Question for you.. since I'm getting well-familiar with the Jets' roster now..

did you keep D. Lee at MLB or did you position change him..?

just curious because i sim my first season (to get a headstart on draft/team building/etc) and D. Lee's attributes popped out at me.. so at seasons' end I switched him to OLB and his OVR exploded :X

where do you have him playing at?

He is at OLB for me. I really wanted him to start, but David Harris is much better at MLB, so I moved him to LOLB, and he lines up at the line of scrimmage in most of my basic packages.

yeah, D.Lee's attributes translates to OLB so much better.. I think he just fits OLB so much better..

it's funny because my pressure to find a OLB in the draft declined tremendously once i saw D.Lee's attributes and knew how he'd translate to OLB

Jets to wear Color Rush Uniforms in every remaining Primetime game in 2016

October 13, 2016 -- The Broncos and Chargers may be kicking off Week 6 in their Thursday Night Football Color Rush unis this evening, but the Jets stole their thunder today by announcing that they will don their Color Rush uniforms, as well as all of their opponents, in all of their remaining Primetime games this season, starting this Monday night against the Cardinals. The decision to do this came after the popularity of the Color Rush uniforms intensified on social media. "Color Rush" was the #1 trending topic on Twitter for two days this past week, and Todd Bowles caught on. It didn't work last year for the Jets, who wore their Color Rush uniforms on November 15 for their Thursday Night game against the Bills, a 22-17 loss in Rex Ryan's return to the Meadowlands, but Jets fans love the look of them so much, they want to see them more often. And if the Jets are wearing them, don't their opponents have to wear them as well? Yes. Yes they do.

It all starts Monday night. The Jets will put on their white, road Color Rush unis, with the bright green trim, while Arizona will don their all black Color Rush unis. The remaining games that will feature Color Rush are November 27th, the Sunday Night game at home against New England, the next week, December 5th, against Indy, another Monday Night game, and December 17th against Miami, all 3 of which are home games. So, while the Jets' road Color Rush uniforms are less appealing, we only have to put up with them once, and then get to see 3 games featuring the bright green home Color Rush uniforms. Of course, every other team will break out their Color Rush uniforms each Thursday night. The Jets are just that special.

Jets Gameday Preview: Week 6 (MNF)

The roof will likely be open this evening, as the relatively cool fall air in Glendale, Arizona is darn near perfect for football.

Get up, it's Monday Night, and as you all know, it all comes down to Monday Night. Especially when the Jets are coming off a huge trade and their best game of the season. They're red hot, and they're in the perfect place, the desert, and on the perfect stage, national TV, with Jon Gruden gracing the airwaves. This game could put the Jets back on track for something amazing to happen, since this is the final game of the brutal 6 game stretch to start the season, against 5 playoff teams from a season ago, and the team that kept the Jets out of the playoffs a season ago. If they lose, they're still in a pretty good place at 3-3, but how nice would it be to come out of this at 4-2? As long as the offense plays like they did last week, Coach Bowles and Sam Freday don't really care how it goes tomorrow night. Arizona is the one with all the pressure, coming in on a 4 game win streak after losing their opener to Jimmy G and the Patriots. Arizona is the one with more star power on offense AND defense. It's their game to lose.

Carson Palmer had a career year last year, and not much changed for him over the summer. He's still got a plethora of weapons, the same weapons, as well a few new ones. David Johnson burst onto the scene last year, and now carries the load rushing, and provides a good option for Palmer out of the backfield. Meanwhile, there's old reliable Larry Fitzgerald, whose days in the league may be numbered, but is still producing at the same level he did in his prime. He has his eyes set on the Super Bowl this season, in case he does call it quits. Alongside him, ready to fill his shoes, is the young John Brown, Jaron Brown, and another veteran, Jerricho Cotchery. At tight end is the new acquisition Jermaine Gresham. Their offense is loaded, and the stats show it. The Jets face one of the league's top offenses for the second week in a row.

That ferocious Cardinals' defense is loaded as well, full of big names. Up front, we start with Calais Campbell, who's been giving opposing quarterbacks nightmares for years is on one side, has been teaching his craft to rookie Robert Nkemdiche, who took the SEC by storm last season while at Ole Miss. The next layer of defense is similar in terms of talent and intimidation level. Former Packer and current hard hitter A.J. Hawk is a linebacker on one side, opposite the former Patriot, and amazing athlete Chandler Jones. Wedged in between them is tackling machine Deone Bucannon. But, we haven't even gotten to their secondary yet, which is one of the best in the league, featuring Patrick Peterson, the Honeybadger Tyrann Mathieu, and Tyvon Branch, the pride of UConn. Yep, these guys are good. They have the #4 pass defense thus far this season. Good luck, Geno.

