Cassel's 3 Touchdowns leads VIKINGS over CHARGERS 28-17..

    RECAP

Minneapolis, MN- The Minnesota Vikings(1-1) rebounded after a 19-6 loss last week to the Carolina Panthers with a 28-17 victory over the San Diego Chargers(0-2) on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium.

Vikings Quarterback Matt Cassel had 195 yards and 3 Touchdowns with a pick as Minnesota got it's first win of the 2015 campaign.

"Felt great to get the first win this early." Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer stated. "Got something really special here in the making."

    He wasn't wrong.

The Vikings boosted their Defense this Off-Season with Zimmer's rebuild continuing and today's victory showed just how good they can be.

Chargers Quarterback Phillip Rivers had 215 yards, 1 Touchdown, and a pick. San Diego punted 5 times as Minnesota held them to 3 and outs and held RB Ryan Matthews to just 62 yards.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson rushed for 168 yards and a score.

"Outplayed today. No easy way of putting it." Chargers Head Coach Mike McCoy stated.

    WELCOME TO THE NFL KID..

Manning, BRONCOS rebound with 27-10 victory over RAIDERS..

      RECAP

Oakland, CA- The Denver Broncos(1-1) rebounded from a Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers with a 27-10 win over AFC West Rivals, the Oakland Raiders(0-2).

Oakland is off to a rough start as Quarterback Derek Carr is hurt with a Broken Collarbone. Carr hurt it in last weeks loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Backup Veteran Matt Schaub got the nod from new Head Coach John Pagano.

Oakland(0-2) started nice taking a 10-3 lead into halftime when Schaub found WR Nate Washington for the Touchdown.

But in the Second Half the wheels came off for Oakland as Denver ran over their Rivals inside the Oakland Coliseum.

Schaub absolutely struggled as he began missing throws and finished with just 85 yards, 1 Touchdown, and 2 Interceptions.

"It was a disaster. We just never got the ball moving. Denver just took advantaged afterwards give them credit." Raiders Head Coach John Pagano said.

Pagano took over for former Head Coach Dennis Allen who was fired after the Raiders finished 0-16 becoming the second Team in history to do so.

Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning rebounded with 275 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

But the running game struggled for both Teams in this Divisional Matchup. Broncos RB Montee Ball had 64 yards and a fumble. Raiders Maurice Jones-Drew had only 53 yards.

In this AFC West battle no Receiver broke 60 yards. (Wes Welker had 59)

A glimpse of a new Raiders Defense from former Broncos Defensive Coordinator, Jack Del Rio.

New Broncos DC Wade Phillips had a coming out party of his own as Denver forced 3 Raiders Turnovers.

The Broncos held the Raiders to just 154 yards of Offense really showing what Phillips schemes can do.

"We got our *** kicked." Raiders Offensive Coordinator Mike Tice said. "That's the truth. I really don't want to talk about it."

Trailing 27-10 late in the 4th Quarter, John Pagano benched Matt Schaub for backup Matt McGloin.

It was a disaster as his first pass was intercepted by Broncos CB Aqib Talib.

The Broncos would ice the win afterwards.

LIONS dominate Rodgers-less PACKERS 31-14, Green Bay loses another Quarterback..

        RECAP

Green Bay, WI- The Green Bay Packers(1-1) may be in trouble.

Last week in a 40-15 victory over the Denver Broncos Franchise Quarterback Aaron Rodgers broke his thumb on his throwing hand. He's out until Week 7. Head Coach Joe Philbin announced backup Joe Callahan will get his first NFL start this week against the Division Rivals, Detroit Lions(1-1).

Callahan struggled in his first NFL start as the Packers and Lions did battle at Lambeau Field.

Detroit(1-1) raced out to a 14-0 lead in just the first quarter as Green Bay(1-1) struggled to get anything going on Offense, and the Defense couldn't stop anybody.

Callahan found some rhythm throwing his first Career Touchdown pass to Tight End Colt Lyerla.

But disaster struck in the 3rd Quarter when Callahan fractured his foot taking a sack.

It's announced that he will miss the next 5 Games. This is another blow to Joe Philbin's first year as Packers Head Coach.

Callahan finished his first NFL start with 82 yards and a Touchdown while taking 3 sacks.

But the Packers Offense struggled today as Detroit's Defense came to play. RB Eddie Lacy was held to just 36 yards off 19 carries.

Punter Tim Masthay punted 8 times as the Lions held Green Bay to constant 3 and outs.

