49ERS ride Defense's 15 Sacks to 38-21 blowout over SEAHAWKS on Sunday Night...

    RECAP

Seattle, WA- Not since Jim Harbaugh's first Season in 2011 with the 49ers were they able to beat their hated rival in Seattle.

    Until tonight.

"That was a huge win for us tonight! For us to go out there inside their Stadium and come away with a win especially in such a dominating fashion is something to be very proud of. I'm very proud of this Football Team." 49ers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh stated.

In 2011, San Francisco swept Seattle on their way to Jim Harbaugh's Coach of the Year and a return trip back to the Playoffs that kicked the 49ers back into NFC Contenders.

Since then the rivals have split the Season Series with each Team winning on their Home Field.

Tonight on Sunday Night Football San Francisco(3-0) dominated the Seattle Seahawks(1-2) for their first win in Seattle since 2011.

Harbaugh and Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio had the 9ers Defense ready to play and they came in with 15 Sacks on Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson.

"We were ready for this Game. We watched a lot of film this week and seeing as how we know each other very well we knew what to expect from them." 49ers Linebacker Aldon Smith stated.

Smith continues his great Defensive Performance after breaking the All Time Sack Record in a Season last year when he finished with 30.

Tonight Aldon Smith led the 49ers 15 Sacks with 5 himself beating backup Seahawks Left Tackle Alvin Bailey who is filling in for the injured Russell Okung. Bailey allowed 3 Sacks.

In fact, the entire Seahawks Offensive Line allowed Sacks as the 49ers Pass Rush broke through at will.

Aldon Smith had 5 Sacks, Ahmad Brooks had 4, Ray McDonald 2, Antoine Bethea, Navarro Bowman, Jimmie Ward, and Kaleb Ramsey all had 1.

"That was possibly the best Defensive performance I have ever seen since I've been here. Great job by our guys to go out there and execute like that." 49ers Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio stated.

However despite the Defensive performance by the 49ers(3-0) the Seahawks(1-2) had 352 yards of Offense as neither Team could stop the other throughout the game.

Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson led the Hawks on 3rd Down Conversions which included 3rd and 10, 3rd and 14, and 3rd and 18.

Wilson finished with 299 yards, 2 Touchdowns, and a pick despite the 15 Sacks.

His interception from the 6 yard line was picked off by Safety DJ Morris who returned it 97 yards for a Pick 6 that put the 49ers up 14-7.

But the Seahawks roared back with that "Never Say Die" attitude that defines them over the past 2 years.

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick struggled against the Legion of Boom Defense but finished with 160 yards 2 Touchdowns and a pick. His 2 Touchdowns were to Jerry Rice JR.

Kaep racked up 128 yards on the ground however and 2 Rushing Touchdowns by Frank Gore with 68 yards.

San Francisco(3-0) pulled away for good in the 4th Quarter with 10 unanswered points.

BEAST MODE had 91 yards and Robert Turbin rushed for a Touchdown but thats all Seattle(1-2) got on the ground.

"Back and forth game between us and tonight they got the win. Doesn't sit well with us especially here at home but all you can do is work harder and get ready for the next one." Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll stated.

The "Rematch" and next chapter for these two will be Week 13 Sunday Night Football in Santa Clara.

GIANTS 21 Point 4th Quarter leads to 41-24 victory over BUCCANEERS on Monday Night...

      RECAP

East Rutherford, NJ- Eli Manning was all smiles as he hugged Head Coach Todd Bowles on the sidelines as the New York Giants(2-1) defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(2-1) on Monday Night inside MetLife Stadium.

"He's a great Coach and leader for us." Manning stated. "He came in here with a whole new philosphy and we all really bought in. It's early for everyone but the guys in our locker room are really excited for what's ahead."

New York(2-1) has firmly moved into 1st Place in the NFC East heading into Week 4.

But it was a grind to get that spot as the Buccaneers(2-1) rolled into MetLife after victories over the Eagles and Panthers. Tampa got their Quarterback Brian Hoyer on a 3 year/9m Deal after Josh McCown hung up his cleats after last season where Tampa Bay lost in the NFC Divisional Round to the Dallas Cowboys.

But Hoyer struggled tonight with 350 yards, 3 Touchdowns, 4 picks, and a lost fumble.

New York put points up on the board off each Turnover with Kicker Josh Brown kicking 2 Field Goals.

"We got points but I would have preferred a Touchdown honestly." Giants Head Coach Todd Bowles stated.

Giants Quarterback Eli Manning struggled against the Bucs Defense with 314 yards 1 Touchdown, and 2 picks.