Gameday Recap: Jets 24, Cardinals 20
Defense makes clutch plays, guide Jets to another road victory

Buster Skrine picks up a fumble midway through the 4th, and takes it to the house, in what wold prove to be the game winning score.

What do they always say about good teams? They’re tough, they’re gritty, they find ways to win. The Jets did just that in the Arizona desert on Monday night. They didn’t dominate like they did against the Steelers a week ago, which is good. Every once in a while it’s nice to earn a win. Geno made a couple more mistakes than he did last week, and he learned from them; that’s what you gotta do. The defense certainly didn’t shut down Arizona’s high powered offense, but they made big plays when they had to; just ask Buster Skrine. Not only did Buster Skrine have what turned out to be the game winning scoop ‘n’ score, he also deflected Carson Palmer’s pass to John Brown in the end zone on 4th down on the next drive, a play that would have given the Cardinals the lead with just over 2 minutes left.

This game couldn’t have gotten off to a less entertaining start. Both teams were figuring each other out, in this matchup of teams that only play once every 4 years. There were a couple of punts on the first offensive drives for each club, but as the first quarter closed, the Jets starting moving the ball, and on the first play of the second quarter, Nick Folk hit a field goal, actually making the kick for once being indoors, without the effects of weather that have made him look relatively stupid thus far in 2016. But the Jets found out on that drive that they would have to rely on Geno’s arms a little bit more than usual, as the Cardinals’ stout defense was actually containing Todd Gurley, a guy they are very familiar with. If you recall, Todd Gurley’s breakout game as a pro took place here in week 4 last year as a member of the Rams, when he torched the Cardinals, tallying close to 200 yards on the ground. But this day was much different. Gurley did finish near the century mark, but 25 of those yards came in garbage time. But, anyway, back to the game.

It was 3-0 Jets, and the Arizona offense came back onto the field. Carson Palmer was looking good and feeling good. He didn’t have an incompletion until the play before he got knocked out of the game for two quarters. At that point, it was 10-7 Jets, and a big sack of Mo Wilkerson on third down left the old gunslinger shaken up. Luckily, the Cardinals were able to downplay everything by having Chandler Catanzaro come into knock in a field goal and tie it at 10. The Jets were content with that score, but they got a little greedy and a little pushy. With 43 seconds left, Geno came onto the field with one thought in mind: Get the ball to Gronk and Marshall, and get into field goal range, if not the end zone. But, he was met by Tyson Alualu, sacked, and coughed up the football. A.J. Hawk pounced on it, and Cardinals backup QB Drew Stanton found Jaron Brown on 3rd down for a toe tap touchdown, giving the Cardinals the lead heading into the locker room.

It didn’t help anybody on the Jets sideline that Jeremy Ross coughed up the opening kickoff. The Jets offense and special teams felt like this was as good a time as any to dig themselves a nice hole, but thankfully, the defense didn’t agree. Faced with a second consecutive short field, the Jets’ D responded, and forced the Cardinals into a three and out, even though that meant another Chandler Catanzaro field goal to make it 20-10. Todd Bowles was trying to motivate the offense on the sideline, and Geno responded by leading a tough and gritty drive, one that took over 5 minutes, and resulted with the Jets QB finding Devin Smith in the end zone milliseconds before taking a huge shot from Calais Campbell. Clutch. 20-17 Cardinals. The Jets’ D rode the new found momentum and forced Drew Stanton’s offense to punt. Could the Jets put together another gritty drive to take the lead? No. Geno rushed two straight passes before flat out overthrowing Brandon Marshall on just a terrible pass. Chandler Jones picked it up instead, and would have taken it to the house if not for Todd Gurley’s hustle, knocking him out at the 14 yard line. The Jets’ defense needed a turnover, and got one, on the very next play. Stanton sat back in the pocket, with the Jets only rushing their 3 down linemen, and fired it into Larry Fitzgerald in the end zone. But, Marcus Williams was there, and stepped in front of it. The Jets were back in business, or so we thought.

