To be honest I am shocked. When I hired Arroyo, I switched up my offense from using the Texas A&M Power Spread to using UAB's Spread Offense.. I like it cause it added in a couple Wildcat and a Wishbone set but also still kept alot of Shotgun, Pistol and the I Form/Strong I which I found to be my bread and butter last year with FIU/Ohio State's run game.
When St Clair left and Gaines graduated I figured I would have some drop off but Draft plays so much better then his #'s would indicated and Jackson has been taken over as RB1.. I am excited though to see what RB's step up next year... I am sure I will have some guy's in the transfer portal interested but I am really liking Boykins and am excited to pair him with either Fry one of the other 4* guy's I signed the past 2 years or who knows maybe Crum comes in and becomes the guy Day 1. It helps having a Trio of WR's I have in Bettis/Fogg and Riggins. Fogg will graduate but I still have Buckner who I tried getting some reps with the past couple games and he is going to be good too. It also helps that the Defense despite not getting a ton of turnovers forces alot of quick 3 and outs which gives the Offense alot of reps.

SOUTHERN MISS FINALLY GETS IT'S CHANCE!!
Southern Mississippi has done it... After a (42-35) victory over Memphis to win the back to back CUSA titles, the Golden Eagles finish the year (13-0) the only undefeated team in the country and will finally get it's chance to play in the College Football Playoffs as the 12 seed.
Their reward is a trip to South Florida where they will take on #5 (11-2) Miami.. The Hurricanes won that ACC Championship with a commanding (59-24) victory over Duke and will now look to try and run the Cinderella story that is Southern Miss.
The SEC Championship featured #1 Georgia and #2 Clemson and the game lived up to it's billing as Georgia comes from behind to win (49-44) in a game that featured SR QB Keelon Russell throwing 3 INT's. in the win. With the win the Bulldogs secure the #1 seed leaving the Tigers to wait and see how far they fall.
The Big 12 Championship ending was exactly what Boise State and Clemson were hoping for as #3 Oklahoma falls to Baylor (45-43) in a thrilling triple OT game that included Baylor scoring 21 unanswered in the 4th Quarter to tie the game. With the loss the Sooners drop to #7 in the rankings securing the #7 seed.. Despite the win Baylor only moved up to #21 and for the first time since the playoff era was introduced the Big 12 Champion will not play in the 12 team playoff.
With the Sooners dropping to #7, and Boise State's win in the Pac-12 Championship, the Broncos jump to #2 in the final rankings securing the #2 seed well Clemson drops to #3 with their loss to the Bulldogs claiming the #3 seed.
Penn State's (31-24) win over Nebraska helped the Nittany Lions jump from #6 to #4 as they secure the final 1st Round Bye.. With the loss the Cornhuskers now (9-4 Overall) drop to #15 in the rankings and will miss the playoffs just 2 years after playing for a National title.
UCLA dropped to #10 in the rankings with the loss to Boise State and will now face #7 Oklahoma as the committee sets up a rematch in the Quarter Finals that will feature either the Bruins or Sooners against the Broncos.
With Miami jumping from #7 to #5 with the ACC win, Notre Dame drops from #5 to #6 and will now host #11 Alabama who makes the playoffs for the first time in 3 years and just the 2nd time in this Dynasty.
That leaves the Selection committee with a 8 Arizona State vs #9 Ohio State matchup with the winner moving on to play #1 Georgia.
Here is a full breakdown of the Bracket.
#12 (13-0) Southern Miss vs #5 (11-2) Miami.. Winner moves on to face #4 (11-2) Penn State
#9 (10-2) Ohio State vs 8 (10-2) Arizona State.. Winner moves on to face #1 (12-1) Georgia
#11 (9-3) Alabama vs #6 (10-2) Notre Dame.. Winner moves on to face #3 (11-2) Clemson
#10 (11-2) UCLA vs #7 (12-1) Oklahoma... Winner moves on to face #2 (12-1) Boise State.

Seen this story before. Scrappy G5 team earns the 12th seed, then gets obliterated by the 5th seed.
Actually happened to Southern Miss in my Coastal chise too. Funnily enough against Miami.
Grats on the Heisman! WRs winning it is more commonplace than before, but still super cool. He had a monster seasonComment

Southern Miss has been pretty dominating in this Dynasty, but I am it looks like Coach Huff is pretty high on the wish list of a couple Power 5 programs at the end of the year so it will be interesting to see if they can keep it up. They are a 76/76/76 . The next lowest rated team to make the playoffs is Arizona State who is a 82 Overall, who also happens to probably be looking for a new HC next year as Dillingham is also high on everyone's list.
It's funny because I think every season the initial Top-5 to start the year in the Heisman talks are always QB's but Ohio State's Jeremiah Smith won the Heisman in 2025 and 2026 and now Bettis this year so that makes 3 years with a WR as the winner.
The crazy part about Bettis is he isn't even my highest rated WR on my team.. Fogg is a 94 Overall and my #1, Riggins the transfer from Washington is a 92 Overall and listed as my #2. Bettis is actually only a 88 Overall and is my #3 but plays out of the slot.Comment