The Giants turned to RB Michael Cox who rushed for 152 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Buccaneers RB Doug Martin had just 58 yards.

But both Defenses struggled to get stops as Tampa had 418 yards of Offense to New York's 471.

STEELERS roll over BRONCOS 56-31 on Thursday Night...

        RECAP

Pittsburgh, PA- The Pittsburgh Steelers(4-0) are making a statement this Season it seems like.

"We're the best Team in the NFL. That's our mindset. We're proving it week after week." Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger stated.

"Big Ben" made his return after missing the previous two Games with a dislocated elbow.

To kick off Week 4 on Thursday Night Football Pittsburgh welcomed the Denver Broncos(1-3).

Denver appears to be having a rough start to the new Season where QB Peyton Manning is once again struggling to find consistency.

"We're in a slump, a funk really. If we can't fix it soon we'll be in a deep hole again like last year." Manning stated.

Manning had 309 yards, 2 Touchdowns, and 2 picks as Denver was completely dominated by the Steelers.

The game started off bad for the Broncos(1-3) as Aqib Talib fumbled the opening kickoff. Steelers RB LeGarrette Blount crossed the Goalline for a 7-0 Steelers lead.

On Denvers first Possession Manning was intercepted by Safety Troy Polamalu who returned it for a Touchdown and just like that, the Steelers(4-0) held a 14-0 lead over the Broncos(1-3).

"Those first two Possessions just doomed us from the beginning. We never really got our foot out the door if you will. Disappointing loss for us." Broncos Head Coach John Fox stated.

Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell rushed for 174 yards and 2 Touchdowns as Denver struggled to contain Pittsburgh.

QB Ben Roethlisberger had 298 yards and 3 Touchdowns as Pittsburgh put on a clinic with the lights on bright. All 3 Touchdowns went to 2nd year TE Rob Blanchflower.

"Executed well tonight against Denver. We have a lot to prove this year." Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin said.

Broncos RB Montee Ball was held to just 49 yards and a Score as Pittsburgh's Defense wrecked havoc all night. They sacked Manning 4 times as well.

DENVER BRONCOS: Peyton Manning "We're in a slump right now."

          10/1/15

          Written by: Adam Schefter

Moments after the Denver Broncos fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers 56-31 on Thursday Night Football, Broncos QB Peyton Manning spent a few moments with the Media buzzing around the locker room at Heinz Field.

"We're in a slump right now." Manning said. "If we can't fix it quick then we're going to be in a deep hole again like last year. We just need to figure out how to turn things around."

Manning is having a rough start to the 2015 Campaign as well as he now has 1,111 yards 4 Touchdowns and 4 Interceptions this year.

          The Broncos sit at 1-3.

JETS top EAGLES in Philly 27-13...

                  RECAP

Philadelphia, PA- The New York Jets(2-2) continue to rally behind the strong play of their young Quarterback John David Booty who has really gave the Jets Faithful hope after "Gang Green" returned to the Playoffs last year.

Despite New York having multiple Players on Injury, Booty continues to lead the Team.

"He's one hell of a great Football Player. Glad we got him here and gave him a chance." Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan stated.

Booty was phenomenal today throwing for 207 yards and 2 Touchdowns as the Jets topped the struggling Philadelphia Eagles(1-3) in Philly on a bright sunny Sunday Afternoon.

Eagles QB Nick Foles threw 252 yards with 2 Touchdowns and a pick as Philly struggled to score points.

Shady McCoy was held to 84 yards while Jets backup RB Chris Ivory got 62 yards as both Defenses apparently could contain the run but not the pass.

"Bad performance on our part. Still a long year to go but we need to correct our mistakes for next week." Eagles Head Coach Chip Kelly stated.

Foles found Riley Cooper and Jordan Benjamin for Touchdowns but in the Second half the Jets pulled away for good.

Both of Booty's Touchdowns were to Jeremy Kerley. Foles was sacked 5 times as the Jets Defense brought the pressure many times.

"Need to protect our QB better. Those guys up front know they need to do a better job." Kelly added.

Boos were heard in the second half as the Eagles Fans didn't like what they saw.

                          ~~THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL~~

Week 5 kicks off tonight with the Carolina Panthers hosting the New York Giants inside Bank of America Stadium. Carolina is looking for a redemption year after a disastrous 2014 campaign. New York also had a rough year last year and is looking for a rebound with new Head Coach Todd Bowles at the helm. 4 Days ago on Sunday, the G-Men lost to their hated Rivals, Dallas Cowboys 34-31 inside MetLife Stadium. Carolina won on a last second FG over the Colts in Indy.

