but I flamed out with the only lefty I ever tried. Haven't gone to one since.

dynastysports.net is the place I'm posting at now. Ended up over there when OS was constantly down during the upgrade. Lots of guys from VSN/DSS if you were ever there.

Rough start for the QBs in the opener. Maybe Espensa is the guy going forward?

Well Boise has a history of having good lucky with Lefty QB's (Kellen Moore) I mean 500 yds and 4 TD's isn't to bad. Duff started out slow but he did lead 3 scoring drives that ended with 2 TD's. Todd is basically a clone of St Clair who just graduated.. Same size and running ability.. He is only a RS SO so he just needs some reps.. I threw 13 INT's last year with St Clair and 10 the year before, so I am sure once I settle down, he will be fine.. I am going to start Todd against Nebraska but want to play Duff too. Espensa is only a 78 Overall but does actually have 88 speed so he is the fastest of the 3 and is the only righty so he could get some more PT if I struggle.. I will check out the site. Always enjoy following your threads.

                      GAME RECAP

Boise State proved their Week 0 win wasn't a fluke and despite not having St Clair at QB and Sire Gaines and Dylan Riley at RB and 1000 yd receivers Cameron Bates and Joey Olsen that this year's offense is still as high powered as ever.

BSU jumped out to a early 14-0 lead in the 1st Quarter and overcame (2) 1st half INT's by QB Deonte Todd to take a (34-14) lead into half time. Todd despite his 2 INT"s still had a huge 1st half throwing for 400 yds with 3 Touchdowns including a pair to Keilan Bettis who continues to add his name to record books.

Tua Draft opened up at QB in the 2nd half and would play the entire 2nd half showing off his ability to continue to lead the offense as completed 12/16 pass's for 101 yds including a nice 17 yd score to Ezekiel Fogg. Draft's only mistake on the day was a fumble midway through the 4th Quarter that led to a Cornhusker touchdown with BSU leading 52-28 to make it a 2 score game but a failed onside kick would lead to a BSU 48 yd FG in the final seconds as the Broncos move to 2-0 on the season.

BRONCOS FALL SHORT IN TEXAS SHOOTOUT!!
                        GAME RECAP
Boise State moved to 8 after their 2-0 start and coming off their big win in Lincoln traveled south to Fort Worth to take on the #20 (1-0) TCU. The Horn Frogs led by Heisman candidate QB RS JR Brian Cunningham (93 ovr) opened up their season with a (35-14) win over Texas Southern (FCS).

Boise State jumped out to a early (14-0) lead as Tua Draft gets the start at QB.. Draft would throw a pair of touchdowns including a 17 yd TD to Kelian Bettis who becomes the Pac-12 All-time leader in TD's with his 42nd TD of his career.

TCU however would answer back as they tie the game on the opening drive of the 2nd Quarter. Both teams would trade scores again but with 23 seconds to play in the half Cunningham throws his 3rd touchdown of the half hitting RS JR WR Duane Dobbs (89 ovr) on a 17 yd strike to give the home team the (28-21) lead going into the locker room.

Draft would lead the Broncos onto the field to start the 2nd half and quickly lead BSU down the field to tie the game (28-28) on a nice 11 play drive as he throws his 4th touchdown of the day as Ezekiel Fogg completes the hat trick with his 3rd touchdown catch of the day.

Cunningham however answers back with his 4th TD of the day as the Horn Frogs tie the game yet again.. Then after forcing BSU to a punt, Cunningham goes back to work but this time with his legs as he completes a 9 play drive with a 23 yd touchdown run as TCU takes the lead (35-28).

Another forced punt gives TCU the ball back and again Cunningham takes over as the Redshirt Junior scores his 6th TD of the day capping a 9 play drive with his 2nd rushing touchdown of the game to make it (42-28) going into the 4th.

