After an 0-2 start, the Cleveland Browns have rattled off 4 straight Wins including two over Division rivals, Ravens and Steelers. Coach Mike Pettine has done an amazing job his first year in Cleveland as the Browns sit in first place heading into the halfway point. Cleveland has been rallying behind Brian Hoyer while Manziel heals up.
The Raiders are in trouble as they start 2014 off with a 0-6 record and being blown out in every game. Head Coach Dennis Allen hasn't done anything to try and turn the Season around and rumors circulated that the Front Office and Mark Davis is not happy with the Season.
If the Raiders don't start winning some games, Allen could be out of Oakland by January.

BROWNS win 5th in a row and smash RAIDERS 52-3 off Hoyer's performance....

      RECAP

Cleveland, OH- The Cleveland Browns(5-2) smashed the winless Oakland Raiders(0-7) 52-3 in a game that was never even close.

The Browns jumped out to a 28-3 halftime lead.

"We kept our foot on the gas the entire time. Great Team effort." Browns Head Coach Mike Pettine stated.

Cleveland(5-2) sits in first place in the AFC North at the halfway point.

The Browns had 557 yards of Offense and finished the day with 52 points off Quarterback Brian Hoyer's 443 yards and 5 Touchdowns.

Cleveland never turned the ball over once.

Oakland(0-7) failed to get anything going as QB Matt McGloin was held to just 58 yards and a pick.

RB's Maurice Jones-Drew had 38 yards off 13 carries and Darren McFadden had 8 yards off 5 touches.

"We're not doing anything right." Raiders Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

The Raiders remain the only winless team this year.

Browns RB Terrance West racked up 109 yards and a TD. Hoyer rushed for one as well.

3 of Hoyer's Touchdowns we're to WR Miles Austin who had 221 yards to go with it.

"Executed very well today. Gave our guys chances to make some plays." Pettine stated.

The Raiders(0-7) failed to stop the Browns(5-2) who just ran up and down the field from the opening kick.

Oakland was held to 67 yards Total Offensively. And 223 Total.

Oakland managed just 5 first downs the whole game.

"Put ourselves in a bad spot this year. Sitting here on a 7 game slide isn't where we want to put. We need to turn this thing around." Allen said.

It's no secret that the Raiders Front Office will probably be making some changes this Off-Season.

It's Sunday Night Football down in "The Big Easy" where Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints are looking to snap their 3 game skid. The problem is that they have to face "That Bad Man" Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers who have won 3 straight. A hostile environment on the road in PRIMETIME is where Aaron Rodgers thrives. The Packers Defense is among the worst of the league so however Rodgers and the #1 Offense plays is how the Pack will. The Saints rock the #2 Defense in the league and will try to contain 12.

PACKERS win 4th straight, hand SAINTS 4th straight loss in 34-29 Shootout in New Orleans....

          RECAP

New Orleans, LA- It was another Chapter in the Aaron Rodgers VS Drew Brees saga tonight in New Orleans.

The Packers raced out to a 34-9 lead in the 3rd quarter as Aaron Rodgers really picked apart Rob Ryans Defense.

"One of the greatest ever. Hard to beat Aaron Rodgers." Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan stated.

Aaron Rodgers was Aaron Rodgers throwing for 348 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

Drew Brees ate the Packers horrible Defense alive throwing for 483 yards and 3 Touchdowns.

"We need to tighten up a lot." Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy stated.

The Packers pass defense was absolutely horrible as questions begin to rise again on the future of Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers.

But the Packers(6-2) stopped the Saints(3-4) rushing attack.

Holding Pierre Thomas to just 48 yards off 21 carries.

The Saints(3-4) have now lost 4 straight after a 3-0 start.

"Need to get ourselves out of this slump." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton stated.

The Packers(6-2) win their 4th straight and are now tied with Chicago(6-2) for the North lead.

The Saints(3-4) will get a quick rest as they prepare for Thursday Night Football.