OFFENSIVE FIREWORKS ON DISPLAY!!!
GAME RECAPBOISE STATE-62 OKLAHOMA-50
When the selection committee set up the potential rematch of Boise State vs Oklahoma, they were hoping to bring back some of the magic from the 2007 Fiesta Bowl and they sorta got it.
It was a slow start to the game as Boise State settles for a career long FG (55 yards) by Diego Gutierrez to start the game but a quick 3 and out gave Boise State the ball back and Draft and Bettis went to work as the Heisman winner catches the first of 3 touchdowns on the day for a 50 yd pass and catch to make it (10-0).. BSU would latter add a 21 yd FG to extend their lead to (13-0) at the end of the 1st Quarter.
Oklahoma found the endzone early in the 2nd Quarter as Dennis Devey caps a 10 play drive with a 1 yd touchdown run to make it (13-7). Draft would find Rocky Riggins for a nice 12 yd score to extend the lead to (20-7) and then after another quick 3 and out, the Bronco run game went to work as Bo Jackson scores the first of 2 touchdowns on the day with his longest run of the day going 33 yds for the score.. Boise State would elect to keep the offense on the field as Draft hits Riggins for the 2pt play to make it (28-7). Oklahoma answers back though as QB Lee Gooch scrambles for a 26 yd touchdown run with 4 minutes to play in the half to make it (28-14) but with less then a minute to play BSU and Draft find the endzone again as Draft hooks up with Rocky Riggins for his 2nd touchdown of the day. to make it (35-14).
Riggins the Washington Husky transfer has sorta taken a back seat to Fogg and Bettis this season but the Junior was big in today's game finishing with 7 rec for 91 yds with the 2 scores plus the 2pt play in the 1st half.
Oklahoma opened up the 2nd half with a 9 play scoring drive as Gooch hits Jameson Stave on a 5 yd score to make it (35-21) but Boise State needs just 1 play to answer back as Draft throws a 80 yd bomb to Bettis for his 2nd score of the day (42-21)... BSU would then added another long FG (48 yards) by D.G. to extend it to (45-21).
Gooch continued to show off his running ability with a 43 yd run and the Sooners then convert the 2pt play to make it (45-29). Then it was the Oklahoma Defense coming up with a big stop as Boise State sends out Gutierrez to attempt a 52 yd FG but the kick sails right giving the Sooners nice field position and they answer with another score as Dennis Devey caps of the drive with his 2nd touchdown of the game. Again Oklahoma leaves the Offense out and connects on the 2pt play making it (45-37) with 1:16 to play in the 3rd.
Boise State however wasn't done as Draft and Bettis hookup for the "Hat Trick" on a 45 yd bomb to extend the lead back to (2) scores (52-37) going into the 4th.
A failed 4th down conversion gives Boise State the ball back early in the 4th and they respond with a 13 play drive capped by a 5 yd touchdown run by Bo Jackson to extend the lead to (59-37). Oklahoma however wasn't going to quit as they drive the ball 80 yds ending with a 2 yd TD run by Jordon Davison to make it (59-44) after a failed 2pt play.. BSU facing a 4th and 2 with under 3 minutes to paly send out Gutierrez for his 5th FG attempt of the game as he drills a short 19 yd FG to extend the lead to (62-44).
Oklahoma however still armed with 2 timeouts drives the field and scores again as Gooch hits Tyrnae Washington for another score.. Oklahoma would attempt the onside kick down by 12 but Boise State recovers and runs out the clock..

BRONCOS HEADING BACK TO THE NATTY!!
GAME RECAPFINAL SCORE BOISE STATE-49 CLEMSON-23
Boise State is headed back to the National Championship in back to back seasons with a chance to be the first repeat winner since Georgia won back to back in 2021 and 2022.
Clemson jumped out to a early (3-0) lead in the 1st Quarter as Boise State failed to put points on the scoreboard for the first time all year in the opening quarter of play. The Broncos rallied though in the 2nd Quarter to take a (21-17) lead going into the locker room as Draft and Fogg hookup for the hat trick with 3 scoring connections.
The Broncos Defense came to play in the 3rd Quarter first forcing a quick 3 and out to open up the 2nd half leading what would be the first of 3 rushing touchdowns by Bo Jackson in the quarter. After a INT by Clemson's Larry Gee, Jackson scored TD #2 to extend the lead to (35-17) and then it was another quick 3 and out punt in giving Jackson a chance to earn his own hat trick with TD #3 as Boise State takes a commanding (42-17) lead into the 4th Quarter.
Draft would lead BSU to the endzone one more time in the 4th as he hits backup TE Kellan Ford on a 7 yd score to make it (49-17) with less then 3 minutes to play in the game. Clemson would manage a late score as Gee hits SO WR Trevor Kamara (91 ovr) on a 17 yd strike.. The Tigers would then try for the 2pt play but failed to connect and then a failed onside kick allowed Boise State to just run out the clock.

Yeah. Draft has been lights out this year, which is crazy because I really thought Todd was going to be St Clair's replacement and St Clair's abilities were amazing yet he never put up a passing season like this one. Draft should finish as the NCAA record holder for Yards and TD's in a season, and already has set both the Pac-12 and Boise State records.. Even if he stays for all 3 years of his eligibility I don't think he could pass Case Keenum's career record of 19,217 yards, unless he repeats this performance in all 3 seasons.Comment