Trailing by 2 scores Coach Miller knew the Broncos would need to score and get multiple stops in order to stay perfect.. The Broncos started strong has Draft throws his 5th TD of the day finding Washington transfer Rocky Riggins on a 17 yd strike to make it (42-35).. Then after forcing a fumble BSU would get the ball back and quickly score as Redshirt Freshman Tyler Fry scores his 2nd touchdown of the season with a 6 yd run to make it (42-41)..

Coach Miller would make a interesting call though with 4:58 to play by sending out the offense for the 2pt play instead of going for the XPT and tying the game. The plan backfires as TCU comes up with the stop leaving the Broncos down by 1.

Cunningham who had been the hero all day finally let's his teammates help carry the lead as TCU runs 3 minutes off the clock on their way to touchdown #7 as FR RB Tommy Kush scores on a 27 yd run to make it (49-41) with 1:18 to play.

Still armed with 1 timeout, Draft would connect on a pair of throws to push the Broncos past the 50 but the drive would stall as Bettis drops a key 3rd and 8 play setting up 4th down and long. Boise State already 1/1 on 4th down conversions on the day would have to go for it as a Field Goal wouldn't help but the TCU Defense was ready as they sack Draft for a 3rd time on the day.

                        INJURY PLAYER REPORT

Both TE C. Laisure and RB G. Ard missed most of the game against TCU but both players are cleared and should be ready to return to the field against the Huskies. However starting DT Matt Littlejohn (8 Tackles 4 TFL) will miss the next 4 weeks with a Fractured Forearm..

Also it is official moving forward Tua Draft will be the Broncos starting QB with Deonte Todd now officially listed as the #2.. Well Todd has shown the ability to run the offense and does boast a bigger arm, he has also shown his ability to throw INT with 4 in the first 2 games of the season.. Draft has a "Impact" Dev trait well Todd is set to to Normal.

MILLER IMPROVES TO 3-0 AGAINST COACH D!!
                          GAME RECAP
Coach Matt Miller and the Boise State Broncos improved to 3-0 against former Boise State HC Spencer Danielson but it took a 4th Quarter comeback in order to do it.

BSU jumped out to a early (10-0) lead in the 1st Quarter and would lead at the half (24-14) but Coach D and the Huskies battled back scoring 21 unanswered in the 3rd Quarter as Bronco QB Tua Draft throws his first INT of the season helping Washington to a (35-24) lead going into the 4th.

Washington led by former Utah QB Bradley Livas (88 Ovr) would extend the lead to (42-24) early in the 4th Quarter as Livas throws his 5th touchdown of the day but then it was BSU who would score 3 straight to close out the game.. Draft would rebound from his earlier INT with a pair of touchdowns to close the gap to (42-38) with less then 3 minutes to play and then it was the Boise State Defense coming up big as JR LB James Keenroy picks off Livas as BSU takes over with 2:11 to play on the clock..

BSU would then turn to RB Bo Jackson who would carry the ball 5 times for 48 yds including a 6 yd touchdown run to give the Broncos the lead (44-42). Once again Coach Miller would make a controversial call as he elects to keep the offense on the field to attempt the 2pt play. This time Draft delivers as BSU extends their lead to 4 points. with 18 seconds to play i the game. The plan worked to perfection as Washington was out of timeouts and now needed a touchdown to win vs a FG to tie.

                          Coach Miller
I know had we not converted the Huskies could've kicked a FG to win but this way now they need 80 yds on 18 seconds and it was a risk I was felt was worth taking.

BRONCOS DOMINATE WILDCAT FOR WIN #4

                            Game Recap
Arizona opened their year with a (48-7) win over Hawaii before losing 2 straight to Washington State (34-33) and Virginia Tech (42-17) before rebounding with a big win over Air Force (42-14).

The Wildcats would start strong scoring on the opening drive to take a (7-0) lead but Boise State responded with 31 unanswered points to close out the half as Tua Draft throws 4 touchdowns including 3 scores in the 2nd Quarter as BSU goes into the locker room up (31-7).