Monday Night Football is here and we're in "Big D!" for a Divisional Matchup as the Dallas Cowboys face their rivals, the Washington Redskins. The Boyz are unbeaten at home while the Skins have lost 5 straight and haven't won a game on the road. Redskins will have Kirk Cousins at QB while RG3 nurses yet another injury. Dallas is rocking the 10th best Offense while their Defense is 21. Washington has the 16th Offense and 27th Defense. Tony Romo and Company should take the W but can't overlook the Skins.

COWBOYS hand REDSKINS their 6th straight loss in 35-14 drubbing in Jerry's World....

              RECAP

Arlington, TX- It was a Division battle Monday night when the Redskins(1-7) faced the Cowboys(7-1).

It was a disaster for Washington.

The Cowboys jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead. CB Brandon Carr intercepted Kirk Cousins in the end zone on the Opening drive.

Cousins would throw a pick 6 to Carr that put Dallas up 28-0 in the third quarter.

The Cowboys(7-1) put up 35 unanswered points before Kirk Cousins and Washington began to move the ball.

Cousins led the Skins' down on 2 TD drives but the game was well out of hand.

"We fell behind early and fast. We dug ourselves a hole and couldn't keep up." Redskins Head Coach Jay Gruden stated.

"Great football tonight. Washington is a good Team and that rivalry pushed us tonight." Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

With the loss, Washington has lost 6 straight.

                    OCTOBER NFC RECAP

-The first half of the 2014 Season is in the books. Let's take a look at each team's second quarter.

                    NFC NORTH

                    Chicago Bears(6-2)

The Monsters of the Midway continue to prove people wrong and make haters into believers. Da Bears are in first place tied with their longtime rivals, Green Bay. Chicago's only losses are to the 49ers, and the Patriots. However in the New England loss, Chicago still managed 35 points. The Bears have proven they can contend with anyone and should be a force in the second half. Marc Trestman has done a masterful job in just his second year at the helm.

                    Green Bay Packers(6-2)

Also sitting at 6-2 is Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers is an early favorite for MVP and the Packers are looking for a bounce back year after Rodgers spent half of 2013 on the shelf. The Pack fell in Chicago in Week 4 thanks to some bad play calling by Mike McCarthy. Cameras caught Rodgers and McCarthy having words afterwards on the sidelines. McCarthy appears to be back to his old ways and depending on how far Rodgers can take this Packers team is depending on how well he plays. Even with GB's horrid defense. Things look to be interesting for the Green and Gold in the second half.

                    Detroit Lions(4-4)

After a 2-0 start, the Lions fell to 2-4 before rallying to reach 4-4 at the halfway point. Head Coach Jim Caldwell's system is taking shape in the Motor City. The second half however should be a real test as Detroit faces top teams like Arizona, New England,, and Tampa Bay. Matthew Stafford has spent time on the shelf and has 7 TD's and 7 INTs. The Leos will look to keep building as they enter the second half.

                    Minnesota Vikings(1-7)

Slumping into the second half are the hapless Vikings. Mike Zimmer's Vikings are still struggling on the defensive side of the ball. Minnesota now has another problem. Two QB's (Cassel and Bridgewater) are both out with Broken Collarbones. Zimmer has been starting Rookie Nick Montana, the son of Great Joe Montana. Ponder has been the backup. Minnesota enters the second half with the 29th Defense in the league. It's no secret that massive changes are coming in the offseason.

                    NFC EAST

                    Dallas Cowboys(7-1)

Dallas has been on a tear this year with a 7-1 record and a nice 3 game cushion in the NFC East. Dem Boyz' got Tony Romo back and Jason Garrett is an early favorite for Coach of the Year. Dallas will face Arizona in Week 9 and should clinch the East Title by Thanksgiving if the Boyz continue to win.

                    New York Giants(4-3)

Falling back down to earth in the month of October are the New York Giants. The G-Men sit in second place in the East and the second half has them facing Seattle, San Francisco, and another matchup with Dallas. The Giants will need to keep rolling if they wish to not miss out on playoffs for the third year in a row.