The Jets had to punt after Gurley got stuffed, and Gronk couldn’t find an opening. And, this time on offense, Carson Palmer was back. In the new zone defense the Jets have been playing since Revis got hurt, opposing teams have utilized the short, dump off passes, but not much down the field. Palmer took advantage of these underneath routes, but his wideouts just happened to be a little faster than some of the other wideouts the Jets have seen this year. He found Fitzgerald and both Browns, and David Johnson underneath, and let them do the rest. Before long, the Cardinals were in the red zone, up 3, with 7 minutes to go. On 3rd and 9, Palmer found Jermaine Gresham on an out route, and Dee Milliner made a great open field tackle about 2 yards short of the first down, and the Jets thought they had a great red zone stand, but they actually had something even better. You see, Gresham fumbled the football, and Milliner did his part by holding him down on the ground, until one of his many teammates in the area could come by and scoop it up. That guy ended up being Buster Skrine, and 94 yards later, he was huffing and puffing it into the end zone. 24-20 in favor of the Jets.

The Cardinals got one last good look, but Skrine got a hand on Carson Palmer’s pass to John Brown in the end zone on 4th down, and it fell out of the back of the end zone incomplete. Todd Gurley finally found some running room, and the Jets ran out the clock. That’s what I call clutch.

Buster Skrine's celebration after taking the fumble to the house.

Devin Smith hauls in a TD while Geno Smith gets pummelled in the background.

Jaron Brown's great toe tapping job to put the Cardinals ahead going into the break.

                          Jets Gameday Preview: Week 7

At long last, the Jets return home, albeit they won't stay for long. Back on the road for 2 more after this one today.

The Jets slept in their own beds this week, and it felt good. The Jets have played 6 games thus far, and only 2 of them have been in front of the MetLife faithful. But, only 3 of their first 9 games will be on the road, so the Jets are logging a lot of miles. But, it's okay, because they are through the gauntlet of the schedule, and would much rather play in front of the home fans in November and December anyway, when games become uber important. This week, they look to extend their 3 game win streak against the Ravenous Ravens of Baltimore.

The 2015 Baltimore Ravens were marred by injury, to just about everyone. By the end of the season, Jimmy Clausen was starting at quarterback. How awkward does that sound? This team is good, don't get me wrong. It was disheartening to watch them struggle last year, with half their team on IR. But now, all of the offensive weapons are back. Joe Flacco is back and better than ever, coming off a torn ACL. Instead of tearing up his knee, he's tearing up opposing defenses. He's got all of his targets back. Steve Smith, Sr. is enjoying his swan song, after having it abruptly end last season. Kamar Aiken had a breakout year among the other turmoil in the darkness that was last season, and is now Flacco's number two. Also joining the party is talented young stud Breshad Perriman, who missed his entire rookie season with injury. Mike Wallace, who Sam Freday relied on when he was with the Vikings just one season ago, joins the NFL's other purple franchise via free agency. Last, but certainly not least, Justin Forsett is running wild and free again, allowing this Baltimore offense to once again find itself in the top 10 in the league, after taking a yearlong slumber.

But, why is Baltimore 2-4 in 2016? They posses the league's worst defense, and have given up the 3rd most points in the league. For starters, Terrell Suggs and Brandon Williams are hurt, and have been for quite some time, leaving a young inexperienced defense everywhere except for the secondary. Up front, where Williams was, you can find the young team of Timmy Jernigan, Grady Jarrett. Now, there are some familiar faces at linebacker, like Elvis Dumervil and the tackling machine C.J. Mosley, but they haven't done much to stop the run this season, ranking among the bottom of the league in run defense, in addition to every other major defensive category. The rookie Kamalei Correa from Boise State, who is filling in for Suggs, might be the reason for that, as he has struggled mightily thus far. But, the pass defense is 31st in the league, something you wouldn't expect when your secondary consists of Eric Weddle, Will Hill III, Jimmy Smith, and Lardarius Webb, but somehow, they've struggled this year, allowing big games by opposing WR1s. We'll see if that changes today. In an ideal world, the Jets have the potential to have a big day on offense, but struggle to get their defense off the field. I love a good old-fashioned shootout.

Fun fact: The Ravens are the first team ever to play 2 consecutive regular season games as an opponent in the same stadium. They were here last week, losing 34-31 to the New York Football Giants. Will they get some MetLife Magic, or fall to 0-2 in New Jersey in the span of 7 days?

Gameday Recap: Ravens 20, Jets 14
Pathetic offensive performance ends in 5 Jets' turnovers

Todd Bowles, and everyone up in the owner's box, thought the Jets had tied it on this Geno Smith scramble midway through the 4th quarter, but as you can clearly see, he lost the ball at the 1 instead, his 4th turnover of the day, and first of two fumbles in the red zone in the 4th quarter.