Third stringer Colby Cameron would then enter and struggle against the Lions Defense. He threw his first Career Touchdown to 2nd Year WR Davante Adams. He was sacked 5 times as well.

With Reggie Bush out, the Lions turned to backups Andrew Hale(118 yards and a Touchdown.) and Zach Zenner(63 yards and a Touchdown.)

Quarterback Matthew Stafford even rushed for 44 yards and a score as the Lions crushed the Packers. Green Bay finished with just 112 yards of Offense while Detroit racked up 443.

Stafford had 212 yards, 1 Touchdown, and a pick.

The Packers will have to look to Free Agency for a Quarterback.

          CARDINALS crush FALCONS 42-3

          RECAP

Glendale, AZ- Last year former Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles had the Cardinals a ball hawking Defense.

This year Arizona just might be even scarier under Robert Saleh. The former Jaguars Linebackers Coach was hired by Arizona and given a chance to show exactly what he's capable of running a whole Defense.

Despite only the first 2 Games, he hasn't disappoint as the Cardinals(2-0) crushed the Atlanta Falcons(0-2) inside University of Phoenix Stadium.

"Really proud of how this Defense has come together this year. It's early but if we keep playing how we did today we feel like no one can beat us." Cardinals Defensive Coordinator Robert Saleh stated.

Saleh's Defense wrecked havoc on the Falcons today sacking Quarterback Matt Ryan 9 times, intercepting him 3 times, and causing a Ryan fumble.

Atlanta(0-2) had 5 Turnovers in general as the 5th was a Roddy White fumble after taking a hit.

Atlanta finished with just 122 yards of Offense. Matt Ryan had 106 yards and 3 Interceptions.

"Arizona was good last year. This year I think that Defense is better. They're gonna be a tough Team to beat this year especially here in Arizona." Falcons QB Matt Ryan stated.

Falcons RB Devonta Freeman had just 60 yards as Arizona absolutely just dominated on Defense.

          The Falcons punted 4 times.

Cardinals Quarterback Carson Palmer lit up the Falcons Defense. The 35 year old signed a 1 Year Deal to return to the Desert.

Palmer threw 299 yards, 3 Touchdowns, and a pick as Palmer is undecided if this is his last year in the NFL or not.

"I'm not ready for that decision. I have a year left here and the reason is so I can decide to come back or walk away. My focus is this year and we'll see where it goes." Palmer stated.

Cards RB Andre Ellington rushed for 81 yards and 2 Touchdowns.

Cardinals James Harrison who resigned for a 1 year deal led the way again for that monstrous Defense. The 37 year old has become a leader after John Abraham retired this Off-Season.

Harrison had 2 Sacks to lead the way. Linebacker Daryl Washington intercepted Matt Ryan and took it 43 yards to the house for a Pick 6.

Ryan's other 2 Interceptions were by Safety Tyrann Mathieu.

BROWNS knock off PATRIOTS on Manziels Game Winning Drive 27-20...

            RECAP

BELIEVELAND- Last year Cleveland lost to New England in the AFC Championship Game. The Dynasty went on to win Super Bowl 49.

The Brownies packed their bags for the long off-season.

It was only fitting that these two would meet this year on Primetime and it didn't disappoint.

Cleveland(2-0) handed Johnny Manziel the keys this year and Money has not disappointed the Browns faithful.

With the lights on bright and the NFL world watching, the Browns(2-0) met the New England Patriots(1-1).

And it was hands down the Game of the Year, not just the Week.

Neither Team backed down as the two went toe to toe like 2 Heavyweights.

"Money" lived up to his name throwing 241 yards and 2 Touchdowns lighting up the Patriots Defense.

Brady was 246 yards with a Touchdown. Brady faced a ferocious Browns Defense that dropped him 5 times and held New England to 296 yards of Offense while the Browns had 428.

2014 Rookie of the Year RB Terrance West wrecked havoc on the Patriots Defense. 32 carries, 173 yards, and a score. West scored the Game Winning Touchdown with just 45 seconds left and the Browns held on for the 27-20 victory.

Cleveland held Pats RB Shane Vereen to just 59 yards.

I'm really hoping your football world here has Johnny Manziel winning MVP - what a story that would be! Seems like you're pretty good on the sticks with him, at least compared to Peyton last year.

                  RECAP

Chicago, IL- Tony Romo got hurt breaking his Collarbone in the Cowboys Week 1 loss to the New York Jets.