                    Philadelphia Eagles(3-4)

The Eagles find themselves in tough waters, losing QB Nick Foles to a shoulder tear. Philly started Mark Sanchez and it hasn't paid off. A week 8 blowout loss in Arizona where Sanchez had multiple turnovers againsst the ball hawking #1 Defense and Kelly was forced to bench the once promising savior. Carson Wentz struggled in relief. Philly gets Foles back next week but if the Eagles find themselves in a 3-5 hole then Foles will be forced to try and dig Philly out. Second half is off to a rough start already for the Birds.

                    Washington Redskins(1-7)

Rocking a 6 game skid into the halfway point, the Washington Redskins are in a massive rebuild. QB RG3 is still out another week and QB Kirk Cousins is seeing his first almost full year as a starter. It's been a rough one to say the least as Cousins is now leading the league in Interceptions. Head Coach Jay Gruden has full confidence in Cousins as the second half kicks off. Washington should see a lot of changes come January.

                    NFC SOUTH

                    Tampa Bay Buccaneers(6-1)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one of the most surprising Teams of the 2014 Season. Tampa has raced out to a 6-1 record and a nice 6 game winning streak beating teams like the Saints, Steelers, and Ravens. The Lovie Smith-Josh McCown connection has done wonders for the Team in South Florida. The way the Bucs are playing they should clinch the Division and make playoffs for the first time since the Jon Gruden Era.

                    New Orleans Saints(3-4)

After a 3-0 start, the Saints we're heavy favorites to win the South and make a SB run. However "Who Dat!" Nation has stumbled losing 4 straight. Over the losing streak, Drew Brees has been turning the ball over on a massive scale. The Saints will look to turn things around in the second half and a Primetime Matchup with the struggling Panthers just might be what the doctor ordered.

                    Atlanta Falcons(2-6)

The Falcons have gotten worse in the month of October going 0-4. Atlanta is struggling very bad and speculation has many people thinking Mike Smith may be fired by the time the Falcons conclude their horrific campaign. The Falcons will need to dig themselves out of their hole if Mike Smith wishes to keep his job.

                    Carolina Panthers(1-7)

After a Week 1 blowout in Tampa, the Panthers have lost 7 straight. QB Cam Newton has 6 TD's and 15 Picks in what is possibly his worst year as a starter. The Panthers have struggled due to Newton's inconsistency. Carolina has already announced that Newton would be benched and Veteran QB Derek Anderson is getting the nod to start on Thursday Night against the Saints. Head Coach Ron Rivera is trying to save Carolina's season in hopes of a 9-7 record.

                    NFC WEST

                    Arizona Cardinals(6-1)

Arizona is another surprising team this year as the Cardinals rock a monster #1 Defense with a ball hawking unit led by Patrick Peterson. The Red Birds just blew out Philly on Sunday forcing 6 turnovers and putting up 37 points. Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles has Arizona as a monster threat heading into the second half. Carson Palmer is nothing more than a "Game Manager" this year with 7 TD's and 6 picks. The Running game and the defense is winning games.

                    Seattle Seahawks(5-2)

If there's anything to be known about the Seahawks is that they get hotter as the year goes on. At 5-2 heading into the second half, Seattle should turn it on and jump Arizona for the West Division Title by December. The defending Champions are still rocking that Legion of Boom Defense and Pete Carroll is a master motivator. Seattle will make some noise as November comes.

                    San Francisco 49ers(4-3)

After a BYE, the 9ers have slumped to a 4-3 record and will look to bounnce back in the second half. Jim Harbaugh has his Defense ranked #4 but with his System around Colin Kaepernick who isn't much of a deep passer the Offense is 26th. Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman will need to make some adjustments to get San Francisco some points and make life easier for Kaepernick.

                    St. Louis Rams(3-4)

The Rams slumped to a 3-4 record and inconsistency at QB is stilll dragging the team down. Bradford returned but has been struggling. The Rams will need to win some games and find some consistency in the second half as Head Coach Jeff Fisher may be coaching for his life. However Stan Kroenke hasn't made any decisions on if Fisher is still the man for the job or not.

