Re: Learning How To "Fight On": A USC Trojans DEATH PENALTY Dynasty

Petros from Fox Sports Primetime: Have you Met with any of the current players that have made the team and Can you tell me what you think of them and how they would fit into your style of play?
TP: Actually I have Petros. I have met QB Matthew Lowry in person, and have spoken to several via phone. I'll break it down for you.

Matthew Lowry: He's a speedster and that's going to help our offense because our o-line is not very battle-tested. He's a good kid, and i'm looking forward to him leading this team.

TJ Youngblood: Another speedster. You would think he should be a WR but he's a TE. Very good hands, excellent size. He's going to make a lot of contributions.

Jamaal Williams: I spoke to him on the phone. He can't wait to get back there in the secondary and cause some mayhem.

J.T. Thomas: The speedy halfback. He may not be able to run over you but he doesn't have to when he can run around you.

Kwame Adu: He told me football wasn't his first love but you can't tell it. He's going to turn out to be a very good strong saftey for us.

Kerry Hurst: The powerful halfback. When JT wears the other team out with his speed Kerry will run them over. Look for Kerry to score a lot of touchdowns since he will probably be used on goaline sets more frequently than JT.

Khalid Drayton: Khalid could turn out to be a lock-down cornerback. A very smart kid too, he is studying software design.

Brandon Crenshaw: He's going to be our Wes Welker. A short guy, with a lot of elusiveness. Goign to be our slot receiver.

Aaron Wheeler: When we need a long-ball guess who's probably going to get it? Aaron. He's a pretty tall guy, so look for him on the outside and on fades.

Tony Waters: A freak of nature linebacker. I doubt anyone is going to question if he is the leader of the defense. I think he will prove that on the field.

Thomas Posey: Our newest commit. He's a fast DE, and a pass rushing nightmare. He needs to get his grades up, but I look forward to seeing what he contributes on the field.

Re: Learning How To "Fight On": A USC Trojans DEATH PENALTY Dynasty

      Trojan Huddle

USC has been hit with a Serious Sanction which caused all of its players to transfer or be cut and with a Inexperienced College head coach some people are leaving the Trojans for dead. But that's not stopping a 20 Year old from playing Football. Matt Lowry who played his first year of College ball at a JC will now lead the Trojans into the season full of controversy and Sanctions.

TH: So Matt what made you choose to enroll at USC?

ML: Well it was a life long dream of mine to come to USC not just as an Athlete but as a student of the college. My uncle came here as a student and my cousin was here as an athlete. I followed the school for a very long time and I knew this was the place for me.

TH: As you know USC has been hit with the Death Penalty which rocked the college football world. How has that impacted you?

ML: I think it Impacted Me alot not just as a Student but as a member of the football team. I was shocked just like everyone else. Not only has this affected me but the team and the University it's self. I look at this like the SMU scandal.

TH: Well not only did it cause USC to lose all of its players but the coach was fired too. What did you think of the Lane Kiffin Firing?

ML: To me it was another thing that shocked me because I followed him when he was at USC and Oakland. I thought I would be finding myself playing for him but it just wasn't going to happen. But if he did something that got him fired I can't be mad at it.

PT: You were a top prospect in the Los Angeles Area and arguably the State of California but it was Issues with you that kept Big schools away from you. What was the whole meaning behind that?

ML: It was me being angry. I had lots of Family and personal issues. Stuff that I had over me and It made me upset. I also had a big ego which didn't sit well with my teammates and my coaches. I never listened to coaches and it was more of an issue that needed to be controlled. Plus Crenshaw is not the best of enviroments for that.

TH: You went to El Camino and the coach there fixed you up. Was it way to redeem yourself?

ML: Well it was in away because I needed to redefine myself as The QB. Coach Gibson at El Camino kept me in line and so did my dad and little brother. They all help me change as a player and person and I plan to use those skills over at USC.