This is a huge Game for both Teams as both the Giants and Panthers are tied for First Place in their Divisions, New York with Dallas and Carolina with Tampa Bay.

New York ranks 4th in Points and Yards on Offense as Giants Offensive Coordinator Ben McAdoo has the G-Men looking to keep putting up points on the board. Carolina's Defense ranks 11th in Points allowed as DC Sean McDermott will try to stop the Giants from scoring.

Manning leads epic Game Winning Drive as GIANTS outlast PANTHERS 24-20 on Thursday Night...

                            RECAP

Charlotte, NC- Eli Manning hugged his WR Victor Cruz in the Endzone seconds after he caught the Game Winning pass as the New York Giants(3-2) defeated the Carolina Panthers(3-2) as time expired on Thursday Night.

"We were so caught up in that moment after we just won the Game." Giants Quarterback Eli Manning stated. "I hugged Cruz and we celebrated right there in the Endzone. It was absolutely incredible for us all."

New York(3-2) was down 14-0 to the Carolina Panthers(3-2) on Thursday Night Football before Eli Manning got the Offense going.

Carolina's Rookie Running Back Dematrae Boatwright continues to make a case for himself as potential Rookie of the Year as he broke free for a 19 yard Touchdown run that put the Panthers up 7-0 to kick off Week Five.

"Just here to do my part man. I'm trying to prove to everyone that Carolina drafted me for a reason." Boatwright said.

After a 3 and Out by the Giants, Carolina went up 14-0 when Quarterback Cam Newton found TE Greg Olsen to kick off the Second Quarter.

But then New York came alive.

Eli Manning had 358 yards, 2 Touchdowns, and 2 Interceptions as the G-Men rattled off 17 straight points to take a 17-14 lead.

The Panthers(3-2) would tie it as Cam Newton was under constant pressure by the Giants Defense.

"Got after him (Cam) a lot tonight and that's what we needed to give us a chance to win this Game." Giants Head Coach Todd Bowles stated.

Steve Spagnuolo's Defense made life miserable for Cam Newton as the Giants sacked him 8 times and Newton had just 116 yards and a Touchdown.

"They were all over me tonight man. Nothing more to say." Newton said.

"They held us pretty good tonight and the way they executed is something for us to work on for next week. We need to bounce back." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Carolina finished with just 207 Yards of Offense to the Giants 451.

Newton led the Panthers down and Graham Gano kicked a Field Goal that put Carolina up 20-17 with just 44 Seconds left on the clock.

Then Eli Manning took over with one timeout.

"This is where he thrives. He's won 2 Super Bowls in similar fashion." Todd Bowles added.

Manning led the Giants down on an epic 78 yard Game Winning Drive where he connected with Victor Cruz on a 11 yard Touchdown pass as the clock hit all Zeros.

Next week the Giants will try to get pay back over the Dallas Cowboys.

CAROLINA PANTHERS: Cam Newton unhappy with Tonight's Performance

After a Thursday Night Football loss to Eli Manning and the New York Giants, Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton made it known to the Media that his Team's performance was unacceptable to his standards.

"Tonight was absolutely unacceptable. No other words to say. Nobody should be happy with how the Game ended. We gave up with just 44 seconds left on the clock. I didn't play very well either sure what else do you want me to say?" Newton stated.

Newton was held to just 116 yards and a Touchdown while the Panthers had just 207 Yards of Offense.

Newton was also sacked 8 times in the loss to the Giants.

"He's very passionate about this Team and we all love him for it. He knows we didn't play well. I agree with him." Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera stated.

Carolina sits at 3-2 and will have a chance to redeem themselves next Sunday when they travel to St. Louis to play the winless Rams.

After back to back Super Bowl Appearences, it appears that the Seattle Seahawks are finally suffering a hangover after dominating the NFC the past two years. However if there's anything to know about Pete Carroll's Seahawks it's their "Never Say Die" attitude that has defined the Hawks for the past 3 years. Today Seattle is in Minnesota where the Vikings are 2-0 at home inside TCF Bank Stadium. This Season will be the last for the Vikings inside TCF as they prepare to open brand new US Bank Stadium.

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson continues to chase history as he now 7th All time on the Touchdown List with 101.

                                "Absolutely blessed." Peterson stated.

The Vikings(2-2) are looking to make that next step forward in Mike Zimmer's Second Year.

The Seahawks will look to turn their Season around as Week 5 Kicks off.
