NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Tom Brady "Winning Super Bowl will be huge for us."

    1/19/15

    Written By: Adam Schefter

24 Hours ago the New England Patriots added yet another AFC Championship to their resume thanks to Tom Brady's Epic Game Winning Drive. Ending with Gostkowski's Game Winning Field Goal over the Cleveland Browns in the AFC Championship.

New England is heading back to the Super Bowl as the rest of the NFL begins it's Off-Season Programs.

But for Quarterback Tom Brady, winning Super Bowl 49 would be special for him personally.

"Yeah winning the Super Bowl is always special and I'm looking forward to getting that 4th ring." Brady said with a grin.

There's only 2 Quarterbacks in NFL History who holds 4 rings.

49ers Legend Joe Montana and Steelers Legend Terry Bradshaw.

If the Patriots can knock off the Seahawks in less than 2 weeks, Brady will join both as a Super Bowl Winning Quarterback with 4 rings.

"It will be special for all of us if we can go in there and win the Super Bowl. " Brady added.

MIAMI DOLPHINS: What the Mike McCarthy ERA means for South Beach...

      1/19/15

      Written By: Adam Schefter

Times are changing for the Miami Dolphins as they welcome new Head Coach Mike McCarthy.

But what exactly does this new ERA mean?

It's no question that McCarthy knows what it takes to win. He led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl Championship during the 2010 Season.

But the Mike McCarthy ERA in Green Bay grew stale after that glorious run to the Super Bowl. It all came crashing down in 2014 when things go so bad between McCarthy and the locker room.

It exploded on the sidelines during the Games as Green Bay stumbled to a 9-7 Record after a 6-2 start.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was having words with McCarthy on the sidelines during Games but McCarthy kept blowing his Quarterback off.

This was a pattern for the 2014 Green Bay Packers. Players calling McCarthy out for a stale Offense but to no avail.

McCarthy was under fire after a Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears when he took the ball out of Rodgers hands and trusted his horrible Defense. This was a week after Mike claimed he turned over a new leaf.

Which was a lie. He never changed.

Things got interesting over the Thanksgiving Holiday when McCarthy was spotted in South Beach meeting with Dolphins Owner Stephen Ross on a possible job.

McCarthy accepted the job and packed his bags for South Beach after a 31-7 crushing loss in Week 17 to the Detroit Lions.

"He didn't care anymore. He was out of there faster than we could say goodbye." Packers WR Jordy Nelson stated.

After the loss to Detroit, McCarthy and Capers were fired.

Now as the Miami Dolphins welcome Mike McCarthy what does this mean for the Fins? They now have a Head Coach with a Super Bowl win under his belt. But a change of scenery might be a good thing.

Miami's Staff is still in place. They were under Joe Philbin this Season so one has to wonder if McCarthy will be making changes but General Manager Dennis Hickey still has the final say on the Team.

Capers could make his way to Miami to reunite with McCarthy but that would mean Defensive Coordinator Kevin Coyle will have to leave.

Things look to get interesting in South Beach this Off-Season...

        ~~SUPER BOWL 49~~

        Glendale, AZ... 2/1/15

The Super Bowl is upon us once again as the defending Champions Seattle Seahawks look to win back to back Lombardis. Seattle went unbeaten at home this year with a perfect 8-0 Record and clinched their second straight NFC West Title. Seattle crushed the Bears hearts in the Divisional Round off a epic Game Winning Drive by Russell Wilson. Seahawks then knocked off the Cowboys in the NFC Championship. The Legion of Boom Defense wrecked havoc on the League once again snatching 36 Interceptions and racking up 50 Sacks. Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn should be a hot Coaching Candidate after the Game. Richard Sherman's 9 Interceptions leads the way.
But on the Offense side of the ball, Quarterback Russell Wilson had a decent year with 3,756 yards 27 Touchdowns and 9 picks. He also rushed for 7 scores while BEAST MODE had over 1,600 yards and 15 Touchdowns.

