    Kiel Hurd
    Fullback

    6'2"
    235lbs.
    White
    #37 or 42

Hurd attended a small school in NC, and played on the line his first 3 years of varsity due to his size and the lack-there-of of his teammates. The "Bulldogs" picked up a couple of hogs his senior year which allowed him to swich to fullback and the second TE in the ace set. He blossomed in his new role, using his O-line experience to open up huge holes for his All-State Halfback and catching quite a few passes out of the backfield as well as picking up the tough yardage up the middle.

    Stregths: Hands, Blocking, and Carrying
    Weakness: Speed and Acceleration

        Trouble In Paradise
USC surprisingly makes it a game, O-Line sucks

        First Quarter
Hawaii drove down the field very easily, capping the fast drive off with a 11 yard TD pass.

Towards the end of the quarter USC gets something going with a huge Kerry Hurst run, and J.T Thomas caps the drive off with this dynasty's first TD RUN.
        7-7

        Second Quarter
We get owned. Hawaii throws two easy TD passes against us. 21-7
Drayton did lay down this punishing hit though.

        Third Quarter
We actually held them scoreless here! Also Matt Lowry hit TJ Youngblood for a 60 yard pass here to set up a Kerry Hurst TD run.

Aaron Wheeler dropping a huge bomb on a diving try. C'mon Aaron!

        Fourth Quarter
Hawaii whips us once again. They have a 5 yard rushing TD, and a 15 yard TD passing play in this quarter.

We completely abandon the run (Sorry Kerry and JT) to atleast match their scores. On a great drive by Lowry, hitting Crenshaw and Wheeler to march down the field he finds TJ Youngblood on Fourth and 17 with 50 seconds left to compelete the first passing touchdown of the dynasty.

        OS'ers
        Matthew Lowry 21/40 305 yards 1TD 0INT
        Kerry Hurst 12att 48yards 1TD
        JT Thomas 9att 15yds 1TD(just couldn't get going) 1catch 9yards
        TJ Youngblood 6catches 131yds 1TD
        Brandon Crenshaw 5catches 64yards
        Aaron Wheeler 5catches 63yards
        Jamaal Williams-3tackles
        Kwame Adu-4tackles
        Khalid Drayton-1tackle 3deflections
        JaMarcus Green-2tackles
        Javon Duece-4tackles
        Billy Goat-6 tackles
        Thomas Posey-1 tackle
        Tony Waters-1 tackle
        Ed Savage-Decent blocking(no pancakes)
        Kiel Hurd-Decent blocking

          From Tiger's Mouth
          Coach Tiger's post game comments

On the defense: We were out of position pretty much constantly, but I sort of expected that. We are a brand new team, full of freshmen with low awareness against a powerhouse throwing team.

On the offense: We played well, Aaron Wheeler had three drops but he also reeled in some big catches. Lowry to TJ Youngblood was huge today, and Crenshaw came up with some clutch catches as well. The o-line sucks, and we got sacked multiple times. The rushing game will need to improve, but TJ and Kerry both got a TD.

Yeah he was the one running back who was gaining some yards. I had to abandon the running game in the late third/fourth to try to keep up. Sorry about that

Yeah Green only had two tackles because Hawaii wasn't running the ball. They were just hitting quick passes all over the place. You should have more when we face a more balanced team

Lets hope so. I'm not ruling out a winless season.

Very happy with TJ's 1st game. Glad to see I could come in and contribute right away. Loved the video of my catch, however it seemed more focused on the throw and not my amazing catch.