Both Defenses played well in the 3rd Quarter as both teams fail to convert points to the scoreboard. But BSU finally breaks the scoring draught as Diego Gutierrez connects on a 32 yd FG to make it (34-7).

Arizona's Offense struggles continue as the Wildcats go 0/3 on 4th down conversions leading to another Bronco score as RS FR Tyler Fry scores his 4th rushing touchdown of the season as he ties Bo Jackson for the team lead.

Arizona finished the night with just 309 yds of Total Offense (62 rushing/247 passing).

                              BOISE STATE TEAM REPORT

                              TOP-25
With Boise State's back to back win's after their Week 2 loss to TCU, the Broncos have climbed back to #13 in the rankings with their (4-1) record. The Broncos still have a huge game left on the schedule as they will face currently #3 ranked (5-0) Oregon in Week 13 as well as road games at (4-1) Washington and (3-2) Colorado.. If the Broncos can manage to pull off the win over the Ducks who Miller is currently (1-4) Overall as a HC/OC, it's safe to say BSU should still have a legit shot at making the playoffs for a 6th straight year.

                              DRAFT APPEARS LOCKED IN
Boise State opened the season playing all 3 active QB's on their roster in Week 0 vs Nevada.. Then RS SO Deonte Todd got the start in the Broncos Week 1 win over Nebraska but despite 640 yds and 6 TD's Todd's 4 INT's in 2 games opened the door for fellow RS Tua Draft to start his 2nd game @ TCU.. Despite the loss to the Horn Frogs, Draft played well throwing for 470 yds and 5 TD's earning the starting job again the following week.

Now through 5 games has completed 106/159 (66%) of his passes for 1472 yds with 16 TD and 1 INT, leaving many to wonder just how long Todd will stick around being satisfied as the team's #2.

                              GROUND ATTACK
Bo Jackson has become the clear cut #1 RB this season taking over for Sire Gaines after 4 seasons as he leads the team with 91 carries for 486 yds (5.3 avg) and a team leading 4 TD's.

However the #2 role isn't quite as defined. Fellow SR Greg Ard had 37 carries for 135 yds and 3 TD's but has pretty much disappeared the past 2 weeks opening up the door for a pair of Redshirt Freshman in Jermarcus Boykins and Tyler Fry.

Boykins has become a asset on the ground (23 carries 96 yds 4.2 avg) as well as the passing game 12 rec 117 yds/9.8 avg) well scoring 1 TD.

Fry is the biggset RB on the roster at 6'1 211 lbs and has taken to his role as a power back near the goal line scoring 4 touchdowns on just 9 carries (39 yds/4.3 avg).

                              RECORD SETTING YEAR
Keilan Bettis is a hometown start. The Redshirt Junior is a former 4* Gatorade HS All-American born and raised in Boise playing at Capital High School. He made his debut in 2026 appearing in 2 games recording 8 rec for 122 yds (15.3 avg) catching a touchdown. Then as a Redshirt Freshman Bettis set a new Boise State record recording 104 receptions for 1279 yds and 17 Touchdowns. Bettis then shattered those records the following season ending the year with 128 receptions for 1808 yds and 21 TD's setting not only Boise State records but new Pac-12 records as well.

Now through 5 games Bettis already recorded 31 receptions for 475 yds with 7 TD's surpassing his coach Matt Miller's career Reception record with 271 and counting and the Boise State Touchdown record with 46 and counting as well as a new Career Receiving Yards record with 3684 yds and counting..

Bettis isn't only rewriting the Boise State record book but has also already put his name in the Pac-12 record book as well with single season records of 21 TD's but now has added the career TD record with 46 and counting. He is also just 363 yds shy of beating Troy Waters record of 4047 yds set at Stanford and is 47 receptions shy of Washington State's Gabe Marks's record of 316.