The "Never Say Die" Seahawks live off never going down without a fight. Head Coach Pete Carroll has a nice Dynasty in the making as Seattle looks to capture their second Super Bowl.

But standing in the way? Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. The Dynasty is back in the Super Bowl after crushing the Chargers 45-7 in the Divisional Round and breaking the Browns hearts 20-17 in the AFC Championship.

Tom Brady is ready to win his 4th Ring and join Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as a 4 time SB QB.

New England held the #1 Seed in the AFC this year with a 13-3 Record and when Brady missed a few games with a torn shoulder, backup Ryan Mallett stepped in to lead the Pats on more victories.

Brady picked up 33 Touchdowns, 11 picks, with 3,765 yards this year as New England looks for it's 4th Title. RB Shane Vereen was a solid Back this Season with 1,525 yards and 14 Touchdowns. Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia's Unit has been very good racking up 26 Interceptions with newcomer Darrelle Revis picking up 8 picks. They also dropped the Quarterback 68 times.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS: Pete Carroll "Same Goal, much tougher opponent."

          1/20/15

          Written By: Adam Schefter

Last year in Super Bowl 48 the Seattle Seahawks dominated the Denver Broncos 43-8 en route to the Seahawks first Super Bowl Championship. Head Coach Pete Carroll and the Hawks are back in the Super Bowl after a 12-4 Record and the 2 Seed.

After Tampa Bay was upset by Dallas, Seattle had the pleasure of hosting the NFC Championship Game in front of the 12's.

          No problem.

Seattle ended the Cowboys Season to clinch their second straight NFC Title and a trip back to the Super Bowl.

But this year's challenge is a much tougher one.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

"We have the same goal but this year the challenge is much more harder for us. New England is a Team that fires on all cylinders. One of the best ever at Quarterback, great Weapons, and here's the challenge compared to last year. A great Defense. Matt and Bill have that Defense absolutely rocking. It's gonna be a test for us for sure." Carroll stated.

Denver last year held the #1 Offense with Peyton Manning setting NFL Records in yards and Touchdowns. The Defense under Jack Del Rio collapsed under the pressure of Seattle's red hot Team.

This year, Bill Belichick and Matt Patricia will try to end the Seahawks "dynasty".

Both Teams are no strangers to each other where the first time New England met Seattle in the "Legion of Booms" coming out party was back in the 2012 Season.

Brady threw 2 picks in the infamous "You Mad Bro!?" Comment by Richard Sherman.

            SUPER BOWL 49

Brady, Belichick, PATRIOTS win 4th Championship after blowout Victory over SEAHAWKS 38-10 in Super Bowl 49...Brady MVP.

            RECAP

Glendale, AZ- The New England Patriots are back on top of the Football mountain with their 38-10 crushing over the Seattle Seahawks.

            The Dynasty continues...

New England knocked Seattle around paying them back for that 2012 victory in Seattle where the Legion of Boom made Brady's life miserable.

The Patriots simply dominated the defending Champions from the opening kickoff. Seattle never stood a chance. The Seahawks received the opening kickoff but the first play of the Game, Quarterback Russell Wilson's first pass was intercepted by Patriots CB Logan Ryan who returned it to the Seattle 12 yard line.

New England took over where Running Back Shane Vereen rushed 12 yards on the Patriots first possession for a Pats 7-0 lead.

Seattle was held to a 3 and out and New England took over but got nothing. The Seahawks rebounded with a Field Goal to head into the Second Quarter 7-3 New England.

"First Quarter we missed some chances but we were still in the game. We just didn't execute like we knew how to." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

Things got worse for Seattle in the Second Quarter however as the Patriots rolled off 10 more points to take a 17-3 lead into halftime. Quarterback Tom Brady found Gronk from the Goal line.

"Even up by 14 at halftime we didn't feel comfortable. Seattle is known for not quitting. We had to go for the throat." Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick stated.

The Patriots received the Second half kickoff. Brady and New England went back to work and Brady continued picking apart the Legion of Boom.

