The Green Bay Packers 2015 campaign under new Head Coach Joe Philbin is off to a rough start.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his thumb on his throwing hand earlier today when Broncos Linebacker Von Miller collided with Rodgers arm during a sack.
"It's broken." Rodgers added. "They say I may be out for over a month but right now the time frame is 5 Games once I get some surgery."
After the Packers victory over the Denver Broncos earlier today, Head Coach Joe Philbin announced that Joe Callahan will get his first NFL start next week when Green Bay hosts their rivals, the Detroit Lions.
Colby Cameron will be Callahan's backup for the next 5 Games. Both Quarterbacks were on the bench last year and learned from Rodgers.
The Packers next 5 Games will be crucial as we see if Joe Philbin can teach Joe Callahan to be a NFL Quarterback in Rodgers absence.
And it looks to be a brutal stretch as they play the Lions, Vikings, Cardinals, Eagles, and Saints before Rodgers is set back Week 7 against the Oakland Raiders at Lambeau Field.
Callahan and Philbin will need to make magic happen if the Packers don't want to fall into a disastrous 1-5 start in Rodgers absence.