                                BOISE STATE RECRUITING RECAP

Even before Coach Matt Miller took over a Head Coach, Boise State has made it a tradition of starting out slow in the Recruiting season, typically signing players in Week 10-13 before building the bulk of their class through Off-Season Recruiting and the Portal.

Miller in his 2 year's as Head Coach has brought in over 20 players via the Portal including a career high 13 last season that ranked #5 Overall in the nation on Portal Recruits and a Top-20 Class Overall.

Coming off a undefeated and National Championship season ,Boise State's early interest among 5* talent was strong however now 6 weeks into the season, Miller once again has yet to sign a single player and is starting to see players commit to other schools and or remove Boise State from their Top-3 list.

5* All-American CB Fetu Yanda the #1 Player in this year's class is one of those players. Ranked as the #1 CB and the Gatorade POY from California, Yanda had Boise State in his Top-10 list of schools to start the season and at one point BSU had climbed to #3 on his list but the 5'11 207lb DB from Yorba Linda CA announced his week he has cut his list of schools down to (2).. Clemson currently is #1 and slated to host in Week 9 well LSU is #2 and is scheduled for Week 10.

5* All-American DT J.D. Kenyon is another.. Listed as the 8 Overall and the #1 DT as well as Texas Gatorade POY.. Kenyon is listed at 6'1 298lbs from Eastland and has narrowed his list down to 3 schools (2 instate and 1 out of state).. TCU currently leads the list at #1 and has a Week 8 visit scheduled. Ohio State is #2 and will host in Week 13 well Texas A&M is #3 and will host in Week 13. ***Kenyon visited in Week 5 during the first of the 2 "Bye" Weeks as BSU officially finished #4 ahead of Texas.

4* RT Quinn Punga (#139 Overall/#9 WA/#14 OT) has made his commit official.. The 6'7 294lb Tackle from Burien WA will stay home and play for Coach D and the Huskies.

Well those 3 players are officially off Boise State's radar, Coach Miller is still in the hunt for several Big Time players including 5 players in the Top-25 and another 7 players in the Top-100 including a potential star RB and possibly a one of the top QB's in this year's clas.

5* RB Brian Crum (#5 Overall/#1 RB) is the Utah Gatorade POY. Listed at 5'11 215lbs from Salt Lake City, Crum currently has BSU #1 with a Week 8 visit scheduled and has Texas #2, followed by Notre Dame, Michigan and Oregon narrowed his list down to 5 schools.

5* QB Jamie Cuevas (#12 Overall/#2 QB/#2 WA) is listed at 6'1 214lbs from Seattle WA.. Cuevas currently has BSU #1 after a Week 6 visit but still has a Top-5 list that includes Arizona State #2 (Week 9), Ohio State #3 (Week 13) and Penn State #4 (Week 8).

5* QB Thomas Harris (#17 Overall/#3QB/#3 WA) is listed at 6'5 196lbs from Tacoma WA. Harris currently also has BSU #1 and will visit in Week 8, but he still has Oregon #2 (Week 13) as well as Tennessee, Texas and Alabama in his Top-5.

5* RT DeAndre Tull (#16 Overall/#2 CA/#3 OT) is listed at 6'4 302 lbs from San Bernadino CA.. Tull currently has BSU #1 followed by Clemson, Michigan, Notre Dame and Oregon in his Top-5 with all but Notre Dame offering scholarships.

5* DE Tony McCarthy (#23 Overall/#3 OH/#3 DE) is listed at 6'3 244lbs from Reynoldsburg OH.. He has BSU #1 and a Week 11 visit scheduled with Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and LSU in his Top-5 but the Buckeyes and Tigers have not made a official offer.

4* OG Danny St John (#39 Overall/#2 OG) is the Idaho's Gatorade POY.. Listed at 6'4 291lbs from Coeur D Alene Idaho. St John has BSU #1 and a Week 10 visit scheduled with Oregon #2 (also offering) Tennessee, Florida and Michigan make up his Top-5 but the last 3 have not offered.