"He went right after them. The man is the Greatest. Hands down." Patriots Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels stated.

Brady connected with Rookie WR Marquez North on a deep 37 yard Bomb that put the Patriots up 24-3 that blew the door wide open.

"We didn't do our job. We blew coverages, we didn't do our assignments and just fell apart. Rough pill to swallow in the biggest game of the year." Seahawks Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn stated.

It was more of the same in the 4th Quarter when Brady connected with Gronkowski again and Fullback James Devlin punched it in from 1 yard out that gave the Patriots a 38-3 lead.

Wilson heaved a prayer in the final moments connecting with WR Jermaine Kearse for the 38-10 final score.

Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson struggled all game long against the Patriots Defense. Wilson was 6/26 with just 173 yards, 1 Touchdown, 2 Interceptions and a fumble. He rushed for 37 yards.

New England put points on the board off all 3 Seattle's Turnovers.

"It was tough losing those Turnovers. New England humbled us tonight." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

Tom Brady had 295 yards and 3 Touchdowns as Seattle simply fell apart on Defense despite Seahawks Linebacker Bruce Irvin dropping him twice.

Seattle had 5 sacks to New England's 2.

            RUSSELL WILSON..MEET LOGAN RYAN...

Patriots 2nd year Cornerback Logan Ryan made his presence known to the Seahawks Quarterback.

Picking off Wilson, Sacking Wilson, and recovering Wilsons fumble.

Patriots RB Shane Vereen rushed for 87 yards and a Touchdown as Patricia's Defense shut down Beast Mode holding Lynch to just 58 yards and no Touchdowns.

"They did a fantastic job shutting us down." Russell Wilson added.

What did Seattle in was the fact that they crumbled on 3rd Down allowing New England to constantly convert.

The Patriots were 11/15 on 3rd Down and no matter how far the distance Brady converted. New England converted 3rd and 11, 3rd and 12, 3rd and 8, etc.

"Those killed us. We couldn't hold them on 3rd Down. They kept converting and scoring." Seahawks Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn stated.

Brady won another Super Bowl MVP as the Pats Dynasty continues. Seattle will need to bounce back in the Off-Season to try to add another Super Bowl to their Franchise.

Minutes after winning his 4th Super Bowl, New England Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady addressed the Media during his victory speech.

"I'm not done yet. We still have a few more of these to win. I'm not done!" Brady yelled as he held yet another Lombardi Trophy over his head.

The 38 year old Quarterback is still under Contract with the Patriots until 2017.

In 2014 Brady won "AFC Best Quarterback" throwing for 33 Touchdowns and over 3,000 yards.

He now adds another Super Bowl MVP to his resume'.

DENVER BRONCOS: Peyton Manning returning for 2015 Season... "I'm coming back. Not done yet."

                  Written By: Adam Schefter

One of the main storylines this Off-Season was the decision on retirement of Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning.

                  We now have the answer.

Manning is returning to the Mile High City.

"I'm ready to come back for the Broncos. Ready to bounce back and get the Broncos back to the Playoffs." Manning stated.

The 39 year old Quarterback had his worst year in his Hall of Fame Career throwing for 41 Interceptions and Denver faltered to a 4-11-1 Record.

"This year was just terrible for me. I don't want to go out like that. Tom (Brady) just won another Super Bowl. I'd like to win one more before I call it quits." Manning stated.

REED, GATES, DAWSON Headline Retirement List.....

-As the New England Patriots celebrate another Super Bowl Championship and the NFL turns it's clock to the Off-Season, we take a look at the Players who have decided to hang up their cleats.

New York Jets Safety Ed Reed had one last hoorah signing with the Jets in Week 4 reuniting him with Rex Ryan on a 1 year Deal. His presence helped "Gang Green" back to the Playoffs with a 9-6-1 Record falling to the Tennessee Titans in the Wildcard Round.