So Dallas turned to Brandon Weeden.

The Cowboys(1-1) upset the Chicago Bears(1-1) on Monday Night 43-22 and it was a dominating performance from Dallas from the kickoff.

"Great execution. " Cowboys Head Coach Jason Garrett stated.

Reigning MVP Jay Cutler was under fire by the Dallas Defense. Cowboys Defensive Coordinator Rod Marinelli came prepared.

"He was MVP and a really great Quarterback last year. We knew we had to put pressure on him to give us a chance." Marinelli said.

The Boys pressured Cutler on every snap resulting in 3 sacks, and 3 picks as Cutler struggled.

"We didn't play well give Dallas credit." Bears Head Coach Marc Trestman stated.

Cutler had 249 yards, 2 Touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

                  The Great Wall of Dallas

The Cowboys Offensive Line is hands down the best in the league. They held Chicago's Defense in check and never once allowed a Sack on Brandon Weeden. At times Weeden had 10 seconds in the pocket and got surgical with his throws.

Weeden had 356 yards, 4 Touchdowns and a pick as he picked apart the Bears Defense all night.

The Panthers believe Cam Newton will have a rebound year and get Carolina back to the Playoffs after giving him 107 Million Dollars. On Sunday, the Panthers were blown out by the Bucs 34-13 and will look to rebound against the struggling New Orleans Saints who are off to a 0-2 start after falling in Indy to a last second Field Goal.

The 2 South Rivals will kick off Week 3 with the lights on bright on Thursday Night Football.

PANTHERS knock off SAINTS 40-34 in Overtime on Thursday Night...

                            RECAP

Charlotte, NC- The brutal start for the season is over for the New Orleans Saints(0-3).

New Orleans spent the first 3 Games on the road and it wasn't pretty.

Losses to the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and tonight to the Carolina Panthers.

"We don't decide our schedule. We just have to be much better but was it a tough stretch? Absolutely." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton stated.

The Saints(0-3) will get some breathing room as four of their next five games are inside Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

"It was a brutal way to start our Season and it's more rough knowing that we couldn't get a win on the road yet. We have to go home now and get some victories to turn this around." Saints Assistant Head Coach Dennis Allen stated.

Allen is in his first year with the Saints after being fired from the Oakland Raiders.

The Carolina Panthers(2-1) absolutely dominated the Run Game tonight off Rookie RB Dematrae Boatwright.

The Georgia Bulldog had his best Game yet rushing for 219 yards and 3 Touchdowns including the 79 yarder he broke through for the winning Touchdown on the first play of Overtime.

"He's a dynamic Player. He's gonna be great for us this year and his career." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Jonathan Stewart had 96 yards and a score. Quarterback Cam Newton had 145 yards and a Touchdown while Carolina took a 14-3 lead.

But the Saints battled back with a Drew Brees bomb to Rookie Jorell Hobbs for his first Touchdown. It was 17-17 at the half.

"It's an honor man really. Catching a Touchdown from Drew (Brees)" Hobbs stated.

Brees also got newly signed undrafted Rookie Addison Addison his first Career Touchdown.

                            "Blessed." Addison stated.

Brees finished the night with 399 yards, 4 Touchdowns, and a pick as he brought the Saints on a Game Tying Drive to force Overtime when he found trusty Marques Colston in the back of the End Zone.

Charles Godfrey picked off Brees on a deep pass.

Colston finished with 7 catches, 120 yards, and a Touchdown.

But like how it's been all night, the Saints Defense failed to get stops.

"Unacceptable performance by us." Saints Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan stated. "We need to be much better and can't be giving up that many points."

Carolina(2-1) converted 7 times on Third Down as New Orleans failed to stop them.

"We just handled our business. We knew they couldn't stop us." Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton stated.

Panthers Defensive Coordinator Sean McDermott struggled to contain Drew Brees.

"There is no stopping him. Might slow him down a little but no stopping him." McDermott said.

"We had chances but couldn't really close the deal. Give Carolina credit." Saints Quarterback Drew Brees said.

Carolina(2-1) racked up 614 Total Yards to New Orleans(0-3) 569.

"Lot of work to do and still a long year ahead. Getting back home next week against Atlanta should be the first step in the right direction." Saints Head Coach Sean Payton said.

Saints RB Joique Bell was held to just 40 yards as Carolina shut down the run game but Brees lit them up in the passing game.
