    Halfway Home

Another week, another blowout win for the Patriots. This week’s victim was the Jets and the score was 45-10 Pats.

Brady threw for 417 yards and three scores. Edelman was his main target, hauling in 13 passes for 162 yards and two scores.

Despite another subpar day in the running game LeGarrette Blount ran for two more scores and James Develin added a third.

The defense gave up one touchdown, a 63 yard Kelly to Simpson pass. The Jets did have some success early with Lance Dunbar running the ball but 30 of his 73 yards came on one run.

New England is now halfway to another undefeated regular season at 8-0.

“You’re kidding right?” Is the response reporters got when asking Belichick if he thought the team would finish 16-0.

New England will have their toughest test in weeks as they travel into Pittsburgh to face the 5-3 Steelers next week.

          Re: ONE. FINAL. RUN.

Pats are on a serious roll. You have dominated the last three games against the dregs of the NFL, tougher customers are on the way. Too bad about Gronk getting hurt, but it looks like he should recover fully before the playoffs start. A healthy Gronk will be a key to an awesome season for the Pats. I know Belichik is going home at night and going... Yep, 16-0, that's the goal baby.

yeah i was really bummed to lose Gronk, he's a blast to play with. probably will use him sparingly when he gets back until the playoffs.

we're trying to keep everyone focused on next week's game and the ultimate goal of winning game 19 but guys are starting to let those 16-0 thoughts creep in

            thanks for checking in man

JASON WORILDS WILL ON THE SIDELINES WHEN THE PATS AND STEELERS BATTLE

This week the Patriots travel to Pittsburgh to take on the 5-3 Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

              Players to Watch
For the Steelers offense it’s all about the “killer Bs”. Ben, Bell and Brown. Roethlisberger comes in with 1,873 passing yards but just 11 TDs and 8 interceptions. Le’Veon Bell has 671 yards on 143 carries for a 4.7 yard average. He has only managed to find the endzone twice. Antonio Brown has caught 48 passes for 487 yards and 2 scores. Rookie WR Amond Blake has been big, leading the team with 49 receptions, 557 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Defensively the Steelers rely on pressure from Worilds, who is out for the game, on the outside and Lawrence Timmons up the middle. The Steelers bolstered their secondary in the offseason by bringing in Jabari Greer at cornerback. William Gay will start across from him and Mike Mitchell and Shamarko Thomas are the safeties. No more James Harrison, Brett Kiesel or Troy Polamalu in Pittsburgh.

              Tale of the Tape

              964 - Pass – 2069
              732 - Rush – 727
              86 - Points – 193

              Injury Report
              NE – TE Rob Gronkowski
PIT – LG Ramon Foster, LG James Carpenter, LE Stephen Tuitt, LOLB Jason Worilds

              Outlook
The Patriots will be able to take advantage of the Steelers defensive injuries and run their offense like they want to. This should be a close game but expect the Pats to pull it off.

Brandon Browner picked off Ben Roethlisberger three times and helped lead the Patriots to their ninth straight win.

The Pats defense sacked Big Ben a total of 8 times.

New England rushed for 154 yards while holding Le’Veon Bell and the Steelers to just 58 yards on the ground.

Pittsburgh turned the ball over four times while New England did not turn it over once.

Stephen Gostkowski connected on five second half field goals.

Since Tom Brady has been on a tear lately, what is the psi of the footballs he's been playing with?

Just kidding but 16-0 doesn't seem like a long shot.

16-0 doesn't seem to unrealistic at this point but we dont want to get caught looking ahead either

JASON MCCOURTY HOPES TO OUTPLAY HIS TWIN BROTHER DEVIN ON SUNDAY

This week the 9-0 Patriots bring their #1 offense and #1 defense into Nashville to take on the 3-6 Titans.

                          Players to Watch
Tennessee has had Matt Moore under center for the bulk of the season. He has thrown for 1,924 yards, 8 TDs and 5 interceptions. Roy Helu Jr. leads the rushing attack with 544 yards. Kendall Wright, Delanie Walker, Mike Wallace and Jarrett Boykin are Moore’s favorite targets. The four have combined for over 1,600 yards and all eight touchdowns.

Defensively the squad is led by safety Trenton Robinson and inside linebacker Avery Williamson. Jason McCourty and Brandon Flowers make up an above average cornerback duo.

                            Tennessee Titans [3-6]70007

                            Record Breaker

Tom Brady broke not just one but two single game passing records as the Patriots destroyed the Titans 69-7.

Brady threw for 613 yards and eight touchdowns in the win.

The eight touchdown passes breaks the previous record of seven which was held by seven players, most recently Peyton Manning and Nick Foles, who both did it in 2013.

Brady’s 613 yards shatters Norm Van Brocklin’s previous record of 554 which was set way back in 1951.

“I knew we were out there racking up the yards but I had no idea until (receiver’s coach) Chad (O’Shea) told me where we were at after the third.”

Brady had amassed nearly 450 yards and five touchdowns through three quarters.

“We knew they weren’t going to stop it so we just decided to go for it. That type of thing doesn’t mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things but the game was wrapped up at that point so we went for it.” Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniel said about chasing the record.

“When I found out it was the eighth one I held onto the ball. I’m gonna wait for offers so hopefully Tom’s the highest bidder.” Receiver Julian Edelman joked about catching Brady’s record breaking touchdown pass.

“Obviously you never want to be on the wrong side of that kind of game.” Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said. “But there are no hard feelings. This isn’t Pop Warner so it’s up to us to stop them. We would have done the same.”

New England is now 10-0 and with their win over Pittsburgh last week many feel their biggest hurdle is behind them. They will host Miami next week. The Patriots defeated the Dolphins 37-7 on October 18th.