San Diego Chargers Tight End Antonio Gates has been a favorite target of Quarterback Phillip Rivers for years. As the Bolts made the Playoffs in 2014, Gates Season ended with a dislocated knee towards the end of the year. This could of been the deciding factor for the legendary TE.

49ers Kicker Phil Dawson has called it a Career. The 9ers had a early exit this year after being shut out 31-0 in Dallas on Wildcard Weekend.

                          CHICAGO BEARS Off-Season Preview

                          - The Chicago Bears turned haters into believers in 2014 as they clinched the NFC North Division Title and a trip back to the Playoffs for the first time since 2010. Along the way Da Bears swept the Packers and even picked up a Wildcard Playoff victory over the Arizona Cardinals. However their Season ended in heartbreaking fashion at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Divisional Round thanks to a Russell Wilson Game Winning Drive.

Head Coach Marc Trestman has the Chicago Bears on the uprise and Quarterback Jay Cutler has just won his first MVP Award of his Career.

Now Chicago will have some choices to make as they enter the Off-Season.

Veterans Cornerback Charles Tillman, Linebacker Lance Briggs, and Safety M.D Jennings are all in the market for a new Contract with Chicago.

However General Manager Phil Emery could save some money by letting Center Brian De La Puente, and Defensive Tackle Stephen Paea walk.

                            CINCINNATI BENGALS Off-Season Preview

                            - The Bengals had a disappointing Season in which the Team finished with a 7-9 Record and missing the Playoffs for the first time since 2010.

Now the Bengals must address the Contracts expiring of their Franchise Quarterback Andy Dalton who threw for 4,620 yards (3rd in NFL) and 36 Touchdowns. This should be priority #1 for the Front Office.

And on top of that, the Bengals also have star WR AJ Green in need of a new deal as well as newly acquired earlier in the year Santonio Holmes who has expressed in signing a long term deal. Both Holmes and Green combined for 18 Touchdowns in the 2014 campaign.

However, plenty of other Offensive Weapons are in need of a new Deal either in Cincinnati or somewhere else.

WR Marvin Jones, TE Tyler Eifert, WR Mohamed Sanu, RB Giovanni Bernard, TE Jermaine Gresham, and RB Benjarvis Green-Ellis are all on expiring Contracts as well.

Looks to be a busy Off-Season for the Bengals...

                              BUFFALO BILLS Off-Season Preview

-The Buffalo Bills first order of business this Off-Season is deciding on the Franchise Quarterback. Head Coach Doug Marrone spent 2014 playing "Musical Quarterbacks" where QB's Josh Allen, Jeff Tuel, Dennis Dixon, and EJ Manuel all split snaps this Season. 5th Quarterback Thad Lewis was traded to Indianapolis for a 5th Round Pick and LB Jonathan Newsome.

If we're going just off numbers alone, Rookie Josh Allen should get the nod to be the starter since throwing for 11 Touchdowns to just 5 picks and over 1,280 yards.

Luckily for Marrone and General Manager Doug Whaley, there's not a single Quarterback in need of a new deal. Just the decision on who's going to be the face of the Franchise.

But for the 2015 Buffalo Bills, Doug Marrone would need results if he wishes to keep his job under the new Ownership. The Bills Playoff drought continues.

                                DENVER BRONCOS Off-Season Preview

                                - The Denver Broncos were an absolute car wreck in 2014. After being blown out in Super Bowl 48 to the Seahawks, Denver proceeded to crash and burn this Season thanks to the horrific play of Quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning had his worst year of his Hall of Fame Career throwing a League leading 41 Interceptions and the Broncos faltered to a 4-11-1 Record.

Now with Manning back on board for a return, the Broncos have hired Wade Phillips to be their new Defensive Coordinator after Jack Del Rio left for rival Oakland.

Denver will look for a bounce back year as GM John Elway will turn his attention to the expiring Contracts of Weapons Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas, and Julius Thomas.

Under a new Defensive Scheme, Denver will look to return to the Playoffs after a one year absence.