I’m trying so hard to find an excuse for this team. Was it the rain? No, because the Jets manhandled the Steelers in the rain a couple of weeks ago, and they are a much better team, at least on paper. Was it the crowd noise? No, because for once, the Jets played a home game. So how in the world does Geno throw 3 picks (although one of them was on me – I hit the wrong button), then fumble it twice in the red zone in the 4th quarter? Couple that with a boatload of drops, including 5 from Brandon Marshall, and you’ve got yourself one terrible day on offense. The one bright side? Gronk was like a vacuum. Geno was a different person when targeting Gronk, completing 8 of 9 for almost 200 yards, albeit the one he didn’t complete was tipped 40 feet into the air and intercepted by Will Hill. Give the defense a ton of credit, though, they kept this a one score ballgame all day, despite being faced with a short field for the majority of the day, and not being able to stop the run like they had learned to since that debacle that was the Bills game.

I’d like to pick this up shortly before halftime. The Jets had the ball in the red zone, down 7-0. Todd Gurley was struggling to find running room, so Geno had to put it in the air to get the ball into the end zone, finding Kenbrell Thompkins for a 3rd down touchdown to tie it. On the next drive, Joe Flacco was met by the tag team of Mo Wilkerson and Leonard Williams, who hit him at the same time, causing Flacco to fumble, with the ball going directly into Williams’ possession. Capping off Geno’s best stretch of the day were a couple of passes to Gronkowski, with the latter putting the Jets in the lead 14-7 going into the half, just Gronk’s 2nd TD in 3 games since joining the Jets.

The Jets thought they were just going to come out and explode against the Ravens’ horrendous defense. They could have, if Geno didn’t pick today to suck. A couple plays into the opening drive of the second half, he threw the aforementioned interception that was tipped by Eric Weddle, in coverage with Gronkowski, and caught by a leaping Will Hill, right before Brandon Marshall could arrive to save the day. The Jets defense did their job once again, holding Justin Tucker to a long field goal, but not as long as the 65 yarder he attempted in the first quarter, much to the confusion of everyone in the building.

So, it was 14-10, and the Jets got the ball, looking to get over their incompetence. On 3rd and 5 from their own 30, Geno called for play action, but was immediately met by pressure. But, he knew that he had one guy that he could just throw it near, and everything would be okay: Gronk. Gronk stuck out his big mitts, hauled it in, and ran 30 yards. Unfortunately, the drive stalled out, and Nick Folk hit a perfect 52 yard kick, but for a 53 yard field goal attempt, and it fell a hair short. It didn’t help that on the ensuing Ravens’ possession, the Jets suddenly forgot how to tackle. Justin Forsett broke loose, breaking tackles, and then Breshad Perriman broke a tackle, juked another, then spun around Marcus Williams en route to an 18 yard touchdown catch and run, putting Baltimore ahead 17-14. Geno’s third and final interception followed on the next drive, and the New York defense held Baltimore to yet another field goal, making it 20-14 with 8:50 to play in the game.

Geno started the next drive by running the same play action play for Gronk, who hauled it in again, this time for a gain of 47, putting the Jets inside the 20 at the Baltimore 17. Gurley tried and failed to get anything going, so Geno found Gronk again over the middle for a first down inside the 5 to the 3 yard line. On first and goal, not wanting to run Gurley and get stopped, offensive coordinator Chan Gailey called for Geno to look for either Marshall or Devin Smith on a crossing route. The play broke down, and Geno rolled right, then scrambled for the end zone. He would have had it, but immediately lost it on first contact with the defense, and the Ravens fell on it at their own 1. It certainly didn’t help that Flacco decided to throw it deep for Steve Smith Sr., who actually got it in one on one coverage with Marcus Williams, a DB who is about 5 inches taller. That didn’t matter, as the Jets forced a punt with plenty of time left. Once again, the Jets had no problem getting it to the red zone, but inconsistent playcalling in the red zone killed them once again, as Geno once again scrambled on a broken play, and once again fumbled the football. This time, however, there was no getting the ball back. The clock had basically run out. The Ravens left New Jersey after two weeks of hard fought football, grinding it out to finish 1-1 in that span, after getting hit by the clutchness of Eli Manning last week.

Breshad Perriman spins past Marcus Williams on his way to putting the Ravens in front late in the third quarter.

Gronk's view as he pulls in the TD that gave the Jets a 14-7 lead going into the locker room.

SMH, Geno choked again lol. Although I don't blame him completely considering it was a rain game.

Hopefully you guys can right the ship and finally knock the Patriots off from atop the AFC East (I hate them even more irl after last night's whooping of the Texans lol).

Also, how in the world are the Seahawks 1-5?