                      OCTOBER AFC RECAP

                      AFC NORTH

                      Cleveland Browns(5-2)

The Browns have been a surprise this year rocking a 5 game winning streak after a 0-2 start. Cleveland has been on Cloud 9 as Head Coach Mike Pettine has the Browns in first place heading into the second half. If the Browns can keep winning, then Cleveland will make the playoffs for the first time since 2002. QB Brian Hoyer is testing Free Agency but he's under center while Johnny Manziel heals an injury.

                      Cincinnati Bengals(4-3)

The Bengals are in second place but still have hopes in repeating as North Champions. The second half should give them a boost as they face the Jaguars, Texans, etc in the coming weeks. Cincinnati should contend for the Division title as long as they keep winning.

                      Baltimore Ravens(4-4)

After losing Joe Flacco on Opening Sunday, Baltimore turned to Tyrod Taylor and Taylor kept the Ravens afloat at .500. Head Coach John Harbaugh was going to get a pass if Baltimore fell to 0-8. However with the return of Joe Flacco, the Ravens should use the second half to turn things around and make a run for the Division Championship.

                      Pittsburgh Steelers(4-4)

The Steelers fell to .500 over the first half. Losses led to some animosity in the locker room with Ben Roethlisberger calling the team out. Head Coach Mike Tomlin has kept the team above water and now must right the ship in the second half if Pittsburgh wishes to make playoffs.

                      AFC EAST

                      New England Patriots(6-2)

The Dynasty sits in first place heading into the second half. New England has been getting better and better as the year goes on. Regardless of a shootout win over the Bears, the Pats are still poised to clinch the Division and make a deep playoff run. It's no secret that the road to the Super Bowl goes through Foxboro.

                      New York Jets(5-2-1)

Rex Ryan has the Jets making some noise this year. After losing Geno Smith in Pre-Season, New York rallied behind QB John David Booty who was invited to mini camp. A Thursday night victory over New England has the Jets ready to contend for the East crown. The second half should be interesting for Gang Green.

                      Buffalo Bills(4-4)

The rebuilding Bills enter the second half with a .500 record. Buffalo's biggest flaw this year has been the nonstop QB carousel that Head Coach Doug Marrone has been doing. The Bills will look to keep building in the second half as no plans of a playoff run have already been discussed. Question is who will Buffalo start this week?

                      Miami Dolphins(2-5)

The Dolphins sit in last place in the East and have lost 3 straight. Coach Joe Philbin has shuffled Quarterbacks from Ryan Tannehill, Marcus Vick, and Matt Moore due to injuries. Getting Tannehill back healthy should steer Miami in the win direction entering the second half.

                      AFC SOUTH

                      Tennessee Titans(4-4)

The Titans have clawed their way back to a 4-4 record and in first place in the struggling South. Tennessee started out 0-3 but Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt rallied the team behind Jake Locker. With how bad the South Division has been this year, Tennessee should punch their ticket to January. A place the Titans hasn't been since 2008.

                      Indianapolis Colts(3-5)

The Colts season went down the drain when QB Andrew Luck broke his Collarbone. Indy has fallen to 3-5 and Matt Hasselbeck also got hurt. The Colts acquired Thad Lewis and started Rookie Sean Mannion. Head Coach Chuck Pagano should get a pass for the horrible year.

                      Houston Texans(3-5)

When Ryan Fitzpatrick went down, the Texans struggles began. Houston is having a rough year in a new system as Head Coach Bill O'Brien is building something. Case Keenum isn't much of an answer at QB right now. With how bad the South is however, Houston can still turn it around and win the Division. Things look to be interesting in the second half.

                      Jacksonville Jaguars(2-6)

The Jags had to wait until Week 4 to get their first look at their #3 Pick Blake Bortles who broke his Collarbone in Pre-Season raising many eyebrows within the Front Office. So far Bortles has struggled in his rookie year throwing 3 TDs and 7 picks. But Jacksonville knew this would be a rebuilding year. Entering the second half however, Blake Bortles should start fitting in otherwise the Jags will have to look elsewhere.

                      AFC WEST

                      Kansas City Chiefs(6-1)

KC is still in control of the West with their 6-1 record. The Chiefs look to capture their first West Title since 2010. The second half has the Chiefs facing teams like Seattle, Arizona and Pittsburgh. If San Diego stays hot on Kansas City's tail then the West Title should come down to Week 17.