TH: USC's new coach was something everyone questioned at USC. I know you were a die hard USC fan before you came to USC. WHat are your thoughts on Coach Tiger?

ML: Well regardless what people think about him he's still our coach and Im going to stick by that. Even though he never coached college He's the coach and Im going to listen and follow what he has to say. He knows what job he's getting into and knows what it takes to win here at USC. I think people need to give him a chance and see what He can do and I know that Coach Tiger will do some good things here.

TH: Have you met with him yet?

ML: He met with a few of us and told us that things will get better while we're under him. When practice comes we'll figure out the offense and see what the plan is.

TH: Do you believe that USC will be back to glory anytime soon?

ML: I think we can get back there but it has to be one step at a Time. We can't go from A to D overnight. Its going to take time and their will be some games where we struggle. Its apart of growing up here at USC and in order to win titles you have to go through rough times.

TH: Matt, good luck this season and thanks

(Thanks ML21 for the interview, it's much appreciated)

Guess I should've have made myself the Kicker. A 76 Overall= Highest rated player on the team.

haha, yeah I know. i was suprised when I saw he was the most highly rated on the team. I'll bump up your OVR though. It is a bit low.

              Edit:Bumped yours and Lowry's OVR to 72s

Are you sure you want to be a RB? We already have two user created halfbacks. We could use a MLB if you're interested

              What we could still use
              1 CB
              1LE
              1ROLB
              1MLB

Yeah, we could use one. If hogs doesn't reply I will just make him the LE since he wouldn't see any playing time as HB. I'm planning on starting this up tonight with the first blow-ou....I mean game against Hawaii.

Coach Roberts: This is a tough first game, but nice. It IS in Hawaii. I should've brought the kids....Anyways about the game, their passing attack is going to be extremely hard to stop. I think our defense is going to get crushed. We are just going to have to keep up with them by scoring. It's a tough first game for sure.

                              Name: Javon Duece
                              Height/Weight: 5'11, 228
                              Position: ROLB
Any Backstory: Javon was a wrestler for his freshman and sophomore years of high school, starting for the varsity team both years and placing 3rd in the Georgia State Tournament his sophomore year at the 175 weight class. He opted to try out for the football team his junior year and was started at reciever for the first half of the season. However, he had low performance at the position, dropping over half of his passes and after a practice at the outside linebacker position he was moved there. Even though he was undersized at the position, he was easily getting to the quarterback when the school's top rated D-line held off blocks for him. He was also able to catch up to even the fastest runningbacks and take them down before they broke off into long TD runs. He finished his junior season with only 40 tackles, but ten of them were for losses and he also had 4 sacks. In his senior season he led the team by far with 106 tackles, 24 for loss, 2 INTs, and eight sacks. Even though he was a performer on the field, he was only heavily recruited by D1-AA schools and low-ranked D1 schools. When he heard on the news about USC's desperate cry for players, he knew he had his chance to shine.
                              Number: Anywhere from 46-49
                              Race: Black
Skills: Very fast in his position so he will have high speed but will trouble shedding blocks due to his small stature and dosen't have much hit power but he will make the tackle.

Since no one is giving love to the Big Uglies I'll throw an O-Lineman into the ring. That's what I played in high school, we're never the stars but hold teams together.

                                Ed Savage
                                Left Tackle
                                6'5" 323 lbs
                                Hometown: Fairbanks, Alaska

                                Strengths: Impact Blocking, Footwork, Injury
                                Weaknesses: Run Block, Strength
                                Race: White
Backstory: Ed has always had the size to play football. Growing up in the rough weather in Alaska you'd think would bring out the natural strength in the big man but unfortunately Savage has always been a more finesse lineman. He definitely has raw talent but needs to be coached up and motivated to improve his power. Ed was overlooked by most FBS schools but when hearing of the sanctions USC face he thought it may be an opportunity to get himself out there. After sending in game tape and talking to coach Roberts he's headed to So Cal.