                      San Diego Chargers(5-3)

Hot on the Chiefs tail are the Chargers. The Bolts are looking to jump the Chiefs for the West Title but that's easier said then done. The West may come down to Week 17.

                      Denver Broncos(1-5-1)

Denver is a mess. After a Week 1 blowout win over the Colts, Denver entered a 3 game skid where Peyton Manning was absolutely horrible and leading the league in Interceptions. Manning got hurt in a loss to the Cardinals and backups Brock Osweiller and Zac Dysert ain't doing Denver any favors. GM John Elway and Head Coach John Fox ain't ready to admit that the Peyton era is over. The main concern is getting Peyton back this week for a matchup with Tom Brady. But at 1-5-1, Denver has a massive hole to climb out of with Peyton Manning struggling.

                      Oakland Raiders(0-7)

Oakland has only gotten worse in October. The team just might be the 2nd team in history to go 0-16. The Raiders have the worst Offense in the NFL and their Defense ain't much better. It's no secret that Mark Davis and the Front Office ain't happy with the team and rumors circling around that Head Coach Dennis Allen may be fired if the team doesn't start winning games.

                          WEEK 9 GAMES TO WATCH

                          Buccaneers(6-1) @ Browns(5-2)

The Bucs will put their 6 game winning streak on the line when they head to the "Dawg Pound" in Cleveland. The Browns will also look to get a huge victory over one of the best teams in the league.

                          Cardinals(6-1) @ Cowboys(7-1)

The #1 Defense, the Ball hawking Arizona Cardinals head to Arlington to battle the Cowboys. Last time Dallas faced a good defense was in Seattle where they we're blew out with Romo throwing multiple picks. Things may be different for the Boys as they have homefield advantage.

                          Jets(5-2-1) @ Chiefs(6-1)

The Jets look to push for the East Title but KC will look to pull away in the West. One team will move closer to a Division title while the loser will fall another game back.

                          Broncos(1-5-1) @ Patriots(6-2)

Peyton Manning makes his return just in time for another epic chapter of "Brady vs Manning". Denver is on the verge of being eliminated with a horrible 1-5-1 record. A loss to Brady will put Denver closer to being eliminated. But if Denver wins then they can begin to climb out of their hole. If Denver wishes to make playoffs then starting today they must get on a streak. But that's no easy task when the challenge in front of them is Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

                              RECAP

Charlotte, NC- It was what the "Doctor ordered", a Primetime matchup with the struggling Carolina Panthers(1-8) for the New Orleans Saints(4-4) to find their winning ways again.

"We needed a win." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton stated. "Needed to find our footing and get back in the Playoff race."

The Saints jumped out to a 21-0 first quarter lead thanks to 2 fumbles by Jonathan Stewart.

"We couldn't hold on to the ball in the first, put ourselves in a hole." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Carolina had 3 turnovers, each time the Saints put up points.

Backup QB Derek Anderson fumbled for the 3rd.

"Took a hit and the ball fell out. That's my fault." Anderson stated.

Anderson filled in while Newton is benched.

Anderson finished the game with 229 yards passing and no Touchdowns.

"We didn't play well. Especially in the first half when we fell behind." Rivera said.

The Panthers went into halftime down 24-3.

Drew Brees lit up the struggling Panthers defense with 324 yards and 4 Touchdowns.

"Great football for us today. Things went well for us." Brees stated.

The Panthers(1-8) have now lost 8 straight.

                                Game Notes
When Tampa Bay and Cleveland entered 2014 with new Head Coaches, nobody expected them to be leading their Divisions by the halfway point. Mike Pettine and Lovie Smith have done masterful jobs in 2014. The Browns have Brian Hoyer at QB and even though he declined a Contract extension he's done a great job leading the Browns.
The Buccaneers with Josh McCown have rattled off 6 straight wins after a Week 1 loss to the Panthers. Tampa Bay is looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

                                Buccaneers Offense: 8
                                Buccaneers Defense: 19

                                Browns Offense: 13
                                Browns Defense: 2
